Skinny Pete reluctantly gives up his crystal core to Emily, who promises to put in a good word for him with Skye. Big Mike is disgusted but doesn't intervene. Chris, Emily, and several others immediately absorb their cores to advance to Stage S. While they are protected by their allies, Chris emerges first, revealing his new skill, 'Parry,' which allows him to deflect attacks with immense power if timed correctly. He also gains an enhanced stealth ability that makes him immune to elemental area attacks. Henry is next, revealing his 'Phantom Double' skill for evasive maneuvers and a new Innate Ability to heal soul wounds, a vital skill given the potential threat of soul-targeting races.
