Janine wakes up sore after a passionate night with Apollo. Talia, excited and intrusive, arrives and immediately bombards Janine with invasive questions about her experience. Janine, despite her discomfort and Talia's overwhelming personality, tries to get information about how long Talia has been there.

"I don’t know, lad. This is an official diplomatic mission. While I trust you and your judgement, I really don’t think it’s a good idea." Sigismund said and took a sip of his Psionic beer.

We were both on our sixth and I had hoped it would make him slightly more malleable, but like me, the drink has no effect on him.

Since straight up asking didn’t work, I had to go to plan B.

Lean into his intense xenophobia.

I shrugged my shoulders and leant back in my chair, bringing my drink to my chin. "I suppose. I just thought that even though this is supposed to be a peace mission, we could give the Coalition one last ’fuck you’ before we do."

I then took a sip of my drink and began to look around the room at nothing in particular until Sigismund asked,

" A ’Fuck you’ how?"

I looked back at him, feigning ignorance for a moment before I came to. "Oh, right. So think about it. The Coalition literally banished an entire species from their false empire. Imagine one of them coming back during an official peace mission? It would be like a kick in the teeth, I very much doubt they will like one there. But they also wouldn’t be able to do anything without voiding the peace treaty. Basically, it would be a massive joke at their discomfort."

"Hmmm..." Sigismund vocalised as he took another sip of his drink. He then began to stroke his stubbly beard before turning his head and calling out, "Jocasta."

A moment later, the woman in question appeared. "My King. Apollo. Having a fun discussion?"

"Jocasta, take a seat." Sigismund declared and gestured vaguely in my direction. Jocasta then turned to me and asked.

"Do you mind?"

"Not at all, please, join us." I said with a smile and Jocasta’s eyes narrowed in lieu of a smile and to my surprise, suddenly sat on my leg.

I didn’t even try to figure out why she sat on my leg when there was a chair right next to me, I was distracted by the weight of the woman. Without being able to use my Psionics, all that metal around her body was not light.

"Apollo, I can feel your impolite thoughts. Cease them at once." Jocasta declared, looking me in the eyes before wiggling her rear to get comfy and then turned to Sigismund. "So what did you need, my King?"

"Apollo has come up with a good plan to stick it to the Coalition one last time before we are forced to accept peace." Sigismund said, prompting Jocasta to turn towards me.

"*Squark* Has he now? Apollo, what nefarious scheme have you come up with? I’ll run the data to see if it won’t violate the terms of the peace."

I opened my mouth to explain, but somehow the words came out of Sigismund’s mouth. "Apollo here want’s to use his Sepiida as a big ’fuck you’ to the Coalition during the mission. He thinks since they exiled the blue fucks, that seeing one at the peace talks might cause some discomfort amongst the enemy, but they will also be able to do nothing about it. Honestly, I still don’t like the idea a lot, but I can see the upsides to it. What do you think?"

Jocasta then turned to me and raised an eyebrow. "That is your intention for bringing ’your’ Sepiida? I see..." It then felt like Jocasta was smiling at me teasingly despite having no mouth.

A few seconds passed before she turned back to Sigismund. "I think it’s a good idea. It will cost us next to nothing and rile up our longest standing enemy at the same time. I say we utilise this tactic schemed up by our favourite Sentinel." She said and I suddenly jolted in surprise as I felt a metal tendril begin to rub my upper thigh discreetly.

"Fine. Then add the Sepiida to the grouping. Now then, onto something less tedious. Apollo, do you fancy another drink?"

...

After two more rounds, I was finally able to slink away from Sigismund and miss touchy tendrils. Not that I minded the latter too much, I think she was just being a little flirty and she didn’t cross into any no no zones which I appreciated.

I began to look around the event room for the girls and it didn’t take long for me to spot Valerica chatting with some elderly ladies. Getting ready to put my ’good son’ act on for her benefit, I began making my way over, but was suddenly stopped.

"Apollo! Hello my friend!"

I smiled and replied. "Hey, Elaine. How are you enjoying the party?"

Elaine giggled to herself. "Oh you know~ There have been no incidents or anything so I haven’t had to intervene in anything so I have had a few drinks." She then leant closer, or attempted to as she lost her balance slightly and pressed her hand up against my torso.

"I might be a bit drink... Drunk. But it’s ok. No one can tell. Plus everyone else is also drunk, so it’s ok. Ssshh though. I’m only telling you because we are very close, personal friends now... Wow. I couldn’t imagine sleeping on that. It’s hard as rocks." Elaine said, referencing my abs as she began to rub a little bit before seemingly composing herself.

"Anyways! What were you and the man baby talking about?"

"Man baby? What are you- Whoa! You really are drunk." I said, resisting the urge to laugh as she just called Sigismund that.

"Ugh but he is one though! This is the first event he has behaved himself. My baby is growing into a man toddler, so I need to know what you were talking about so I can keep him mellow in the future. Or was it just that super drug you made? Oh, Did I apologise for being mean to you about calling your science black biology? Because I am sorry, I was just being petty. That is just so my mother..."

I chuckled at Elaine. "It’s fine. Like you said, we are friends now. Lets put everything in the past and-"

"Is everything alright here?" A figure approached and wrapped his arm around Elaine.

Holding back my displeasure of the man, I smiled and replied. "Yes, your majesty. The queen was just-"

"Dickon, have you felt Apollo’s abs? Listen!" She then proceeded to rasp on my stomach. "It’s like knocking on wood! Who is there~ Here, feel!"

Without a moment to register what was going on, Dickon found himself forced by his wife to touch my stomach. The situation was not fun for either party involved.

"*Ahem* Very firm, well done." He said and pulled back his hand.

"Yeah... Thanks."

Elaine then looked between the two of us and smirked. "Wow, you could cut the tension with a knife."

I ignored that comment and addressed Dickon. "Your wife was just informing me that she has had quite a bit to drink tonight, perhaps she should have something to eat to help soak up some of that alcohol?"

"Good idea, Sentinel. Thank you."

I nodded and turned to Elaine. "See you later, your grace."

"Bye~"

...

After watching Apollo walk away, Dickon let his guard down, he thankfully misread the situation. He would blame it on the alcohol he himself had consumed.

Still holding his wife, he asked. "Are you ok, dear? Do you want me to get you something to eat."

Elaine suddenly looked away from the Sentinel and up at him, biting her lip. "Yeah, I want some salty and warm ’yogurt’, can you help satisfy my craving?"

Dickon proceeded to frown and looked over to the food table that had been constantly restocked all night. He hadn’t seen yogurt once. "I don’t think there is any, my love. I could ask the chefs to make you some if that is what you want?"

He then turned back to Elaine and she was now frowning. "Oh yeah, you would love to talk to that big titted chef wouldn’t you? Forget it!" Elaine then wriggled herself free from his grasp and walked away back to her handmaidens, upset for some reason. Leaving Dickon standing there, confused.

’What just happened? It was going so well. We were talking...’ He then heard his name called out by one of his friends and walked back over to them, the alcohol already making him forget what just happened.

...

After talking to Elaine, I went back to the bar and chugged five beers back to back. After the fifth, I finally felt that little buzzing feeling in my brain, the most I could feel on the beer, unlike whatever poison Serena and I drank the other night.

Still, I needed it, my head hurt talking to Sigismund for so long. I then ordered another one and walked away over to Valerica as I still couldn’t see the others.

Meanwhile the bartender watched with wide eyes as I walked away. He couldn’t believe what he had seen over the course of the night.

’How is that big bastard still not drunk... No, how is that big bastard Still fucking alive?!?’
