Janine cursed as she slowly, but surely made her way down the stairs.

"Stupid Apollo, you didn’t have to be so rough... Tssk!" She mumbled to herself, though she knew why she was hurting so much.

Apollo did say he would punish her, and he did. It was her own fault for asking for it harder. Like Orchid takes it.

That was her mistake and she was paying for it now.

Slowly, but surely, and a great amount of sucking her teeth, Janine made it downstairs and to the kitchen.

opening the fridge, she managed to scrounge up a few things she didn’t need to cook and made her way to the kitchen island

After giving herself a quick head nod affirming that she was ok and that it was still worth it, she was about to bite into a piece of fruit when she suddenly realised someone was staring at her from the other side of the island.

"KIYAAAAAAAH! Janine! You are finally awake! Give me a hug! Hahahahahaha!" Talia yelled out in delight as she ran over and hugged Janine tight, rocking back and forth as she did so, which didn’t help Janine’s pain.

"Talia, what are you-" Janine attempted to speak, but Talia suddenly began sniffing her.

So I decided to do a nice thing and come see my best friend and admittedly get some points in Apollo’s good book with the gesture. Y’know? Janine let out a laugh at that last remark. "Trust me, even if I found you cute and Apollo was ok with it, no one is going down there right now. I am in agony. Though my biology is slowly catching up."

I then ran into Hank coming through the front door. We chatted for a little bit, but he said that he urgently had to take care of his garden. I haven’t seen him since then. Oh no! Oh well, anyway, after that I sat around for a bit, found some magazines and gossip articles and read through those until you came into the kitchen and that’s that!"

Janine closed her eyes and took in a deep, deep breath. "And how long ago was that?"

"Oh! About two hours ago." Talia replied with a cheerful smile.

"Two hour-" Janine made a fist and pressed it against her forehead and took a few rage suppressing long breaths before looking back at Talia.

"Open with that next time! I ask you how long you have been here, you say two hours. You don’t have to rant on and on about this and that." Janine declared, making Talia laugh.

"Yeah, I know I don’t have to. But I know how much you enjoy listening to my stories and since I know you are in pain, I wanted to cheer you up! You are the best sister I have ever had, so I don’t mind. Don’t worry, you don’t need to thank me."

Janine just slumped her body and rested her head against the kitchen island.
