"Mmmh~ This is nice." Gabrielle said softly.

I looked down at her as we continued to slow dance, a smile creeping onto my face. "It is. I’m still just so relieved you are alive and well."

Gabrielle giggled at my words. ’The amount of times I’ve thought those words since you came back to me. You really are mine~’

She said nothing else. She was enjoying these next few hours to the fullest before she unveiled the truth to Apollo. To her son.

She had gathered enough confidence, built enough of a foundation for their relationship since their first meeting at the college. She was ready.

She was finally ready.

But not yet.... She still needed to dance with him, get him drunk. Flirt just a little bit to cross the boundaries she was setting up for his different reactions to the news. No matter what he did though, no matter how he took it. He would finally know that his mama loves him, that she made a mistake and would do anything, pay any price to fix it.

"Gabrielle? Are you alright? You have gone rigid." I asked and she instantly replied, smiling up at me,

"Oh, sorry. Lost in my own little world again. I am fine. Truly."

I smiled back upon hearing that. "I’m glad."

After another minute the music playing ended and there was a small interlude before the next song started. During that time, Hailey ran over from the side of the room and nudged Gabrielle off me. "My turn!"

I chuckled at her enthusiasm, and so did Gabrielle. I was about to get into position to start dancing with her again, but as I did. Two seas of crimson hair caught my eye from the other side of the room.

"Hold that thought, babe. Valerica has just come back and I need to check she is alright."

Hailey sighed, but nodded her head. "Fine, I am also curious why they were gone for so long, let’s go see."

Wasting no time, Serena and Valerica appeared in my sight over the crowd rather quickly due to their height. I was relieved to see that neither of them were brandishing wounds of any kind. Their clothes were still immaculate and they were talking to...

My pace quickened across the room until they stopped before the trio.

Flowing Crimson hair that stopped past her shoulders. A beautiful face with straight eyebrows. Green eyes that when meeting my own, began to heavily dilate.

I took another step forward.

Her red eyeshadow was not too overpowering to the rest of her facial features, it was the perfect amount. Her small nose still looked adorable resting slightly above her deliciously red lips. The lips that began to smile lovingly towards me.

I was so mesmerised by her beauty, I barely registered the dress she was wearing. Red like her hair with cute little sleeves attached by a few strands under her armpit. The dress was also rather revealing in the chest area, but she was proud of her body. There was no reason not to flaunt it.

I wordlessly approached her and she did the same until we were in arms reach, thats when I acted.

I effortlessly picked her up and brought her into a hug. She had different ideas as she proceeded to jam her tongue into my mouth.

I didn’t resist and joined in.

Individuals nearby naturally could see what was going on. Most didn’t care. The alcohol had been flowing for over an hour, many were already inebriated and a passionate kiss was not something notable.

Others though saw it and saw opportunity.

Milanna walked over to Hailey. She had been keeping an eye out despite keeping her distance. This was the perfect time to create some discourse.

She didn’t like manipulating her princess, but she was currently blinded and needed to see.

Walking to Hailey’s side. She kept the urge to ogle Hailey at bay and simple declared while pointing over to Apollo. "Can you believe that? Kissing another woman right in front of you? The nerve of him. Should I go and say something about how it is upsetting you?"

Milanna expected Hailey to reply in a few different ways, ways she could then use to liberate her future bride. However, she didn’t expect her to say,

"It’s not upsetting me. It’s beautiful!"

"What?" Was what Milanna was able to get out in her confusion.

Hailey watched on as her ’aunt’ kissed her boyfriend passionately.

Before she got into this relationship, she knew she would have been jealous. She was jealous at Elaine’s party after all before the agreement was made between them. But now? After experiencing Apollo’s powerful love herself?

She just felt happy. Happy that her aunty was able to feel that love. That she was able to share this wonderful feeling with one of the only women in the galaxy that truly cared for her after her mother passed.

The one that taught her everything about boys. How to kiss, how to please her man...

It was beautiful, so so beautiful that they both got to share in this wonderful feeling together going forward.

After the shock factor wore off, I pulled back from the kiss and looked my love in the eyes. We hadn’t even said anything to each other yet. That needed rectifying.

"Hey Kat." I cooed to her, still in my arms.

She wrapped her arms around my neck and pressed her forehead against mine as she whispered so only I could hear. "Hello, master~ I have missed you so much~"

She then giggled and then proceeded the conversation by answering all the questions I was about to ask.

"I was just re-entering the core worlds for a small business trip to Avantant when I suddenly received a communication from my lovely aunt, informing me that my future husband was back and not only back, but was going to be attending an event at the royal palace.

I immediately cancelled all my plans, made a few illegal deals to open some FTL lanes directly here. I just had to see you, my love. It has been too long~"

She then kissed me again, though this time it wasn’t as intense as the first. Just more intimate. An act of love.

After the kiss, I put her back down and simply said. "Well, I am so happy you are here. Words aren’t enough to express my happiness right now."

Kathrine giggled and ran her finger down my chest. "Words? No. Actions? I suppose I will feel them later?"

"Guaranteed." I spoke with certainty while also sending some explicit mental images to Kathrine through our bondage link.

Her face remained neutral, though turned a little red as she swiftly changed the topic of conversation and the person she was speaking to.

"Hailey! My darling! Come give your aunty a hug!" Kathrine yelled loudly, pushing me to the side as she ran over to Hailey, who was seemingly stunned up until the moment her face was shoved into Kathrine’s cleavage.

I let them have their moment to catch up, I wasn’t going to be greedy with Kat and her time, that came later. Instead I turned to Serena. " So she was the ’blood relation’ on the communicator when I came to talk to you last night?"

Serena flashed a playful smile at me, but said nothing. I walked up to her and hugged her tightly. "Thank you for doing that for me. I appreciate it so much."

Serena hugged me back and replied. "Of course. I mean, I also want to see my niece. I love Kathrine very much. Don’t think too much of the gesture.

Internally though she thought. ’Looks like my little plan is already working.’

I then pulled away from the hug and asked both Valerica and Serena. "So I take it you have been with her and that is why you were absent?"

Valerica smiled and nodded her head. "Yes. I found sis and Kitten while looking for you. A very welcome surprise, I didn’t realise how much I was missing my daughter. We had to go through another round of photographs and media questioning and then we stopped by the other event hall first so Kitten could see Rhea.

Serena then giggled and chimed in. "As Kathrine said. ’I need to see my daughter first because once I see Apollo, I’m not going to be able to get away from him.’ You should have seen the look in her eye, Apollo. I am beginning to believe I have yet to experience true love like she has for you... Though I am still optimistic for my future~"

Serena then gave me a wink which was followed by Valerica hitting her arm in warning.

As the sisters began giving each other glares, I turned to Kathrine again who was now talking with Gabrielle while still attempting to suffocate the struggling Hailey. Almost all of my non hive loved ones were in the same room at once.

The sight was everything to me.

Though there was one individual missing that should have arrived with Kathrine. "Hey Kat?" I called out and she instantly ceased her conversation.

"Yes my love? Oh! Wait! Let me guess.... Talia?"

I smiled, she knew me too well.

"She was here and was very excited to come and get her hands all over you. But when Serena informed us that Janine had stayed home. She said, and I quote. ’I’ll go check on my best friend. Apollo will appreciate the gesture. Make sure you tell him so he can reward me in the future!’ So yeah, she took a shuttle to go to Mamma’s house. I hope that is ok?"

I nodded my head.

"Of course. I’m sure Janine will appreciate the company."
