Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 1084: Harvesting Souls

Jason was currently in one of the bedrooms in Farlow’s castle, taking a bath. Since Jason was going to be travelling to the ninth domain with Agiel, he couldn’t use his [King’s Substitute] to make the journey shorter, so they had to travel the normal way. Jason was currently using [Eye of the King] to watch a few subordinates travelling through the shadows to find the shortest pathway towards the ninth domain.

In truth, Jason knew that this would certainly work. Even though everyone else was worried about how Jason and Agiel would manage to negate death itself, Jason understood that this power depended entirely on how much you understood the entity you were going up against. And if there was one thing Jason understood more than nearly anyone, it was death.

Jason still didn’t know if they would be able to kill the Celestial of Death by simply erasing its origin because Jason remembered the system telling him how difficult it was for a celestial to be killed. But Jason was at least sure that they could erase the concept of [Instant Death] by using the Erasure of Origin. And if they could find a way into the Cloud of Death, then they might finally be able to target the Celestial’s main body.

’Are you sure you want to go through with this, Jason? I’m not going to question your abilities, and your willingness to put yourself at risk to save other people is commendable, but this... is dangerous.’

Esdath suddenly spoke up from Jason’s alternate dimension, and Jason huffed as he allowed the shower to wash over his body mindlessly. Jason responded to Esdath calmly.

’I’m not risking my life for others. I’m getting paid, remember?’

Esdath scoffed, and he told Jason not to use that crap with him! Esdath knew that Jason had only made the other domains swear their support to him because he wanted to use them in the future for the potential war that was coming! Jason planned to stop the Celestial of Death regardless of what the outcome of that meeting was! Jason didn’t bother responding to Esdath’s words, and Jason ran his hand over his long hair and asked Esdath if he had a point to all this:

’I think you should reconsider your plan. There might be another way to stop this Celestial that doesn’t involve risking your life like this.’

’Unless you have a method that we can prepare in the next twenty-four hours, then shut up.’

Jason spoke in a hard tone, and Esdath went silent before sighing. Honestly, Esdath was just scared. Jason was someone who had become really important to the old cultivator, and the thought of Jason walking into the path of a Celestial did not sit right with Esdath at all. Esdath had faced off against Primordials before, but this was something far beyond that! The Celestials were not creatures that could be understood using simple logic!

Jason told Esdath to stop bothering him, and Jason finally turned away from the conversation. Although Jason was about to go through one of the most unpredictable events of his life, Jason’s mind wasn’t fully on the Celestial of Death right now. Instead, Jason was thinking about the memories that he had received from the King of Jadar. The Mind Apostle was currently hiding out on an unknown world, and the only thing Jason had gotten from those memories inside Agiel’s mindscape was the image of what the world looked like as well as the fact that it was somewhere in the Sixth Domain!

Right now, Jason was using every Legion subordinate he could spare to sweep across every single Rank III and IV world in the Sixth Domain to try and find that bastard! Jason knew that there was a chance that the Mind Apostle was aware of what Jason was doing and the Mind Apostle would try to run away, but Jason didn’t think that was the case yet. What Jason had received while he was searching through the King of Jadar’s mind was just a glimpse of a memory, barely enough to alert the Mind Apostle to what was going on! And since the Mind Apostle didn’t know how to use Qi, there was no way he knew that Jason had figured out where he was hiding!

Jason wanted to find the Mind Apostle far more than he wanted to destroy the Celestial of Death! Because Jason knew that the Mind Apostle had the potential to be a bigger threat than the Celestial! Unlike the Celestial, which was just a mindless killing machine that destroyed anything it came across, the Mind Apostle was deliberate and vindictive in his attacks. There was a high chance that the Mind Apostle would go after Jason’s family in the near future if Jason didn’t deal with him now, and Jason wasn’t prepared to take that risk!

’I know it’s somewhere on the Eastern Corridor. I’ve already searched through most of the West, and I haven’t seen any worlds that look like that one. I need to find him before he makes another move.’

’My King, we’ve arrived at the ninth domain.’

One of Jason’s subordinates spoke up from the Alternate Dimension, and Jason turned his attention towards that group! Jason had sent out a few subordinates to find the quickest path to the ninth domain, and the subordinates had finally arrived at the world where the Celestial of Death was rampaging through. Jason used [Eye of the King] to get his first look at the Celestial Cloud moving across the ninth domain, and Jason was surprised when he saw the sheer size of that cloud! It stretched across the entire world like a blanket of black shadows, and it spared nothing as it charged forward! Anything that even came close to the Celestial Cloud was immediately drained of all life!

Jason was still watching the cloud, and he wasn’t paying attention to some of his subordinates, so he was shocked when he saw a notification appear at the side.

[Three Legion subordinates have been permanently killed.]

’What...?’

Jason turned to the notification tab with a shocked expression, and he saw that a few of his subordinates had trailed a little too close to the Celestial Cloud! The moment the subordinates were covered in the clouds, they were severed from the mortal plane and killed! What the hell?! Does this mean the Celestial of Death could even kill souls!? That was absolutely fucked up! Jason asked the system if there was any way to bring the Legion subordinates that just died back to life, but the system sent back a prompt saying there wasn’t!

Jason was still shocked by what had just happened, but he understood what the system was trying to tell him, and he immediately told all his subordinates to get away from that area before the Celestial reached them! The subordinates accepted the order and travelled to another part of the world, and Jason frowned! The fact that his subordinates could be killed by these celestials meant that Jason couldn’t depend on their help at all during this mission! Jason had already planned to handle this Celestial by himself, but it was disappointing that he couldn’t call out his subordinates even if he wanted to.
