While the raven aircraft was flying in the sky, I noticed that the sky was darker and the environment was pitch black.

The raven aircraft might have been the only vehicle traveling on this path. I continued to pay attention until I felt sleepy.

Talia woke up. She opened her eyes and realized that she was not with the team. She had decided to travel with the masked man with the mysterious background.

She then turned towards her left side and saw that the masked man was awake. He was looking at the passing view. Her gaze swept across the console.

She saw that the speed was already set to maximum. The aircraft might have covered several hundred miles already.

She looked at the passing scenery through the window. She had been to the market city a few times, so she recognized a few landmark terrains.

She wanted to figure out where they were exactly. As time passed, she gazed at one landscape after another, but she had yet to figure it out.

On the other hand, I noticed her actions.

"What are you doing?" I asked her.

Hearing that, Talia was taken aback.

She said, "I was trying to figure out our current location."

My mouth twitched. I thought she was looking for someone. Then I collected my thoughts and said, "Earlier, the aircraft flew over a massive valley."

Talia raised her eyebrows. She recalled seeing such a place during her travels.

"It must be that deep valley. Then we still have a couple of days of travel left," Talia said.

Hearing that, my eyes flickered. She had shared many things yesterday, but I had not touched upon the topic of the Black Mists Forbidden Land.

She was interested in my background as well and had tried to inquire a few times, but I had evaded her questions.

"So, what’s going on with the neighbouring countries?" I asked her.

Talia revealed a smile. She was not naive; she could tell that the masked man was gathering information from her.

Still, she was only sharing general information that could be easily bought in the magic stores in her country.

"We have tensions with neighbouring countries. Everyone is eyeing the resource-rich territories on all sides," Talia replied.

Hearing that, I was not surprised. It was a common thing everywhere; I just didn’t know whether they were all under the Mage Union or not.

"Are there any Forbidden Wizards in your country?" I asked her.

"Forbidden Wizards?" Talia uttered, then shook her head.

"It’s not easy to become a Forbidden Wizard. The Magic Lord is the ceiling both in our country and the surrounding countries," Talia said.

Hearing that, I understood the strength of the country.

Suddenly, Talia’s expression shifted. She had forgotten for a second that the masked man had killed a Magic Lord earlier, meaning he had no rival in her country or the surrounding countries.

She felt an unknown fear. On the other hand, I noticed the change of expression on her face. If I was right, she was probably worried that I could kill a Magic Lord there.

"Don’t overthink it. I already said it: after reaching the Wave Nation, I will give you the reward," I said to her.

Hearing that, Talia’s expression eased. She was getting worried for nothing. With the masked man’s strength, he could easily go to the Wave Nation without her help.

She thought he must have some business to attend to, which was why he was gathering information beforehand. Then, she thought of an important piece of information.

She said, "Do you know anyone in the Wave Nation?"

"Why?"

"What happened?" I asked her.

"You need an identity to enter. I can help you with that. I can even make arrangements for you to stay with my family," Talia said.

I was genuinely surprised. I didn’t expect her to say something like this. In fact, I had thought of asking for her help to find a place to stay.

But even before I could bring up that topic, she offered her help.

I turned towards her and looked into her eyes. I used the system to check whether she was lying to me or not.

The system results showed that she was not lying.

"Are you sure?" I asked her.

"Yes, but on one condition," Talia replied.

A quick gleam appeared in my eyes. Of course, no one helps for free.

"What condition?" I asked her.

Hearing that, Talia took a deep breath before making her decision. She didn’t want to share sensitive information, but if there was a way to save her father, she would do it.

"I want you to save my father. He suffered a serious injury during a magic battle against the enemy," Talia said.

My eyes flashed with understanding. The zero puppet had already reported this matter to me.
