Supreme Lord: I can extract everything! Chapter 1123 Supreme Lord V

Previously on Supreme Lord: I can extract everything!...
Michael reflects on the past as he observes familiar faces in the liquid mirror, including Silverian Schild, the devilishly tough instructor of the EmeraldShield Academy, now helping students survive in the Origin Expanse. He recalls Annabelle Claire, who has shifted from being an eager student to teaching archery. The conversation turns to Kraft Viton, who effortlessly deals with troublesome politicians, bringing laughter to Michael and Alice. However, the mood darkens as Michael contemplates the whereabouts of Quinn Karta, a notorious traitor, and the mysterious absence of Killian Zeus, hinting at a deeper conflict ahead.

"Has he truly departed from the Origin Universe?" Alice inquired, her voice filled with shock. "I was under the impression he had been struggling to reach the status of a Divine Lifeform for some time. It was only after you provided that droplet of Origin Liquid that he succeeded. Why would he choose to abandon the Origin Universe so soon?"

Michael let out a heavy sigh. "He resented the fact that his advancement relied on my charity. In hindsight, offering him assistance when he was so desperate to keep pace might have been a mistake. I should have been more sensitive to his pride."

"You were only being—..."

"I am aware, but perceiving the inner feelings of others is never a simple task. While you see it as consideration, Killian once viewed me as his rival. He harbors no hatred, yet I can sense his feeling of... failure. I truly shouldn't have handed him that Origin Liquid droplet." He ran his fingers through his hair in frustration before regaining his composure. "Still, perhaps the Unknown Domain is where Killian truly belongs. The initial reports from Rebecca and Daniel are quite encouraging. The concept of energies existing beyond Origin Energy is fascinating."

Mana, Force, and Spirita. Michael had traveled to the edge of the Unknown Domain once to attempt a scan of these foreign energies. He had hoped to utilize Extraction on them, but the ability failed to take hold. The moment his Extraction power tried to seize the energy streams, they simply dissolved. He had never encountered such a phenomenon before.

However, Michael didn't fear this unknown element or his inability to extract it; instead, he felt a surge of excitement. Unfortunately, the Guardians had insisted he remain within the Origin Universe. While he had the power to ignore their counsel, their logic was sound.

Michael was blind to the threats lurking within the Unknown Domain, specifically the presence of Void Creatures. Should he encounter Void Creatures there, victory was not guaranteed. Despite being a Primal and the Supreme Lord, he was not a Guardian specifically forged to combat such entities.

While his speed and strength might allow him to retreat or perhaps imprison a few Void Creatures within the Void of the Expanse, the risk of his death was too great. If he fell, the Origin Expanse would shatter. The economic systems and the cultivation grounds of the entire cosmos would vanish, and the ultimate fate of the Expanse would be uncertain. The Expanse was fundamentally tied to him; though the Guardians were linked to it, their connection lacked his depth. They merely drew enough Expanse Essence to maintain their balance with Origin Essence.

The death of Michael would likely signal the total collapse of the Origin Universe as they knew it. The Guardians would revert to being Primals, leaving nothing to stand against the Void Creatures.

Consequently, Michael chose to heed the Guardians' warnings. He found the restriction irritating, but their arguments were simply too compelling. It was a frustrating necessity.

"Are your thoughts drifting back to the Unknown Domain?" Alice asked, her tone turning cold. Michael bit his lip, remaining silent for several heartbeats. Alice sighed, placing a comforting hand on his back. "I understand your restlessness, but you need to stay by my side if you want to be present when—..." Alice stopped herself mid-sentence, offering Michael a smile that left him looking utterly bewildered. "Oh, look. Are those not Mekhaz, Thaor, and Lokai? They have been performing exceptionally! They've begun colonizing a new world... when did that project start?" Alice asked, doing her best to avoid Michael's intense, questioning look. He could sense she was withholding something, but there was no malice in it. On the contrary, he could feel waves of joy and excitement radiating from her. He looked at his lover and gave a small nod.

"They’ve been buried under administrative work and training the youngsters for a while now," Michael remarked quietly. "I hadn't realized their thirst for a bloody conflict was this strong. They must have been desperate for a fight to volunteer for the conquest of a new planet. Then again... that is exactly the nature of Thaor and Lokai."

"Very true. Their passion for battle is excessive," Alice laughed softly. "I dread to think what they will do once they finally achieve godhood."

Michael felt a chill, picturing Thaor and Lokai hunting down other gods for years just to force them into a duel. It would be an absolute catastrophe.

"Fortunately, it will be quite some time before they can claim their initial combat Laws and Authorities," Michael noted, receiving a nod of agreement from Alice.

"That is certainly true."

Alice gazed at him, her smile widening. She clearly had something on her mind but hesitated, choosing to pivot to a different topic first.

"Have you had any contact with Maria Seraph recently?" she inquired.

"No. Why do you ask?" It had been decades since Michael last spoke with Maria. To be honest, it had been ages since she had even crossed his mind.

"No specific reason. I just wondered if you knew what she was doing," Alice pressed, but Michael merely shook his head.

"We can look in on her if it pleases you," Michael suggested, shrugging as he prepared to activate the liquid mirror. Alice reached out to stop him.

She paused, pacing nervously for a full minute before she finally found the resolve to speak her mind.

"Do you think I ought to reach out to Maria regarding my baby? During our last conversation, she expressed how deeply it hurt to be excluded when Lucia was born..."

"You want to visit—... your baby? Wait, what?!" Michael’s eyes widened in total shock as the weight of her words finally hit him.

"Are you pregnant again?" he stammered, and Alice gave a gentle nod.

As she caressed her stomach, Michael finally perceived what he had missed. Alice's own bond with him and the Weave had been masking a tiny, delicate thread that reached out toward the Expanse and the Weave.

The child developing within Alice was already intertwined with Essences. It was saturated with power.

A new Primal was taking shape inside her.

Michael took a deep breath, swallowing hard.

His journey was far from over. If anything, a new era of joy within the Origin Universe was only just beginning.
