My Celestial Ascension Chapter 1047: Back To The Orphanage

Frustration filled the Lane family’s home as their family doctor arrived with Marcus’s medical reports.
"Mr. Lane, please forgive my bluntness, but Young Master Marcus has contracted an STD—a sexually transmitted disease," the doctor announced with a serious expression.
Matthew and Marcus froze the moment they heard the news. Marcus, in particular, immediately panicked, looking as though his entire life had come crashing down around him.
Seeing the expressions on the father and son’s faces, the doctor let out a small chuckle.
"Please don’t be too alarmed, Mr. Lane, Young Master Marcus. There are many types of STDs, and some are easily treatable."
He continued, "Fortunately, Young Master Marcus has contracted a relatively mild infection. Since we detected it early, a course of injections should be enough to treat it."
"However, when I say it’s mild, that doesn’t mean it should be taken lightly. If left untreated, the infection could develop into something much more serious."
"Fortunately, I collected a few blood samples from Young Master Marcus, which helped us identify the problem early," the doctor explained.
Hearing this, the Lane family finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Thank God, Doctor! You nearly gave us a heart attack!" Marcus exclaimed, releasing a deep sigh. Sweat had gathered on his forehead from the sheer panic.
"Well, perhaps I made it sound a little more alarming than necessary. My apologies," the doctor replied with a chuckle.
Afterward, the doctor prepared Marcus’s first injection. The treatment would last a week, during which Marcus would need to undergo a blood test every day to monitor his recovery.
"Um, Doctor... Is there somewhere else you can give me the injection besides my butt?" Marcus asked nervously.
"I’m afraid not, Young Master. This particular injection needs to be administered there. And there’s no need to feel embarrassed about it. I’m a doctor, after all," the doctor replied with an amused smile.
However, Marcus felt utterly humiliated. Worse still, the situation brought back painful memories of that dreadful night.
"Argh!" Marcus gasped as the doctor administered the injection.
’Damn it! That hurts!’ he screamed inwardly, gritting his teeth.
Once the doctor had left, Matthew approached his son’s bed and sat down beside him.
"I’ve discovered something interesting about this Yuan fellow—the one responsible for your condition and humiliation," Matthew said in a low voice, his eyes gleaming with a dangerous chill.
Marcus’s expression immediately darkened. His fists clenched tightly as rage surged through every fiber of his being.
"What did you find out, Dad?" he asked, struggling to keep his anger under control.
"Not much, but enough to give us an idea of what kind of person he is," Matthew replied.
He then shared everything his private investigators had uncovered about Yuan.
Marcus was shocked to learn that Yuan was the same age as him.
But what astonished him even more was the discovery that Yuan had mysteriously disappeared two years ago, only to reappear afterward as an entirely different person.
"A lowly orphan disappears for two years and then suddenly returns as a completely different person... He’s not as simple as we thought," Marcus muttered.
Matthew nodded solemnly.
"That’s precisely why I’ve hired a top-level expert to deal with him. To be more specific, a powerful martial artist."
"A martial artist? You mean those people who perform tricks in videos?" Marcus asked, staring at his father in confusion.
Who would believe that martial artists could actually kill someone in this day and age? As far as Marcus was concerned, most of them were frauds who relied on tricks to deceive the public.
Nowadays, people regarded them as little more than stunt performers. They weren’t the kind of formidable fighters who could take a life with their bare hands or leap ten feet into the air as if gravity didn’t exist.
Marcus felt as though his father was joking with him. After all, everyone knew that no ordinary martial artist could crush a massive boulder with a single punch or leap ten feet into the air.
However, seeing the serious expression on his father’s face, Marcus realized that Matthew wasn’t joking at all.
His father was genuinely planning to hire a martial artist to deal with Yuan.
"Are you seriously considering hiring a fraud to beat that bastard?" Marcus asked, unable to believe that his father was willing to waste money on someone he considered a con artist.
"Do I look like I’m joking?" Matthew snorted coldly.
Taking a deep breath, he continued, "You’re still young and inexperienced. But that doesn’t mean you should assume that genuine martial artists don’t exist in this world."
"There are people out there who can walk on water and crush massive boulders with their bare hands. This world isn’t as simple as you think. Some powerful experts have lived for hundreds of years."
"Most martial arts families live in seclusion, far away from cities and the outside world. There are powerful families controlling things from the shadows, and people like us are nothing more than pawns in their eyes," Matthew revealed, his expression growing increasingly solemn as he looked at his son.
"If they wanted to, they could wipe our family out at any moment. That’s why you must always remain humble when dealing with unfamiliar people. Otherwise, sooner or later, you’ll face the consequences of your arrogance."
"I-I understand, Dad..." Marcus nodded, swallowing nervously as he tried to process this startling revelation.

Meanwhile, Yuan and his wives arrived at the orphanage where he had grown up in his previous life.
As he gazed at the familiar building, a wave of nostalgia washed over him. He could still vividly remember the countless memories he had made there as a child.
’This place looks exactly as it did when I left... And yet, so much has changed,’ Yuan thought, staring at the building with a distant look in his eyes and a nostalgic smile on his face.
"Is this where you grew up in your previous life?" Lily asked curiously as she looked at the building.
"Yes. This is where I spent my childhood. I never knew who my biological parents were. Sister Mary told me that someone had left me outside the orphanage when I was a baby," Yuan replied with a gentle smile.
"See that bench over there?" he asked, pointing toward a bench beneath a nearby tree.
"That’s where I used to play the flute for Lulu. I still remember those days. She would constantly pester me to play for her, and if I refused, she would burst into tears."
’It seems this Lulu girl was quite close to my darling,’ Anna Grace thought, feeling a faint pang of jealousy toward Yuan’s childhood sweetheart from his previous life.
"Let’s go inside and meet Sister Mary," Yuan said, taking Anna Grace’s hand as he led the group into the building.
However, the moment they entered, Yuan was surprised by the condition of the orphanage. Several walls were cracked, and part of the ceiling was damaged. The entire building looked as though it desperately needed repairs. Even more concerning was the small number of children living there.
"Big Brother, who are you looking for?" a young boy approached Yuan and asked with a cheerful smile.
"I’m looking for Sister Mary. Could you tell me where she is?" Yuan asked kindly.
"Sister Mary is in the back, teaching the children," the boy replied. "Follow me! I’ll take you all to her."
"Lead the way. By the way, my name is Yuan. I used to live here," Yuan said, introducing himself to the boy.
"I’m Lucky! So, you’re an orphan too, Big Brother Yuan?" Lucky asked innocently.
"I used to be, but not anymore," Yuan replied with a smile, briefly glancing at Anna Grace.
"Used to be? Does that mean someone adopted you?" Lucky asked, his eyes widening in surprise.
"You could say that... But it’s a little complicated," Yuan replied with an amused smile.
A few moments later, they arrived at the back of the building, where Sister Mary was teaching the young children how to read and write.
"There! That’s where Sister Mary teaches us every day," Lucky said, pointing toward the distance.
A middle-aged woman stood in front of a group of young children, teaching them patiently. She held a piece of chalk in one hand and pointed toward the blackboard with a stern expression on her face.
"She’s aged quite a bit compared to how I remember her... Well, it’s been almost five years since I last saw her," Yuan muttered, a nostalgic smile spreading across his face.
Lucky ran toward Sister Mary with a huge smile. However, the moment he reached her, she shot him a stern glare.
"Lucky! Where did you run off to in the middle of my lesson? Don’t you want to learn anything?" Sister Mary scolded him.
Instead of answering, Lucky ignored her question and pointed toward Yuan and his wives, who were standing in the distance.
"Sister Mary, some guests have come to see you! That big brother said he used to live here!" he announced excitedly.
Sister Mary followed the direction of his finger and spotted Yuan and his wives standing nearby, watching her.
She turned toward the children and announced, "That’s enough for today. Class is dismissed!"
After dismissing the children, she quickly walked toward Yuan and his wives, a puzzled expression on her face.
For some reason, Yuan’s appearance seemed strangely familiar to her. It was as though she had met him somewhere before, yet she couldn’t recall ever seeing him.
"Hello. How can I help you?" she asked with an awkward smile, studying Yuan’s face with evident confusion.
