After slaying Su Zhe, Jiang Fei had already anticipated that Su Rui wouldn’t depart with him. Still, he wasn’t concerned about it. Plus, Su Rui remaining there spared him plenty of hassle, since the man’s solid strength would have overburdened the inheritance space for Jiang Fei.
“If that’s the case, we won’t bother you anymore!” Jiang Fei said to Su Rui.
“Will you come back?” Su Rui asked.
“You don’t have to worry. I have no interest in this world. After I leave, I will never come back.” Jiang Fei knew what Su Rui was worried about.
“Big Brother!” Su Rui clutched Su Zhe’s body and wailed bitterly. Suddenly, he realized his brother’s death was utterly unjust. Had Su Zhe not wrongly assumed Jiang Fei coveted this planet, he wouldn’t have struck first to safeguard his authority. Consequently, he wouldn’t have fallen to Jiang Fei’s retaliation.
Watching Su Rui sob his heart out, Jiang Fei refrained from offering comfort. After all, he was responsible for Su Zhe’s death, leaving him without words to say.
“Let’s go!” Jiang Fei said to the two girls.
“Okay!” Nina and Ariel nodded. Then, with a wave of his hand from Jiang Fei, the trio vanished into thin air.
Upon reappearing, Jiang Fei and the others had returned to the previous valley. Jiang Fei then released the shuttle anew.
“0544, input the level 2 password!” Jiang Fei commanded.
“Yes, Captain!” 0544 complied, entering the level 2 password. Soon after, the shuttle powered up successfully.
“Alright, we’re heading home!” Jiang Fei told the two girls.
“Okay!” Nina and Ariel buzzed with excitement. They had believed homecoming was impossible forever, but now they could return and rejoin everyone.
“Are you ready?” Jiang Fei asked.
“Yes!” The two girls nodded. Jiang Fei then waved his hand, storing them in the inheritance space before boarding the shuttle himself.
Right away, the shuttle ascended, piercing the planet’s atmosphere. Once in outer space, it fired up the miniature black hole engine and sped toward its preset course.
As the shuttle neared the black hole’s range, the miniature black hole engine roared to full power. Shields maxed out, and the craft plunged through the black hole.
Even within the shuttle, Jiang Fei sensed a ferocious gravitational pull capable of warping his form. Luckily, the vessel was built for black hole traversal, so despite the immense gravity, his robust physique kept him intact.
Next, the hallucinatory light show assaulted Jiang Fei’s vision once more. Drawing on prior experience, he stayed calm and waited silently, aware the shuttle pressed on amid the light distortion that blinded him.
After what felt like an eternity, Jiang Fei’s sight cleared. He now sensed he was back in his familiar universe.
The shuttle’s star map confirmed Jiang Fei’s return to the Zevera star field. He held off releasing Nina and Ariel, piloting straight for Skoda Star instead.
Thanks to the black hole engine’s mighty thrust, Jiang Fei swiftly reached Skoda Star and touched down at the spaceport.
Stepping out of the shuttle, Jiang Fei’s first act was freeing Nina and Ariel. To cut time short, he’d put the pair through discomfort in the inheritance space.
“Ah! This is...”
“We’re going home?!”
The sight of the beloved surroundings filled Nina and Ariel with wild joy. Though they’d known return was imminent upon entering the inheritance space, truly being back on Skoda Star made the bliss feel surreal.
Jiang Fei’s heart ached seeing the girls’ thrilled yet disbelieving faces. He understood their ordeal in the black hole had been brutal.
Before long, every girl on Skoda Star hurried over. Spotting Nina and Ariel, they embraced in tears—Jiang Fei and the others shared an overwhelming yearning for the pair.
“Hubby, saving them this time must’ve been tough, right?” Bella pulled Jiang Fei aside and asked.
“What’s wrong?” Jiang Fei blinked in surprise. Though the black hole rescue took some time, he hadn’t faced major obstacles.
“But you’ve been gone for five whole years!” Bella’s words stunned Jiang Fei. In reality, he had lingered in the black hole for just a few months, spending most of his time awaiting the Exiles’ return.
“That’s not right. The people of Planet Namek in the black hole said they’ve only been there for over 10,000 years. They claimed the black hole’s timeline matches the outside universe!” Jiang Fei furrowed his brow.
“Then, besides saving people in the black hole, where else have you been?” Bella questioned.
“I didn’t stop... could it be...” A sudden thought struck Jiang Fei. He whirled around and rushed back to the shuttle.
“0544, check the shuttle’s flight duration when we exited the black hole!” Jiang Fei commanded.
“Yes, Captain!” 0544 obeyed Jiang Fei’s order at once, then reported, “Captain, Shuttle records indicate seven days to enter the black hole. It took four years and five months to exit...”
“Uh...” Jiang Fei finally comprehended. Upon entering the black hole, gravity pulled them in swiftly, letting them reach the planet in mere days. But escaping demanded fighting the black hole’s immense pull, dragging on for years.
“Alright, I got it!” Jiang Fei nodded. Once he grasped it all, he rejoined Bella and gave a quick explanation.
“Enough of that. Come with me now—a massive surprise awaits!” Bella beamed at Jiang Fei after hearing him out. The journey’s length no longer mattered; everyone was together again.
“What surprise?” Jiang Fei asked, full of curiosity.
“Follow me and find out!” Bella clutched Jiang Fei’s arm and teleported instantly.
Once Jiang Fei and Bella departed, the other girls snapped to action. They grabbed Nina and Ariel, teleporting straight to Jiang Fei’s parents’ home.
“Mom and Dad...” By then, Jiang Fei faced his parents.
“Hehe, you’re finally back!” His father chuckled upon seeing Jiang Fei.
“Quick! Quick! Let me introduce someone!” His mother stepped out from the room, waving toward it.
“Introduce someone?” Jiang Fei froze in surprise.
Next, Phoenix Spirit emerged from the room, cradling a plump, fair little boy.
“You... Phoenix Spirit? This is...” Jiang Fei gazed at Phoenix Spirit’s slim, recovered waist—obviously, the child had been born some time back. Though dragons grew slowly, his five-year absence meant sixty years in the world of the five directions!
“Say hello to Daddy,” Phoenix Spirit told the little boy.
“Daddy! We meet again!” The little boy showed no stranger’s hesitation toward Jiang Fei. He jumped straight into his arms, grinning widely.
“Again?” Jiang Fei was taken aback.
“You destroyed the channel and server linking to gamma space. Refusing to await doom idly, I gave up my powers and reincarnated. Now, let’s get acquainted anew, Daddy!” The little boy flashed a peculiar smile at Jiang Fei.
“You... Vinylon?!” Jiang Fei’s eyes popped wide.
