“Obtained the password you desired?” Su Zhe spun around to question.
“Achieved the victory you sought?” Jiang Fei countered.
“Indeed! With both of you securing your desires, won’t happiness reign for all?” Su Rui grinned and replied. Then, facing Jiang Fei, he continued, “When do you intend to depart? I’ll accompany you!”
“Naturally, I’ll arrange it promptly,” Jiang Fei smiled back.
“Then, hold on a moment. I’ll prepare right away!” Su Rui responded eagerly.
“No need!” Su Zhe abruptly gestured.
“Brother, wasn’t our deal set? You claim the God King throne, and I exit with him,” Su Rui questioned, face full of bewilderment.
“Not only you— he stays too!” Su Zhe declared, gesturing once more. Instantly, armed soldiers swarmed, encircling Jiang Fei and the two women.
“Brother, what’s your game?” Su Rui demanded, utterly puzzled. Hadn’t they agreed earlier? Why betray it now?
“Foolish brother, these outsiders traverse the black hole at will—who ensures he won’t summon an invading force upon return? How would we counter their advanced weaponry then?” Su Zhe challenged.
“Brother, we won’t come back after leaving!” Su Rui insisted.
“Hmph! Even if you don’t, can you swear he’ll ignore this world?” Su Zhe scoffed at Su Rui. Never having ventured beyond his planet, Su Zhe viewed it as a treasure trove that would tempt any beholder.
Yet, confined to his world, Su Zhe remained oblivious to the vast splendor of the cosmos beyond. He knew not of the countless habitable planets in the main universe. Jiang Fei, ruler of a galactic empire, dismissed this tiny domain entirely.
Right then, Su Zhe resembled a beggar fretting over the emperor coveting his humble shelter. He instantly branded Jiang Fei a rival.
Thus, to safeguard his seat of power, Su Zhe resorted to his prior tactic. Seizing the moment with Jiang Fei isolated, he aimed to eliminate him outright! Just as he’d slain the exiles before—crushing threats in their infancy.
But Su Zhe failed to foresee his fortune’s end. Slaughtering the grown exiles had been sheer luck. Jiang Fei differed vastly—not only wary of Su Zhe, but his power defied Su Zhe’s wildest notions.
“Eliminate him!” Su Zhe commanded without pause. His soldiers leveled cannons at Jiang Fei and the pair, then fired.
“Heh...” Jiang Fei sneered coldly. He never imagined the very forces he’d forged would turn their weapons on him.
“Whoosh!” Jiang Fei flicked his hand, vanishing alongside the two women. They rematerialized behind Su Zhe.
“What?!” Su Zhe whirled about. As God King, his prowess shone—even among five directions’ elites, he ranked supreme.
Yet, no elite matched Jiang Fei, the Dragon Race’s Sage Lord. Against him, Divine King Su Zhe paled utterly.
As he pivoted, Su Zhe launched a punch at Jiang Fei’s face. Jiang Fei ignored it entirely, snatching Su Zhe’s fist with his left hand. Yanking hard, a sharp crack echoed.
“Crack!” While snapping Su Zhe’s wrist, Jiang Fei’s right hand clamped atop Su Zhe’s skull.
“Argh!” Su Zhe howled in agony. Wrist pain stung, but terror dominated his scream.
Su Zhe’s dread proved fleeting. Jiang Fei’s palm unleashed origin power upon gripping his head.
“Bang!” Su Zhe’s skull burst like a burst melon, scattering fragments.
Su Zhe crumpled lifeless. Lacking immortal soul cultivation like Planet Namek’s folk, his might crumbled under Jiang Fei’s single strike!
“Huh?! Brother!” Su Rui stood stunned. Events unfolded in an instant. He’d fretted for Jiang Fei, intent on halting the assault. Yet suddenly, Jiang Fei and his companions stood unscathed, while Su Zhe lay brainsplattered.
Su Rui dashed over to Su Zhe’s side and lifted his brother’s lifeless body. In that instant, even though the Protoss soldiers targeted Jiang Fei and the other two with their weapons again, none dared to launch an assault.
The soldiers weren’t disobeying commands. They had attempted attacks earlier, but what was the result? Their king lay dead. Launching an attack now might get their new king killed as well!
Thus, while the soldiers encircled Jiang Fei and the others, nobody had the courage to fire.
“Su Rui, what are your plans now? Do you still want to leave with me?” Jiang Fei questioned calmly, as though Su Zhe’s death were an everyday occurrence.
To Jiang Fei, Su Zhe’s demise truly held no significance. With the level 2 password in hand, he could depart whenever he wished. Even if the entire Protoss turned into his foes, he could teleport away with the girls to deep mountains and forests, then deploy the shuttle and escape.
Hence, if Su Rui dared to strike at Jiang Fei right now, it would amount to nothing but suicide. He offered no further value to Jiang Fei, who had zero concerns left. Provoking him again—could Jiang Fei possibly endure it?
Su Rui cradled his brother’s body, the one who had courted his own doom, in his arms. Tears poured down like a torrent. Clutching his brother’s corpse, he wept bitterly. Only after half an hour did he manage to steady himself somewhat.
Jiang Fei remained patient at the side, in no rush to depart. After all, he had vowed to take Su Rui away. Though an unexpected twist had occurred, if Su Rui still wished to go, Jiang Fei would keep his promise.
“Forget it, you guys can go...” Su Rui waved his hand listlessly, his face expressionless. He yearned to avenge his elder brother. Yet, he understood that even uniting with every Protoss soldier, they couldn’t slay Jiang Fei. Instead, if he escaped, endless vengeance would rain upon the Protoss. Over time, Jiang Fei might single-handedly exterminate them bit by bit!
To safeguard the race’s survival, despite his elder brother’s death at Jiang Fei’s hands, Su Rui couldn’t entertain revenge. But with his brother gone, the leaderless Protoss race made it impossible for Su Rui to depart the black hole alongside Jiang Fei.
