Su Zhe betrayed the Exiles' peace envoy by ordering his execution along with the delegation, sparking an immediate assault that downed their transport plane. Protoss ground forces, fighters, and mechs bombarded the vulnerable starship, which offered no retaliation and crashed beyond the city walls. The army surrounded the wreckage, puzzled by the enemy's passivity, as they sought a way inside.

“That’s easy!” Jiang Fei grinned. Bypassing the search for the starship’s main hatch, he picked a random porthole and swung his chengying sword down with force.

“Boom!” Bursts of flames erupted as the starship porthole got sliced wide open—spacious enough for two to pass through side by side.

“Alright, let’s head inside and search!” Jiang Fei said with a smile.

“Hehe, honestly, why didn’t we come up with that?” Su Rui scratched his head sheepishly. The sight of the starship had intimidated him with its high-tech vibe, prompting him to seek Jiang Fei’s aid at once. Yet, he overlooked that the vessel had already plummeted and crashed; brute force would suffice to breach it.

In short order, throngs of Protoss soldiers stormed the starship, gripping their weapons tightly. The ship’s colossal scale meant even thousands pouring in barely stirred much activity.

“Dispatch more soldiers!” Jiang Fei grew impatient with the wait.

“Got it!” Su Zhe nodded, then ordered additional troops into the starship. Though untrained and without tech armaments, these soldiers were ample for the search operation.

Floods of Protoss soldiers poured into the starship, scouring it methodically like a blanket coverage. Sealed doors blocked standard entry, but Jiang Fei’s example showed brute force worked fine. The crash had wrecked the core power system, nullifying defenses and isolation shields.

Ordinary Protoss soldiers wielded combat power from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands, and energy cannon blasts made short work of shielded doors when they teamed up.

Merely four hours passed before a soldier hurried back with news.

“Your Majesty! A huge find in one of the cabins!” the soldier reported to Su Zhe.

“Let’s go see it!” Su Zhe nodded, guiding Su Rui, Jiang Fei, and the others aboard.

Quickly, the soldier escorted Jiang Fei and the group to an immense hall, vast as a football field. Rows upon rows of cabinets filled it, glass compartments crammed with egg after egg!

“These are… eggs from Planet Meake?” Jiang Fei identified them at a glance.

“How can there be so many…” Su Zhe and Su Rui gaped in shock. At least a million eggs lay there. Planet Meake’s feeble reproduction made this stash represent virtually all the exiles.

“Could it be…” A flash of insight struck Jiang Fei; he bolted from the hall.

“0544, seize the starship’s controls. Pinpoint the bridge for me!” Jiang Fei commanded 0544 while dashing ahead on instinct.

“Yes, Captain!” 0544 acted fast. The starship’s central system lacked anti-AI measures, so takeover was effortless, complete with downloading the layout blueprints.

With 0544’s directions, Jiang Fei sped to the bridge. Su Rui and Su Zhe caught up soon after, trailed by Nina and Ariel.

“Just as I thought…” Jiang Fei found the bridge deserted upon arrival—only a Planet Namek child sprawled in blood, perished in the crash.

“0544, pull up the ship’s log!” Jiang Fei commanded.

“Yes, Captain!” 0544 projected the log without delay.

Jiang Fei skimmed the records swiftly, as did Su Zhe, Su Rui, and those behind. The log revealed that only six exiles remained en route to the 10,000-year accord; five adults shuttled off to bargain with Su Zhe.

Confident in their technological edge, the exiles planned to coerce Su Zhe into yielding, then extract a rare element vital for Nemesis hatching.

Their artificial planet offered scant catalysts, so when initial exiles died and expelled eggs, survivors noted most failed to hatch from the shortage.

They’d mulled ditching the 10,000-year pact to return home early, but the starship was sealed—unlockable only after ten millennia, undoubtedly the God clan’s scheme.

Over the span of these ten thousand years, the exiles had frantically depleted the scarce rare elements available on that planet. Yet, the hatchings they managed to sustain kept dwindling. In this era, their last remaining catalyst was... the child who had hatched an egg, the very one who perished in the starship's crash.

At the outset, they believed that securing ample catalyst would let them incubate the eggs preserved in the starship, enabling the exiles to regain their former power. But these foolish exiles never foresaw... that Su Zhe would dispatch someone to strike them from behind.

The unexpected assault utterly stunned the five exiles. They still clung to the ancient creed from 10,000 years past. They assumed that even without reaching a deal, their foes would spare them; besides, everyone desperately longed to tread their homeland's soil once more. In the end, all five adult exiles ascended to the surface, and not a single one returned alive.

With the five adult exiles slain, the starship spiraled into total chaos. The child, beholding the elders' demise, froze in sheer terror. He had no clue what to do next and lacked the skill to pilot the starship to safety.

Ultimately, the starship plummeted. The little boy perished in the catastrophe. Every Exile met their end, save for the lone egg remaining in the cabin.

“I see...” Su Zhe nodded, inwardly relieved at his swift resolve. Had he permitted these exiles to reboard the starship, they could have directed the drones to unleash a ferocious barrage on the Protoss. At that point... the Protoss would stand no chance against these technologically adept exiles. Despite their small numbers, their automated weaponry alone could overwhelm the Protoss.

“Sigh! I never imagined an epic war of such scale would devolve into a total farce...” Jiang Fei sighed. Then, he asked 0544, “Have you uncovered the details on the level 2 password?”

“Yes, Captain!” 0544’s response filled Jiang Fei with joy. He understood that the level 2 password signified his path home.

“Alright, our mission is done!” Jiang Fei nodded and beckoned Nina and Ariel to his side.
