"Are you certain that moving forward with this is wise? Edward is now in a state of desperation, and such a man becomes exceedingly dangerous. We ought to seize this opportunity to escape."
Tai scoffed upon hearing his brother-in-law's words. "You know, when Song proposed enlisting your assistance, I was hesitant. Now, I recall the very reason for that reluctance. You are a feeble man, Jinn, and it is truly astonishing how you have managed to survive all these years within the mafia."
Jinn Yang's eyes widened in disbelief as he witnessed Tai retrieve a firearm from his desk and menacingly point it directly at him.
"You have become a significant liability, Mr. Yang, and you will be of no use to me once I assume control."
"So, you still believe..."
But before Jinn could finish his sentence, Tai pulled the trigger, unleashing a fatal shot that silenced Jinn Yang permanently.
"Yes, I do."
He stepped over Jinn's lifeless, sprawled form on the floor, making his way out of the opulent office.
"Secure the girl and rendezvous with me on the rooftop."
Song, who had been hurrying to find her husband so they could make their escape, suddenly halted her movement.
"Let's just abandon her, Tai, and flee. This conflict is no longer ours to fight. Your men have already suffered significant losses. I have already managed to send the other girls away."
Tai turned his gaze towards his wife, tilting his head slightly to the side. "I just executed your brother for suggesting the very same thing to me," he stated, raising the gun towards her. "Do you wish to suffer the same ignominious fate?"
Song's eyes widened with utter shock. She swiftly turned on her heel and fled towards the room where Amy had been confined.
Indeed, not even the bonds of blood could extinguish the insatiable thirst for power.

"Sir!" Viktor's voice boomed as he addressed Edward. "Tai Pin's office is located on the fifth floor."
Edward acknowledged the information with a decisive nod. He then promptly fired upon the two individuals advancing towards them before making a swift dash into the elevator, with Viktor close on his heels. Edward decisively pressed the button corresponding to the fifth floor.
Upon their arrival, Edward seamlessly transitioned into stealth mode. The corridor was eerily silent, and he was determined not to alert Tai of their clandestine approach. They proceeded stealthily towards the partially open door at the far end of the hall, only to be confronted by the grim sight of Jinn's deceased body.
Edward froze in his tracks, his gaze fixed on the corpse as he meticulously assessed the situation. This grim outcome had been precisely what he had anticipated. "Tai Pin is not present here."
Viktor ceased his perfunctory search of the room and turned to face his superior.
"We shall split up to locate him. You descend to the underground tunnels, and I shall proceed upwards."
The guard offered a solemn nod and departed the room. He had yet to receive any Pinformation from the men he had dispatched to find Amy, a fact that was causing him considerable unease. He opted for the stairs, ascending floor after floor, meticulously searching for the formidable adversary who had plagued him for so many years.
Tai's formidable army of ruthlessly bloodthirsty men emerged from every conceivable corner in overwhelming numbers, yet Edward valiantly eliminated each and every one of them. There was no sign of Tai himself on any of the preceding floors until Edward finally reached the rooftop. It was there, amidst the whirlwind of chaos, that he discovered Tai frantically attempting to reach a waiting helicopter, with a bound and struggling Amy desperately beside him.
Edward fired a shot into the air, effectively halting their escape. Tai reacted instantly, grabbing Amy and swinging her around until she was positioned between himself and Edward, his weapon now menacingly pointed at her head.
At that precise moment, Song unexpectedly ran up towards them, and Edward quickly seized her, placing her in an identical predicament as Amy, with Tai holding her hostage.
"Edward, my dear boy," Song whispered, her voice trembling as she forced a strained smile. "
"I am no longer your 'boy,' you treacherous sycophant."
Song visibly gulped, her composure shattering.
"Release Amy, and I shall refrain from resorting to shooting your wife."
"Oh, that is perfectly fine; I shall gladly shoot her myself."
"Wha..."
The bullet tore through Song's heart before she could utter another sound. Much like her brother had done earlier, Song Pin collapsed onto the ground in a crumpled heap of white fabric, the crimson blood spreading rapidly from the fatal wound in her chest.
Edward staggered backward, utterly stunned by Tai Pin's utterly outrageous and callous behavior. He looked up at the man, his eyes wide with disbelief and shock.
"Now, I shall present you with my terms," Tai declared coolly. "You either relinquish your position within the mafia, or you bid farewell to your beloved baby and her mother."
"All of this solely for a position at the head of a table that will never, ever accept you?"
"Will never accept me? You seem to forget that I was once a member of that very table."
"Yes, and you chose to abandon it."
Tai Pin let out a hearty laugh. "No, that is precisely where you are mistaken. I never left. I have been meticulously orchestrating this takeover for a considerable duration. When I arranged for the demise of your parents, I had assumed the ensuing takeover would be a simple endeavor, but then, someone had to foolishly step up and fill his father's shoes."
Edward gasped, the realization dawning upon him with chilling clarity. So, that devastating car accident had not been an accident at all. He should have known all along.
"My father was your closest companion. How could you commit such a heinous act? He protected your family!"
"Oh, please spare me the dramatics. There are no true friends within the mafia, did no one ever enlighten you on that fundamental truth?"
Edward shook his head, unable to comprehend the depth of this betrayal. The initial shock began to morph into an uncontrollable surge of anger, and he instinctively began to inch forward towards Tai Pin.
"Exercise caution now," Tai warned him, subtly pressing the gun even closer to Amy's temple to emphasize his threat.
However, Edward was now consumed by a blinding rage. Tai Pin had truly pushed him past his breaking point.
"You stole my parents from me. There is absolutely no way I will permit you to take my wife and child, Tai Pin."
With nary a moment's hesitation, Edward flung the blade he'd stealthily retrieved from his trousers while Tai Pin was engrossed in his own monologue. The projectile found its mark perfectly, striking the man's forehead, causing him to crumple to the ground. The firearm slipped from his grasp, and Edward dashed towards Amy, pulling her into a fierce embrace, holding her tightly.
"I am so incredibly sorry, Amy. I deeply regret that you had to endure all of this," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion.
Amy gently shook her head, a soft "Shh, shh, it's alright, Edward. Everything is okay," she soothed.
Just then, Viktor arrived, his eyes quickly surveying the aftermath. A warm smile touched his lips as he observed Edward and Amy, locked in each other's arms. "It's wonderful to have you back with us, ma'am," he greeted.
Amy nodded, returning his smile with one of her own.
"I will never let you out of my sight again, understand? Not ever," Edward vowed, his gaze intense.
"For now, I'll save my arguments about your overprotectiveness for later," Amy teased lightly.
Edward simply shook his head, a fond smile playing on his lips. She remained the same indomitable Amy he knew.
"So, my wife, is it?" she inquired, having clearly registered his earlier declaration of her being his wife.
Edward tenderly lifted her chin, ensuring she could clearly see the sheer adoration blazing in his eyes. "Marry me, Red," he implored.
Amy let out a soft chuckle, the chaos surrounding them forgotten for a moment. "After all of this?" she exclaimed, her voice filled with emotion. "A thousand times, yes!"
And so it was, amidst the fallen bodies and scattered bodyguards, that they sealed their reunion with a passionate kiss.
