Edward has a conversation with Su about her sisters, learning that Mai is married with three children and Chapa is a prude. Su invites Edward on a hiking trip with her sisters, which he accepts, suspecting a trap. Viktor sends clothes and tracking chips for Edward to place on the sisters. Edward meets Su, Mai, and Chapa, and they set off for the hike, with Edward placing a chip on Chapa. During the hike, Mai confronts Edward about his arrogance.

"Oh my goodness would you two just quit it already," Chapa yelled. "God!"

Su Ya laughed, "Don't know why you're yelling Chaps, but I am quite liking this."

Chapa rolled her eyes.

Edward looked at Mai, "Let's call a temporary truce?" He extended his hand for a handshake.

Mai glanced at his offered hand, her frown deepening. She turned away and with a huff, walked off.

"Is this how she planned on winning the bet? By approaching me and starting an argument?"

Su laughed, "Maybe, except I lied. There was no bet," she produced a gun and pointed it at Edward's head, "I was supposed to be the first one to talk to you."

Mai and Chapa also drew their weapons, flanking him as they surrounded him.

Edward closed his eyes, letting out a curse. He hadn't anticipated this move at all.

"Told you girls I was the best bet. He fell for my trap like a hungry animal."

The three of them shared a laugh that made Edward cringe.

"Tie him up Chapa."

Chapa returned her gun to the holster in front and moved behind Edward. But that wasn't even their first mistake.

He threw his head back, striking her forehead squarely. Before the other two could react, he snatched the gun from Chapa's belt and fired at them.

Just as he predicted, they both dodged and scrambled for cover, returning fire.

"Three children huh?" Edward quipped from his hiding spot behind a tree. "You run surprisingly fast for a mother of three, Mai."

From their shared cover, Su and Mai exchanged a look, the older sister hissing at her junior.

"You told him I have three kids?"

Su shrugged, "I wanted him to expect mothers, not trained assassins."

"God, you're a fool sometimes."

By this point, Edward had already signaled for backup. He unleashed two more shots before making a dash for the Jeep.

"He's heading for the vehicle," Chapa shouted, and the three women gave chase.

As Edward sprinted, he fired shots behind him to disrupt their pursuit. He veered off the path they had used to arrive, aiming to lose them.

His men had followed them to the trail but continued onward once they realized other individuals were also tailing the jeep.

A separate sedan, carrying Tai and Jinn's subordinates, had shadowed them to the trail. After the initial shots were fired, they all leaped from the car in pursuit of Edward. He was now caught in a crossfire.

"You're not supposed to kill him, you idiots," he heard Mai hiss at them, a remark that spurred Edward to run even faster.

His focus fixed on the path ahead, Edward failed to notice an approaching figure until they were both tumbling across the grass.

Edward attempted to fire, but the weapon was dislodged from his grasp. Enraged by the assault, he seized the man by the neck and, after a fierce struggle, managed to break it.

Edward got to his feet and searched the man for any weapons.

He discovered an SMG, just in time to open fire on the other pursuers who had caught up. The struggle had cost him precious time.

"Fuck!" he heard one of them exclaim as Edward struck his knee.

Edward spun around and continued his flight. The end of the trail was in sight, and he glimpsed one or two figures running towards him from that direction—his men. They were engaging those in pursuit behind him.

Upon reaching them, the three men quickly boarded the parked vehicle.

"Go!" Viktor commanded the driver before removing his mask. He turned to Edward, "Are you alright, sir?"

"I'm fine," Edward growled. "We were mistaken about the nature of the attack."

Viktor nodded. "We deduced that. On our way here, I had our IT specialist run a check on the hotel reservations. No other mafia boss, besides you and Jinn Yang, has checked into the hotel."

Edward looked at Viktor.

"The party was a diversion, a method to lure you here."

"Fuck!"

"I managed to place a tracker on the youngest daughter. I'm hoping she will lead us directly to Tai and Jinn's location."

Viktor nodded. "I'll instruct the techie to provide us with the tracker's coordinates. In the meantime, we need to request backup."

"Then fucking call for backup!"

Edward was furious. He had misjudged Tai Pin's strategy and had underestimated his daughters.

When Su had invited him on the hiking excursion, suspicion had gnawed at him. He had anticipated some sort of confrontation but had never imagined the girls would be directly involved.

They were all complicit in the scheme, a fact he should have realized. However, Su's fabricated story had made him doubt their part in it. She always possessed a knack for deceiving others.

Viktor first contacted Taj, their tech expert, who supplied the tracker's location, before calling their other associates.

"Meet us at the Imperial Tower."

Edward was equipped with firearms and Kevlar. He also concealed a knife in his trousers, anticipating its usefulness later.

Positioned mere meters from the Imperial Tower, where Tai Pin, Jinn Yang, and Amy were currently situated, their vehicle waited.

"My girlfriend is inside those walls," Edward stated to his assembled men. "I require four of you to prioritize locating her and ensuring her safe passage to the airport." The pilot, Han, had already been alerted and was en route with the jet.

"We previously underestimated the opposition, and that mistake will not be repeated. They are anticipating our arrival, so we will enter with gunfire. Eliminate any obstacle that impedes our progress."

With that, Edward pivoted and advanced towards the entrance. A contingent of over fifty men trailed behind him, and as they neared the building's gates, a barrage of bullets erupted.

Edward seized one of his men, instructing him to take three others and focus solely on finding Amy.

"I will go find Tai Pin."

"Edward has arrived."

Approaching his seventies, with hair showing a significant amount of grey, Tai Pin presented as a stout man of conventional height. He turned from his vantage point at the window, observing the chaotic gunfire unfolding on his property.

"Indeed, I can see that," he responded to Jinn Yang. "Bring Amy to me. She represents our strategic advantage against him."
