Fisher uses a new Blessing to remain hidden, much to Emhardt's unease. They discuss the upcoming funeral for Fisher's teacher, Mr. Helsen, and travel to Chittel City. Fisher makes a detour to Lady Martha's house, where he finds her resting. He quietly tends to her neglected garden before heading to the station.

The location of Chittel City is actually very far from Saint Nali, to the east of Saint Nali, only about a hundred miles from Schwali and Nali borders, and it is the place where Helson grew up in his childhood and worked in his youth.

Back in the day when Fisher was studying alongside Helson, Helson had expressed more than once that when he got too old to work and planned to retire, he wanted to return to Chittel City to spend his old age. A few years ago, he finally fulfilled his wish and returned here to retire.

Unfortunately, by the time Fisher returned, Helson had already passed away, leaving his most beloved hometown.

As Fisher got closer to Chittel City on the train, his mood became heavier. Many Nali people were traveling to Chittel City, so even nearing the final destination, the train was still crowded, clearly full of people going to attend Helson’s funeral.

Within Chittel City, this originally ordinary village had, due to Helson, been planned as a development area by Nali for decades. They even set up a branch of the Magic Association here, bearing in mind that according to the rules of the Nali Magic Society, only seven cities in Nali are qualified to establish branches. This was the exceptional eighth.

This respect towards Helson was also reflected in the city’s construction. Upon entering the station, a highly noticeable sign in Nali caught Fisher’s attention:

"Deeply mourning the great mage, Mr. Helson Laczette."

The station was piled with flowers, along with Helson’s portrait and altar — clearly spontaneous acts by the Nali people.

Fisher, shrouded in hidden blessing, experienced all this from an observer’s perspective, feeling it all. Honestly, he truly needed to thank the demi-human girl control for leaving him this blessing, which allowed him to disregard Elizabeth’s traps and focus on attending Mr. Helson’s funeral.

"Is the funeral tomorrow? Shouldn’t we find a place to rest, like a hotel or something?"

"As you can see, this place is full of outsiders. Even the wilderness before entering the station has people pitching tents — it’s clear the hotels in the city are mostly full."

"Hmm, but doesn’t that matter? With our current state, presumably, you could walk into some room unnoticed."

"...I’m Fisher, blessed, not blessed pervert, I have no intention of sneaking into someone else’s room."

"...But, how are you different from a pervert... hmm hmm hmm!"

"Shut up."

Fisher got off the train amidst the crowd and lightly bullied Emhardt again as he walked out of the station.

So, was Emhardt’s method feasible? Actually, it was.

Throughout the journey, he was conducting experiments. He found that the hidden blessing wasn’t simply akin to "invisibility" but was more accurately described as "unable to be detected," and this state could be extended to objects.

For example, he stealthily took the hat off a gentleman’s head on the train, and the gentleman didn’t realize his hat was missing until much later. Astonishingly, even while Fisher stood right before him holding the hat, the gentleman couldn’t detect Fisher or the hat. This explained why when Emhardt hid in his embrace, his speech went unnoticed by others.

Even though he was conscious, because he also belonged to the "holy object" category to some extent, he retained this feature, but it required proximity to Fisher, definitely not on his shoulders.

Leaving the station, Fisher planned to head directly to Helson’s residence in the outskirts. He had two purposes in returning to Chittel City: attending Helson’s funeral and preventing Elizabeth from disrupting the normal order due to his affairs; the second was to confirm the clue regarding the "treasure" mentioned by Helair...

Helson’s residence was very conspicuous because the Chittel City Hall guided visitors’ directions, and soon Fisher hitchhiked silently to the suburbs, arriving at the venue for Helson’s funeral organized by the Golden Palace.

It was originally a church in the outskirts of Chittel City, now surrounded layer upon layer by the constructions of the Golden Palace.

Although the official funeral would be tomorrow, the decorations and constructions were completed, divided into inner and outer areas. The inner area was inside and outside the church, accessible only to those invited; the outer area provided space for the public’s mourning, where conspicuous surveillance eyes lurked in shadows.

"The scale is quite grand indeed, and the remains of your teacher haven’t been brought here yet at this time? Why so many patrolling guards?"

"Why else could it be..."

"Oh, I naturally know it’s because of you. I mean, didn’t Elizabeth receive your mail? She should be... hmm, more amicable, no need for such tension."

Emhardt adjusted his wording. Though Fisher had preemptively prepared him, when seeing such stringent security at the venue, he couldn’t help but feel regret. After all, the church also held records of her monthly visits to pray for Teresa at Fisher’s behest. Even Emhardt, who enjoyed watching the fun, might wish they could talk things through rather than facing off as though hunting prey.
