Demi-human Girls Completion Manual Chapter 1649 - 114: Blessing (Part 3)
Previously on Demi-human Girls Completion Manual...
This is truly interesting.
But Emhardt didn’t think so. Hidden in Fisher’s embrace, he was even a little nervously swallowing a mouthful of saliva. After everything that happened along the way, he even began to suspect, making Fisher a bit apprehensive,
"Fi... Fisher, you wouldn’t have... died in that so-called underground tomb, right? And now what comes out is actually your ghost, because you’re too seductive, that’s why you hold this kind of resentment, wandering in the streets, and later, you’ll harass a lady... wait, don’t tell me I’ve become a ghost too, no way, I need to fly out to confirm if others can see me..."
"Are you stupid? I just got a bit of help there, you see, no one has noticed me along the way, which helps with my upcoming journey to Nali... whether it’s looking for the manual or on Elizabeth’s side. You don’t have such help, staying hidden in my embrace is the only way to stay concealed, got it?"
Fisher sighed and pressed Emhardt, who was about to rush out, back into his embrace. This kind of Blessing couldn’t be shared, previously, Emhardt kept bumping his head in the church, he guessed it was the sound of his flying impacts that drew the patrolling Church Officials.
"My God, I feel like we’re like rats in the gutter... but yes, by the time you enter your teacher’s funeral, you don’t have to worry about your and Elizabeth’s epic battle turning the funeral into chaos."
"...Let’s hope so."
According to Fisher’s previous speculation, apart from God, the closer someone is to him, the easier it is to spot him, then Elizabeth might notice him any minute.
But Emhardt was right, at least at Mr. Helsen’s funeral, he didn’t want any chaos, it was the last time before the teacher departed...
"So, are we heading to your teacher’s hometown now? That place... Chittel City."
"Yes, we will set off soon."
"But this doesn’t seem like the direction to the station..."
"Indeed, it isn’t."
Fisher walked along the streets with Emhardt, until they reached a familiar area of low houses, it seemed not much had changed, except for the Cardinals flying in the sky and the newly constructed street lamps and other basic facilities...
He quickly stopped in front of a three-story small house, then quietly looked at the nameplate outside the fence,
"Lady Martha"
He didn’t go in, because at this moment, even though he was wrapped in Hidden concealment and couldn’t use Transcendent powers, he still sharply sensed some indistinct glances watching from the streets all around, as if waiting for someone to push the door open and go in to see the old lady inside.
If it were Lady Martha, she would definitely be able to see him too.
But at this moment, it was afternoon, as usual, she should be taking a nap.
He gently leaped over the low fence, stood in the small yard of the house, and looked inside through the glass windows at the layout he was so familiar with, soon he saw Lady Martha lying resting on a rocking chair. He looked for a long time, then strolled to the other end of the yard, where she used to plant cabbages.
But now it was all weeds in the soil, only a few sparse roots not harvested were left amongst them.
Fisher was silent for a moment, walked to the side of that small field, picked up a scythe that had been lying there for who knows how long, then took off his coat, bent down and began to cut the weeds growing there. The field was small, and he moved quickly, so soon, all weeds within the edge were cut down, and thrown aside neatly.
Afterward, he gently threw the scythe handle heated by his palm to the side, took several deep breaths, and picked up his coat that had fallen to the ground.
As he left, he looked again at the house inside, on the rocking chair, the almost elderly Martha still drowsy, enjoying her leisurely afternoon.
And Fisher, watching all this, merely smiled slightly, then once again put on his coat, climbed over the fence, and hurried towards the station.
