Wizard: Unlimited Profession Slots Chapter 1345 - 532: Shifting Mechanisms 3_3

The second card represents Cassandra’s essence and needs.
The third card represents his own positioning and opportunities.
The first card is flipped: [Net] (Upright)
The card depicts a massive rune network covering the entire planet.
Countless lines intertwine into complex geometric patterns, with each intersection glowing in different colors.
A huge crystal ball floats at the center of the network, reflecting an inverted image of the cosmos.
The symbolism of this card is exceptionally clear: Vinard is a system builder.
He focuses on creating a grand system that is perfect, self-consistent, and all-encompassing.
Whether it’s the colony design on Green Ring No.2 or the development plan for Stoker Star, they all reflect his persistent pursuit of the "perfect system."
But at the same time, this card also reveals Vinard’s fundamental need:
"What he needs is not a simple executor, but a special existence that can inject soul into this ’net,’ fill in the gaps, and make it perfect."
Ron analyzes the card’s information in his mind:
"Vinard’s ’net,’ though intricate, lacks true life energy.
He can design perfect mechanical structures but cannot create a civilization of flesh and blood.
This is why he values my ’Resonance Technique’ so much."
The second card is flipped: [Longsword] (Reversed)
The card depicts a magnificent longsword, with the blade embedded with countless gems, emitting dazzling light.
But this sword is deeply stuck in a black swamp, with the tip pointing downward, unable to be pulled out.
The surface of the swamp is crowded with numerous eyes, each gazing at the sword.
The reversed [Longsword] symbolizes blocked power, failed strategies, and the loss of original advantages.
"Cassandra’s ’Sword of Conquest’ was frustrated by the collective consciousness of the Vital Civilization."
Ron thoughtfully interprets the card:
"Her direct means are at an impasse; the previously invincible military conquests and forced controls appear clumsy and inefficient in the face of true collective wisdom."
The [Longsword] card reveals Cassandra’s current urgent needs:
"She needs a ’new weapon,’ something more covert, more efficient, that can undermine the enemy from within."
"That’s why she was so interested in the ’peaceful evolution’ strategy I proposed immediately.
Not because she suddenly became benevolent, simply because she realizes that sheer violence can no longer solve the problem."
The third card is flipped: [Bridge] (Upright)
A magnificent bridge spans between two distinctly different worlds.
The bridge itself is not made of ordinary stone or metal, but woven from countless glowing knowledge runes and strands of truth.
The world on the left is filled with mechanical structures, operating with clock-like precision;
The world on the right burns with the flames of war, where swords and magic collide fiercely.
The upright [Bridge] represents connection, communication, balance, and harmony.
"My positioning is not about taking sides, but about ’connecting.’" Ron feels a strong resonance within:
"I need to become the hub both sides must pass through, a necessary condition for achieving their respective goals."
The essence of the bridge is not to choose a side but to require both sides to reach their destination through it.
Vinard’s "net" needs a soul, and the skill to infuse that soul is mastered by Ron;
Cassandra’s "sword" needs a new edge, and the method of forging that edge is also known only to Ron.
"As long as I can become the only way for them to realize their respective strategies, I can hold the initiative in this game."
Ron rearranges the three cards, gazing at the complete picture they form.
[Net] needs [Bridge] to connect different nodes, granting the system genuine life energy;
[Longsword] needs [Bridge] to be re-forged, gaining the ability to break new defenses;
And [Bridge] must bear both forces to find its value in balance.
"I’ve come to a full understanding..."
He slowly collects the divination cards: "The meaning of [Bridge] is to become the key figure they both cannot bypass."
......
In a "gap" dimension infinitely distant from, yet close to, Green Ring No.2.
Three twisted figures are gathered in a void composed of broken time flows.
There is no fixed concept of space here; up, down, left, and right are constantly changing.
Fragments of past and future fall like meteor showers, each reflecting the light and shadow of different eras.
And in the center of this chaotic temporal turbulence, three elite hounds with varied forms are conducting a tactical discussion before hunting an important target.
The leader, "Carlos," has the most stable form among the trio.
It possesses a basic outline resembling a wolfhound, but its body is made of semi-transparent time crystals.
Four eyes flicker with cold blue lights, like a precise computer.
Whenever it thinks, the time fragments within its body rearrange to form complex deduction patterns.
"The world where the target resides is enveloped by a powerful energy field."
Carlos’s voice is as precise and cold as clock gears turning:
"I’ve sensed a wizard stronger than us, and three or more auras not lesser than ours."
All four of its eyes simultaneously project a three-dimensional energy analysis chart:
"That Great Wizard Vinard, his two Dark Sun Level students, and other hidden presences...
If we launch a frontal assault, even if we succeed, we will certainly alert them, and we may not be able to retreat safely."
"Then let’s make it quick!"
The second hound, "Fenrir," growls impatiently.
Its form is the most frenzied, with a body resembling a burning time storm, surrounded by countless shattered time fragments.
These fragments collide continuously in its anger, emitting thunderous roars:
"Directly tear his timeline apart, devour his existence! Who cares about whether there are Great Wizards or not!"
Scarlet flames burn in Fenrir’s six eyes:
"We are the hunters of time! Any existence is our prey!"
"Foolish."
The third hound, "Leila," speaks in a gentle yet dangerous voice.
Its form is the most unreal, resembling flowing light and shadow, sometimes forming the contour of a wolf, sometimes dispersing into countless points of light.
When it speaks, the voice seems to come from everywhere:
"Fenrir, your recklessness may get us all killed; the aura of this prey is too complex."
Leila’s figure begins to change, simulating various marks it perceives from Ron:
"Aura of Chaos, Dragon Soul Possession, the blessing of ’Apocalypse,’ Creator’s approval... and traces of ’Absurdity’ and ’Illusion.’
Its voice becomes more solemn:
"His existence itself is a collection of ’paradoxes’; forceful attack may provoke unpredictable rebound."
"Moreover," Leila pauses:
"That old guy Saklang laid a ’Time Fog’ on him. Our perception is severely disrupted; frontal assault is very detrimental to us."
Carlos then lifts his head, staring at the world shrouded in mist in the distance:
"Since physical hunting is not possible, we’ll hunt his ’cognition.’"
Fenrir’s frenzy recedes slightly: "What do you mean?"
"Leila excels at weaving illusions." Carlos turns to the companion shifting like shadows:
"We utilize Saklang’s fog to mislead him into misjudging our intentions."
"Then, disguise as his most trusted source of knowledge—that ’Extraordinary Comprehensive Guide,’ luring him to enter our parable woven with ’History Fragments’ voluntarily."
Leila’s body of light and shadows begins to rapidly change, simulating various forms:
"Interesting idea. Mental-level hunting is indeed more covert... and if he enters our realm, then all risks will transfer to him."
"But," its voice carries a hint of caution:
"Disguising as ’Extraordinary Comprehensive Guide’ also carries great risks; that book bears the imprint of ’Absurdity’s’ will, if detected..."
"It won’t be."
Carlos analyzes calmly:
"’Absurdity’s’ attention isn’t here.
Furthermore, we don’t need to perfectly disguise the entire book, just provide a sufficiently enticing ’bait’ at the crucial moment."
Its eyes reveal a cunning look:
"A parable about ’ultimate technology,’ fitting his current psychological needs... he won’t refuse."
