The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse Chapter 1800: Return of the Asura Race (27)
Previously on The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse...
Matthew really was disappointed in his father, and it wasn’t only because of his decisions today. He had already seen his father as a coward and a bad person long before he ran away with the other patriarchs and hid inside the miniature universes.
He was a horrible father to Mark and a horrible warrior who ran when things got tough.
So his siding with the heavens, and even his aiding Axarax in coming after Klaus, weren’t the only causes.
This was why he couldn’t care less whether he lived or died.
But Matthew grew up as a warrior and knew that in a well-structured warrior team, hierarchies must be respected. He had followed orders from his superiors before, so he knew that when they said "move out," you moved.
This was why he couldn’t bear to see the warriors of the ancient families die like dogs simply because their leaders had issued the wrong orders.
"Allow me to save the warriors from the Tikkun Ancient Family. They aren’t completely innocent in this, but they also wouldn’t be here if not for their patriarch ordering them to come."
Klaus turned and looked at the warriors from the ancient families.
They had each come with 100,000 warriors, but so far, over 20,000 from each family had died, making 120,000 out of the combined total of 600,000 warriors.
Klaus was pissed, and he would punish them severely when things finally settled down. But he also couldn’t lose a friend like Matthew simply because he failed to see the bigger picture.
"You can save them for now. But when this is over, my punishment will affect all of them down to their 11th generation. That, not even you can stand in for them."
"Thank you, Klaus."
Matthew teleported away, and Klaus called Asmodeus to pull back his undead from killing the warriors from the ancient families and instead aid them in repelling the Chaos Beasts.
The five patriarchs finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Seeing their people no longer getting slaughtered by their friends who had died and been awakened by Asmodeus, they knew Matthew had done them a solid.
But they also knew the damage had already been done. Klaus would never trust them again, and while they might succeed in keeping their lives now, there was no guarantee that would be the case for long.
Regretting it now was also of no use, since they had already made the blunder and now had to live with it.
Across the universe, people who shared Matthew’s mindset finally sighed in relief. They knew the warriors were just following orders, so slaughtering them was just too cold for Klaus.
Time slowly passed, and before long, only 7 minutes remained.
That was when the greatest shock of all happened.
Somewhere on the battlefield, Danny, now standing 24 meters tall, descended like a mountain, his axe filled with so much power that as he took a swing, the void cracked around the blade, causing a terrifying pressure to descend on the battlefield.
"Titan Emperor’s Wrath: Descent of Thy Judgement!"
Danny’s eyes glowed red, and for the first time ever, everyone froze.
Klaus let out a pale smile, for he knew that Primordial or not, Danny was about to kill her. There was no surviving Descent of Thy Judgement. It was a technique that only the true Emperor of the Titan Race could use.
After all, it was something the Paragon had bestowed on their Royal bloodline.
It had three forms.
The first could be used by all Titans.
The second could only be used by Royal Titans, and the third could be used by the Titan Emperor.
It tapped into their bloodline power and unleashed power so great that even those three realms above him would feel their bones quake long before the attack even reached them.
The Primordial Lady, who had run off to call the swordsman whom Matthew had already killed, turned pale, watching as the axe came down hard and fast toward her.
She conjured a thick layer of defense; however, she knew, deep within herself, that she wouldn’t be able to withstand such an attack.
Already, cracks had started appearing in the shield she had created, even though the attack hadn’t arrived yet.
"DIE, BITCH!"
Danny’s voice boomed, and far from him, his friends had already retreated, supporting each other just so they could witness the historic moment of a Supreme killing a Primordial.
BOOOOOM!
The ground exploded, and lava burst out, reducing thousands of trees to ash. The void also cracked open, and void essence poured out, devouring everything near it.
As for the Primordial, she lay flat on the scorched ground, dead.
There wasn’t even a twitch of her body that would suggest she was still breathing. She had just died like that, and aside from Danny and Klaus, nobody knew just how he was able to kill the Dao of a Primordial.
Magnus teleported beside Danny, who stood rigid, his body locked in place. He had returned to his normal form, but even so, he stood 7 feet tall.
Magnus struck his chest and the joint of his shoulder. It was only after he had done that that Danny could move again.
"How much blood essence did you burn for that attack?" Magnus asked.
"25% of my bloodline and a quarter of my life force," Danny replied with a smile, showing he was satisfied despite paying a heavy price.
"I will give you some of my blood after the battle. For now, go rest. You have done more than enough."
Danny would have argued if these were normal times. But he indeed knew he needed some rest right about now, since he had used all the energy inside him for that attack.
Magnus retrieved the Pagoda he had found on the first floor of the Inheritance Tower, and Danny vanished into it. He teleported to his friends, and they were sucked in too. Afterwards, he stored away the Pagoda and returned to guarding the ladies.
Two Primordials on the enemy side were dead now, leaving six more.
But before those six are handled, there are still millions of Chaos Beasts left to kill.
Axarax had made it so that the rate at which the Chaos Beasts were pouring out was several times higher than before.
