Tasha sensed Klaus’s life was threatened, prompting Hanna and Nyrela to devise a plan. Just as despair loomed for Klaus, four portals opened, revealing King Alastor and the Asura Demons, Queen Ophelia, the Shadow King and his assassins, and the Elven Empress with Caelmir warriors. Orion and Knox merged with Klaus, increasing his power, while Magnus, Paragon, and Rhazor guarded the ladies opening the gateway. Axarax was shocked by the timely reinforcements.

The battle had taken a turn for the better for Klaus and his people.

Axarax’s backup plan had been destroyed by the reinforcements that the three Paragon Star Lights had brought. Thus, with these additions, Klaus could finally breathe and even buy some more time for Queenie and the Fates to succeed.

They still had 10 minutes left.

But they were holding on for dear life, and with three of his incarnations personally guarding the four ladies, he could finally feel more secure knowing that nothing would slip past him.

King Alric and Klaus’s uncle, Azai, had taken on Drakhar, allowing Vida to pull back and heal her injuries.

While she was only a Supreme, thanks to her Barbarian physique, she was able to tank most of the attacks Drakhar unleashed on her. She was in no way a match for him. But to protect her sisters, she didn’t hesitate to jump in and fight a Primordial.

That was both reckless and brave.

Now, watching as her mangled body was being patched up, anger burned in Klaus’s soul.

He knew for a fact that even if the other patriarchs somehow managed to keep their lives, Drakhar would die today, right here on this battlefield.

The only thing holding him back now was the four ladies, inching closer to opening the gateway that would bring back the warriors of the Asura Race.

Meanwhile, across the battlefield, the burning angel was still burning with intense flame energy, his face bloody and his chest streaked with deadly cuts.

He had sustained so many injuries, but looking at his opponent, it was clear he had inflicted more injuries than he had sustained.

The Butterfly Primordial Qohor was drawing closer to her death, and what the burning angel had been missing was now much nearer.

He aimed to become a Primordial today, whether the heavens liked it or not.

Before this battle, he seemed to be missing something critical. That one last step, the push, and perhaps the direction he needed seemed to elude him.

However, by fighting this Primordial, he seemed to be starting to figure it out.

Now, feeling the aura coming off his body, it was clear that in no time, he would step onto the stage of a Primordial, and when that happened, his power would surge yet again.

But first, he had to kill this Butterfly and finally rid the battlefield of one more powerhouse.

Their deadly attacks seemed to destabilise the space; however, they kept going, each determined to kill their opponent in the shortest possible time.

Away from them, Old Man Zorvian had also reached the stage where killing his opponent was within his reach. However, killing a Primordial was anything but simple.

Unlike Celestials and Supremes, who could be killed by destroying their bodies and souls, Primordials had to die in three phases. First, their souls, which were normal for all. Second, their bodies, which most often died first.

And lastly, their Dao.

Destroying the body and soul doesn’t guarantee their death since their Dao was basically their law of self, and as such, they could reform themselves from just that.

So destroying that was the ultimate and sure way to kill a Primordial.

However, it was easier said than done.

It takes a great deal of effort just to destroy the Dao of a Primordial.

But Old Man Zorvian, the only Patriarch who refused to do the bidding of the heavens, was much closer to winning. Once he did, his own Dao would grow stronger, and he could also finally join Klaus in handling the other powerhouses.

Suddenly, a sword light flashed across the sky, and a heart-shattering scream spread across the battlefield.

Many turned and looked, only to see half of a body falling.

This body belonged to the Primordial that Matthew had clashed with minutes ago.

Before it could land on the ground, thousands of sword lights streaked across the sky, and it was cut into pieces. Up above, the Primordial, wielding the large sword, looked at Matthew with extreme hatred and true fear.

Matthew ignored his expression and advanced forward, aiming to kill this bastard and personally step in for his friends who were now closer to being annihilated.

"Stay back, you monster," the Primordial, with only half his body left, shouted, his expression turning icy.

"Pot calling the kettle black," Matthew smirked, and his sword moved, unleashing a deadly sword arc.

The Primordial blocked it, but before he could rush away and save his skin, Matthew used a movement technique and closed in on him.

Then, unleashing yet another attack, he faked a sudden movement, which made the Primordial defend against the first attack, only to find himself exposed by at least a 5% opening in his defense.

That was all Matthew needed.

"Dao & Soul Severing Slash!"

His sword intent exploded outward, and his soul Qi enveloped his sword.

His sword moved, and a thin line flashed out, cutting through the Primordial’s body. However, instead of feeling his body being cut in half, it was his soul and Dao that were affected.

The sword light cut through both, causing his body to freeze at once. Then he collapsed from the air and slammed into the ground, creating a deadly boom.

90% of the people on the battlefield turned and looked, the majority of them shuddering. The battle between Matthew and the Chaos Beast Primordial had ended, and Matthew had won.

That was unexpected, but in some ways, also expected. However, what shocked them most was how much less injured Matthew was than someone like the Burning Angel.

He wasn’t too hurt, which, from the look of things, showed he had more of the upper hand throughout the battle. Still, a Pseudo-Primordial killing a Primordial in less than an hour had never been heard of before.

"Nicely done, Matthew. I never had any doubts you would succeed in killing that bastard," Klaus said just as Matthew flew toward him.

"Thanks, Klaus, but I have a favour to ask."

"If you are here to plead for your father, then I am sorry, but not even our friendship will compel me to change my mind."

Matthew smiled and shook his head. "I couldn’t care less what you do to that idiot. I just don’t want the innocent who are just following orders to be implicated."
