The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse Chapter 1792: Return of the Asura Race (19)
Previously on The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse...
The cage holding the six patriarchs was strong on the inside but fragile on the outside. Even a Supreme could easily break the lock and free the six trapped inside.
This was why Paragon had stood guard, making sure nobody dared to try to break the lock. Of course, none of the patriarchs had any hope that any of their men could break the lock.
In their heads, since they couldn’t break it, nobody else could.
But a Primordial was another story.
What if a Primordial could break it?
That was not out of the question, so the moment she moved toward the cage, everyone knew she might just succeed. Paragon was already too late to do anything since he hadn’t even recovered his momentum.
On the side, Klaus was also locked in battle with a Pseudo-Primordial and a Celestial.
The only ones free were his wives, whom he didn’t want to move just yet. Still, he had this suspicion that something or someone else was behind the scenes pulling the strings.
If he went out of his way to dismantle his own plan, that would be playing right into the enemy’s hands. So he had to adapt, and so he did. But his plan would cause more damage to himself than to his opponent.
His mind spun for answers, but before he could think of one, an arrow came from the side, and the Primordial lady had no choice but to turn toward it, or else she risked getting severely injured.
Her direction changed, and her spear met the sharp tip of Kay’s arrow.
She was pushed back a few meters, but before she could move toward the cage again, a second arrow arrived, then a third came, and before the Primordial could figure out where the arrows were coming from, she was surrounded by dozens of them.
She easily blocked all the arrows, and she even managed to figure out where they were coming from.
When she saw Kay and realized he was just a Supreme, a smirk formed on her face. But then Kay took out a God-Killing Arrow and placed it in his bow.
When she saw that, her expression changed, and so she moved, aiming to prevent him from firing that arrow.
"Breaking the Heavens, Smashing the Laws." A giant axe arrived before her, forcing her to switch her focus from Kay to Danny, who had decided to join his friend.
BOOOOM!
Her spear crashed into the axe, and she was sent flying back. Danny also lost his balance and flew back, blood spilling from the corner of his lips.
However, a smile formed on his face when he saw a flaming hammer move from his left and close in on the lady right away.
"Giant Hammer Falling!"
Daniel descended from the sky with a large hammer, smashing it toward the Primordial, who never in her wildest dreams expected to fight Supremes rather than fellow Primordials in this campaign to destroy the Asura race for good.
BAM!
The hammer smashed into her spear again, and while she wasn’t sent flying this time, she felt the pressure from it. It pressed down on her hard, but she wasn’t helpless against it.
Her right leg whipped through the air, aiming to break a few of Daniel’s ribs. However, before she could land that kick, a cut appeared on her ankle of the leg still standing on the ground.
"HUH?"
Her eyes widened, and because of the sudden distraction, she paid for it.
"Cleaving the Laws, Cleaving Humanity!"
An axe flashed through the air, and a thick arc of lightning shot out, landing on her side. The impact sent her flying through the air, arms whipping back as if she had been hit by a bus.
BOOOM!
She landed on a mountain 3 km away, completely destroying it.
Miguel patted himself on the back for landing a good one.
Danny appeared beside him, his body glowing in a golden light.
Daniel, who nearly lost a few ribs, smiled and appeared beside his two friends.
Jason, who had severed a few veins in her ankle, also walked over and stopped before his friends, wearing a smile on his face.
"This is going to be a terrible and dangerous battle," Kilian said, the Sword of Damnation humming an insidious yet excited tune.
"Can we even kill a Primordial?" Mark asked, and the answer was immediate.
"If you guys can give me a two-second window, then I am confident I can put an arrow through her for good," Kay revealed, a pale smile playing on his lips.
"If you guys manage to kill her, then after this battle, I will upgrade you all to the level of a Peak Celestial Supreme."
Klaus’s voice reached them, and they nodded.
"In that case, Kilian, do your thing," Daniel said, patting his friend on the shoulder while a smile formed on his face. "Just make sure we don’t lose our hands and nearly get cut in half this time, please."
Kilian nodded with a smile, something he rarely does these days. "I will do my best."
Thus, the seven friends of the Paragon who had followed him from Earth moved toward their opponent, who was now radiating an intense aura of anger and fury.
"Die, you bugs!"
She moved and stabbed her spear right at Miguel. She want to kill him, since it was his attack that had sent her flying into the mountain.
Unfortunately for her, she didn’t get to him because Kay had already unleashed the God-Killing Arrow, and she was forced to block it.
Danny took advantage of that and unleashed a deadly axe throw, his giant axe arriving before the lady in an instant.
"Wind Cut!"
The axe had only just arrived before her when it vanished.
But the next second, she felt blood seep from her thighs. She only saw Jason pass, but that was all she needed to know that if she didn’t kill Jason first, she would be forced to bleed to death.
"Die, you miserable dimwits!" She exploded with energy, and at once, the power of her Dao spread across space, pressing down on Danny and co.
However, Kilian didn’t allow her to even move.
"Dao of Slaughter and Damnation... Activate!"
The sound of humming and the smell of blood soon spread across the battlefield, and the Dao released by the Primordial met its match.
"Mark, don’t allow her to unleash any long range attacks..." Kilian said, and the bastard son of Patriarch Tikkun moved, his spear meeting his opponent in deadly close combat.
In this battle, Mark was destined to sustain the most injuries because of the role he would be playing.
But he wasn’t backing down, not when he planned to prove to his old man and everyone from the ancient families that he wasn’t the loser they believed him to be.
