The wolves decide to observe the battle rather than join, while Asura fights off numerous Celestial Chaos Beasts. A Pseudo-Primordial level humanoid appears and targets Aster, the Fate of the Present, prompting Asura to reorganize defenses to protect her and the other Fates. Asura then unleashes his full power, initiating a breakthrough to the Supreme level amidst the ongoing battle.

"This is bad. He cannot be allowed to become a Supreme," Aetherion exclaimed, his expression turning ugly. "From the information we have, the Paragon cannot be allowed to become a Supreme, or else you already know what will happen."

"You don’t have to tell us, Aetherion. We already know," Drakhar said, his draconic eyes narrowing at Asura.

"But now that we are locked behind bars, how can we stop him? As you already know, the entire universe is watching, so if we make our men attack him, we will become enemies of the universe forever.

But if we allow him to become a Supreme, what we were warned about will become reality. Either way, we are fucked."

The looks on their faces showed they knew something about the Paragon so dangerous that they could not allow it to come to pass.

To the rest of the universe, what is known about the Paragon is little.

Nobody knows where he came from, just that one day, nine stars fell from the infinity of the cosmos into this universe. He was found by Zorvian while investigating one of the locations where the stars landed.

Later, the stars vanished, and he grew up to become one of the most powerful warriors the Primordial Era had seen. As a demigod, he was killing Supremes and Celestials like they were bugs.

However, it had been years now, and the ancient families seemed to have more information about the Paragon. Maybe they know something that even Klaus himself doesn’t know yet.

Tikkun turned and looked at Zorvian, who was giving orders to his warriors, who had also joined the battle. They were the reason Klaus could pull his wives back to guard their sisters.

He knew Zorvian would never help them, so they needed a new plan.

"What should we do?" Nyxaroth asked.

The other patriarchs began thinking even more. Soon, however, Aetherion, known for his intelligence, came up with a solution.

"That heaven’s messenger said the three ladies are the key to the return of the Asura race. If they die, they will cease to exist, which will also mean Asura will be no more.

That will end the battle, and we can even join them to fight the chaos beasts to save face. So let’s find a way to kill the three ladies, and we’ll be done with our mission."

"I think I have a way to do that," Nyxaroth grinned. His family is made up of assassins, each specialised in the use of darkness, shadow and void.

If he were to send some of them through the darkness, shadows and void, then killing the ladies would be as simple as plucking flowers, or so he thought.

He used telepathy to talk to his men who were in the middle of their line-up. Covered by the thousands of warriors, Ten entered the darkness, ten entered the shadows, and ten entered the void.

Unaware that Paragon had already discovered their plot, the six patriarchs sat down and started to wait for the battle to end before it even began.

In the darkness, the ten Celestial assassins moved with coordinated ease. They had done this several times, so it was routine to them. In the back of their minds, they were going to strike with lethal precision and vanish without a trace.

However, just when they got within 200 meters of Queenie and the three ladies, the darkness suddenly closed in around them. They felt their bodies restricted, then they were pulled through some form of portal.

Before they could protest, they found themselves standing before two ladies who, judging by the uncanny resemblance, they knew were twins.

Luna sat on a throne of darkness, her legs crossed, while Nuna sat on the throne’s armrest, her legs crossed as well, a dagger flipping casually between her fingers.

The ten assassins felt a chill run down their spines when they laid eyes on the danger twins.

"And here I thought we were going to miss out on all the fun," Luna said, turning to look at her sister...

Nuna smirked and said, "No need to be overly emotional, sis. We have been waiting for this moment for a very long time."

"Indeed. So maybe we should get that handled before more come."

Luna nodded, and with a wave of her hand, a lantern with burning dark flames appeared. Then, from its dark flames, hundreds of shadows flowed out.

"Take over their bodies. We also need our shadow army, just like Asha and Nadia have their warriors."

The shadows moved, and the ten assassins immediately felt like no matter what they did, they would not be able to escape death.

They immediately tried suicide by igniting their cores. However, the chill they felt at first grew even colder when they felt their cores had already been invaded.

Before they could even scream, the shadows covered them, and a few seconds later, they stood up and dropped to one knee, bowing toward the Darkness Twins.

"Welcome to the team, shadows."

The two ladies laughed and waited for more to show up so they could gather more bodies and build their shadow legion.

Meanwhile, through the shadows, another ten assassins making their way toward Queenie’s location also froze when they felt the shadows betray them.

In no time, they stood before six ladies.

These six are Nia, the Shadowless Assassin, and her five shadows: Chronis, Shadow of Time; Axis, Shadow of Space; Veyrha, Shadow of the Void; Umbros, Shadow of Darkness; and Kaelith, Shadow of Chaos.

They all look the same but have different hair colors.

"Well then, gentlemen, we have been waiting for you," Nia said with a smile tugging at the corner of her lips. The ten assassins sent by Nyxaroth all felt their lives threatened by just that smile.

Before they could make any sound, shadowy hands reached from the ground and dragged them inside. A few seconds later, they returned, now clad in cloaks and wearing masks.

"Welcome to the team, Shadow Fiends," Chronis said, a laugh escaping her lips.

"Do you think those twins will surpass us?" Kaelith, the Shadow of Chaos, asked.

"Depends on how many more they send their way. But once the Asuras are out, we will join the main battle and harvest more shadows," Nia said, and her shadows nodded.

Meanwhile, inside the void, Yaxche, the Blood Dagger Prince, wiped his daggers, ten headless bodies lying in front of him, their eyes still wide open, shock written in them.
