The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2686: A blast that made the universe quake
Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
A jet of blood erupted from the bite wound in the neck of the King of the Scarlet Night. Yet Cain did not allow himself to feel the pain. His eyes remained locked onto those of the Primordial Dragon of Samsara, burning with determination.
The dark flames engulfing the dragon were inflicting considerable damage, but Cain knew they would not be enough to kill it before the power granted to him by the will of his people faded.
He had only one chance.
If he wanted to win, he needed to end the battle with a single decisive move.
And he already knew what he had to do.
The next heartbeat, the Scarlet and Golden Eyes of the King of the Scarlet Night began to glow brighter and brighter. Their radiance intensified at an absurd rate until their light surpassed even that of countless supernovas exploding simultaneously.
It was true that the Fourth Realm Force that had served as the catalyst for his evolution—the very foundation of his new path—could not yet compare to the Samsara Force. Cain lacked the mastery and experience necessary to wield it at its true potential.
But that was not the only Fourth Realm Force he possessed.
There were two others.
Cain had cultivated and relied upon them from the very beginning of his journey. They had accompanied him through countless battles, evolved alongside him, and become fundamental parts of his existence.
Now, it was time to unleash their killing power.
"ARGHHHHHH!"
The King of the Scarlet Night roared as he released every ounce of power contained within his Scarlet and Golden Eyes.
The Primordial Dragon of Samsara was still adapting to the sudden surge of strength from the Sovereign. Still, everything else ceased to matter the instant the two eyes manifested within its perception.
They transformed into enormous portals.
Through the eyes, the dragon saw a vast golden realm stretching beyond the boundaries of reality. Golden water flowed endlessly throughout that mysterious domain, connecting countless worlds, dimensions, and possibilities into one immeasurable river.
And ruling over that endless golden realm was a colossal scarlet sun.
Within that sun, the dragon saw something terrifying.
The raw and ferocious will of the Scarlet King.
The Scarlet Sun erupted, unleashing an endless torrent of willpower that crashed against the dragon’s mind and soul.
"ROOOAAARRR!"
The Primordial Dragon of Samsara released a pained roar.
A searing sensation spread throughout its soul.
Yet even though the pain was immense, the attack was still far from enough to break through its spiritual defenses. The soul of the Samsara Lord’s Incarnation was simply too powerful.
Unfortunately for the dragon, the Scarlet Sun was not alone.
One after another, scarlet celestial bodies began to emerge from the golden river.
A scarlet moon.
Then another and another.
Scarlet stars appeared next, illuminating the endless golden waters with crimson radiance.
Finally, countless scarlet meteors descended from the depths of the realm, each carrying an overwhelming fragment of will.
And within those celestial bodies, the Primordial Dragon of Samsara could perceive something else.
The will of the warriors of the Six Sacred Races.
The will of those who refused to lose their homes.
The will of those who refused to accept that their families and friends would die simply because another power desired their world.
The will of those who had endured countless horrors and still refused to bow their heads.
Their determination was simple.
They would stand.
They would fight.
And they would never surrender their universe!
Even if the enemy before them was a monstrous existence born from the essence of an Eternal, they would still raise their weapons and fight until the very end.
All those wills converged within the Endless River of the Flow.
The scarlet moons, stars, and meteors merged into one overwhelming current of spiritual power, fusing their strength with Cain’s own will.
Then the entire torrent descended upon the Primordial Dragon of Samsara.
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"
The dragon released a scream of utter agony.
The burning sensation that had previously tormented its soul transformed into an inferno.
Its soul felt as though it were being boiled alive, every fragment of its existence subjected to an unbearable pressure that threatened to tear its spiritual foundation apart.
Even the will of a Fourth Realm existence would have struggled to endure such torment.
Yet Cain continued to roar.
His eyes burned brighter and brighter.
Using the willpower of an entire universe against a single target placed an unimaginable burden on his soul. Every second pushed his spiritual foundation closer to its limits.
But Cain did not stop.
He could feel it.
The soul of the Incarnation was approaching its breaking point.
If he could shatter it here, the battle would be over.
"Just a little more..."
Cain gritted his teeth.
"Push forward just a little more, and I will—"
His thoughts suddenly froze.
The entire body of the Primordial Dragon of Samsara began to glow.
For a fraction of a second, the dragon became brighter than the surrounding void.
Then—
"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!"
Its entire body detonated.
A blazing explosion of purple Samsara Force erupted in every direction.
The dark flames surrounding the dragon were instantly torn apart, blasted into fragments by the overwhelming explosion. The shockwave spread through the void like an unstoppable tide, obliterating everything in its path.
"RUMBLE! RUMBLE! RUMBLE!"
The explosion was so immense that even the Empyrean World where Leonidas and the other warriors resided trembled violently.
The faces of the Six Sacred Races changed.
"Just what kind of power is that!?"
Leonidas could not stop himself from uttering those words.
They were already so far away from the battlefield that they could barely perceive the details of the confrontation. Yet the tremors generated by that explosion had reached them across an enormous portion of the universe.
It was incomprehensible.
It surpassed their understanding.
The void itself cracked.
Massive spatial fissures spread across a considerable section of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, twisting the fabric of reality around them.
Had the battle taken place closer to the populated regions, countless worlds would have been annihilated in an instant.
Fortunately, Cain had deliberately pushed the battle toward the Universal Wall, far away from the civilizations of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.
Even so, the devastation remained terrifying.
Several seconds passed before the purple radiance finally began to fade.
The warriors of the Six Sacred Races immediately focused their attention on the battlefield.
Unfortunately, they were simply too far away to determine the outcome.
Had Cain won?
Had the Incarnation survived?
No one knew.
The only reassurance they possessed was the connection established through the Power of Chaos.
Through it, they could still feel Cain’s presence.
He was alive.
But his condition...
That was something they could not determine.
And that uncertainty filled their hearts with fear.
As the last traces of purple light disappeared, the two massive, world-sized entities that had dominated the battlefield were gone.
Only one figure remained.
Cain.
The Scarlet King floated within the devastated void, his body heaving as he struggled to breathe.
His condition was horrifying.
Blood covered his body, while countless wounds ran across his flesh. His wing was damaged, several bones were fractured, and the energy flowing through his body was dangerously unstable.
Cain slowly clenched his fists.
"Had I not protected myself at the last second..."
His voice was hoarse.
"...the damage would have been much worse."
Yet there was no time to dwell on his injuries.
His eyes suddenly sharpened.
..
The void cracked as countless purple embers manifested, colliding with one another in a violent storm of Samsara Force. From within the chaos, a familiar figure gradually took shape, and in the blink of an eye, the Incarnation of the Samsara Lord manifested once again.
Cain could not help but clench his fists when he saw it.
Breaking the soul of the Incarnation beneath the overwhelming might of the willpower belonging to trillions upon trillions of beings should have been enough to kill it.
That was why, at the very last moment, the Incarnation had chosen to detonate itself, destroying its own soul rather than allowing Cain to completely crush it.
If its mind was shattered, everything would have been lost. However, death alone could not easily defeat a being carrying the essence of Samsara within every iota of its flesh and spirit.
Of course, such a resurrection did not come without a price.
Before his evolution, Cain would never have been capable of noticing the difference, but now that he had stepped into the Fourth Realm, his perception had reached an entirely different level. He could clearly sense that the essence powering the Incarnation had diminished considerably.
’It will not be able to do that again, and its power must have taken a considerable hit.’
The Scarlet King’s eyes glowed with fierce battle intent as he lowered his body and adopted a combat stance.
"I can win!"
As he shouted those words, Cain extended one hand.
The void trembled.
Something extraordinarily special began to manifest within his palm.
