The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2682: Beyond the Apex (II)
Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
The collision between the Arch-Nephilim Body and the Primordial Body triggered a massive energy explosion.
It was not particularly large in scale, encompassing only a small portion of the already-scorched continent, but its might was terrifying.
The energies released by the collision were so powerful that they could rival the might of the Samsara Essence itself. The resulting shockwave blasted the Incarnation of the Samsara Lord backward, sending it flying deep into the void, half its body scorched.
The Incarnation immediately regained control of its body.
Its eyes sharpened as it glanced down at the wounds covering its flesh.
It was not only its destructive power that had risen to an unimaginable level. The durability of its flesh and blood had also reached an absurd realm.
Every cell within its body had been strengthened by the Samsara Force. Under normal circumstances, almost no energy could damage it.
Yet that single explosion had scorched its body!
The Incarnation slowly raised its head.
Its attention returned to the origin of the explosion, and the sharpness within its eyes intensified as it saw the wondrous aurora spreading in every direction.
Leonidas and the rest of the warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe stared at the phenomenon with wide, astonished eyes.
Although the aurora was so brilliant that it obscured their vision, they could all feel it.
The life force of the Scarlet King was rising.
And it was not merely recovering.
It was growing stronger!
In the blink of an eye, that life force reached a realm that the Third Realm warriors could only imagine. Yet even after reaching such a terrifying level, it continued to rise.
None of them knew what was happening.
But they understood one thing.
The Scarlet King had triggered some kind of transformation.
A transformation capable of pushing his power to an entirely different level.
Perhaps...
Perhaps allowing him to face the Incarnation of the Samsara Lord.
The thought alone caused the warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance to tremble with excitement.
Third Realm life forms could only perceive the magnificent aurora.
The Incarnation, however, could see far deeper.
Its gaze pierced through the radiance and reached the laws and concepts hidden within it.
The principles and mysteries contained inside that phenomenon caused its fists to slowly clench.
It might not possess an ego.
It might not possess a conventional will.
But it possessed battle instincts.
And those instincts were screaming.
Something impossible was happening.
Something that should not have existed.
Something that even an existence carrying the essence of the almighty Samsara Lord had never anticipated.
Fear.
For the first time since its birth, the Incarnation of the Samsara Lord felt fear.
Yet, honoring the origin from which it had been born, that fear did not make it hesitate.
Quite the opposite.
It made it more resolute.
The Samsara Eye on its forehead began to glow.
Its energy surged higher and higher.
Then the Incarnation raised one hand.
A tiny drop of purple blood appeared above its palm.
It was no larger than a grain of rice.
Yet the moment it appeared, the surrounding void began to tremble.
The tiny drop quivered for a moment before suddenly expanding.
Its size increased.
Then increased again.
In an instant, it transformed into a massive purple sun.
The warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe and the Curse Eaters of the Tenth Empyrean World stared at the celestial body.
Their hearts stopped.
It looked almost identical to the purple sun Nito had unleashed earlier.
But the difference in power was absolute.
Nito’s attack had merely been a projection.
A copy of the true power.
What the Incarnation had created was different.
This was a genuine Samsara Sun.
Its radiance spread across the void, and the pressure it released was so immense that the very fabric of space seemed to solidify.
If that sun descended upon the Fallen Empyrean World, the entire world would be annihilated.
Everyone within it would die.
Yet the warriors of the Six Sacred Races and the remaining Curse Eaters could not flee.
The pressure alone prevented them from moving.
For a moment, it seemed that their deaths were inevitable.
Then...
The Incarnation halted.
Its eyes narrowed.
They finally managed to pierce through the brilliant aurora.
And what it saw froze its movements.
Not because the sight was magnificent.
Because it was horrifying.
Within the aurora was an enormous mass of flesh and organs, roughly the size of a small moon.
Flesh twisted around flesh.
Organs intertwined with one another.
Blood and energy surged through the grotesque mass as its vitality continued to rise.
But there was something deeply wrong.
The mass was on the verge of exploding.
The two bodies were attempting to merge, desperately trying to devour and assimilate one another, but they could not reconcile the fundamentally different principles that had given birth to them.
The same problem existed within their souls.
The soul forces of the two bodies were colliding, attempting to become one, yet their different paths resisted complete integration.
Their bodies could not merge.
Their souls could not merge.
Their energies could not fully merge.
The entire process was collapsing.
If the fusion had been performed in a controlled environment, with sufficient time and countless preparations, there was a good chance it could have succeeded.
But attempting such a fusion in a single instant...
It was not merely reckless.
It was suicidal.
The Incarnation stared silently at the grotesque mass.
If the Scarlet King was going to kill himself, there was no reason to destroy the entire Fallen Empyrean World alongside him.
Slowly, the Incarnation lowered its hand.
The Samsara Sun remained suspended in the void, bathing everything in an eerie purple glow.
The Incarnation simply waited.
It would allow the Scarlet King to destroy himself.
And it seemed that it would not have to wait long.
The cascade of systemic failures triggered by the rushed fusion was reaching its breaking point.
The mass of flesh trembled violently.
Cracks began appearing across its surface.
Its energy surged wildly.
Only a few seconds remained before the entire mass exploded.
Inside that grotesque fusion, however, a voice suddenly echoed.
"Boy, what have you done?!"
It was Apex.
For perhaps the first time in countless years, genuine panic could be heard in the ancient advisor’s voice.
"You have to find a way to stop this! Now!"
The danger was obvious.
Even Apex understood that if the fusion collapsed, Cain would not merely suffer severe injuries.
His entire existence could be annihilated.
Yet despite the chaos within his body and the instability of his soul force, Cain’s ego remained lucid.
His True Name had become a phantom presence within the collapsing mass, preserving his consciousness.
He understood exactly what was happening.
He understood the danger.
He understood that he might die.
And yet...
There was no fear in his heart.
There was excitement.
A thrill that burned deeper than anything he had experienced before.
"Why stop it?"
Cain’s voice echoed through his own mind.
"I’ve been saving every single point of force for years..."
His smile widened.
"...exactly for a moment like this."
Apex fell silent.
Before the golden humanoid could analyze Cain’s words or formulate another objection, the Scarlet King roared with all his strength.
"Absolute Life Form System!"
The robotic voice of the system immediately echoed within his mind.
"What is the Vessel’s order?"
Cain’s eyes burned with determination.
"Use everything I have."
His voice carried absolute resolve.
"Use every point of force my destiny has generated."
The mass of flesh trembled violently.
"Use everything I’ve accumulated throughout my path and help me evolve beyond the confines of an Apex Race."
Cain’s smile became almost feral.
There was no hesitation left.
No fear.
Only ambition.
"Let’s become..."
The entire universe seemed to tremble.
"...Absolute!"
