Cain and Nito pushed each other to their absolute limits in a brutal exchange. Nito's mastery of Samsara clashed with Cain's destructive Entropy, each warrior suffering grievous wounds and regenerating them rapidly. As Nito's power grew due to the opening Samsara Eye, Cain realized he was being pushed beyond his current limits, forcing him to resort to a desperate final move.

Far away, the Chimera Will had been fighting the Storm of the Root since the beginning of the battle, tearing away massive chunks of rotting flesh and devouring them with savage delight. Its body had grown more powerful with every piece consumed, yet the moment it heard Cain’s call, there was no hesitation. The monstrous entity roared, abandoned the Storm of the Root, and transformed into a beam of scarlet-black light that crossed the battlefield in an instant.

The light landed in Cain’s hand and became a spear.

Tyranus Gungnir manifested once more.

The moment the weapon appeared, the unstable power of Entropy, Nihility, and Quietus surged through it, and instead of collapsing beneath the strain, the spear devoured those forces, refined them, and amplified them. The golden-scarlet eye at the center of the weapon opened wide, and the entire battlefield trembled as a new, far more terrifying aura erupted from Cain’s body.

Nito’s eyes widened.

Cain did not give him time to react.

The Scarlet King roared as he clasped the spear with both hands, channeling all his power into it, and attacked with a ferocity that overwhelmed even the bearer of the Samsara Eye.

Cain swung Tyranus Gungnir with every ounce of strength remaining in his body, causing the draconic and skeletal heads of the spear to release a deafening roar as Entropy, Nihility, Quietus, and the power of the Chimera Will merged into a single destructive current.

The weapon carved through the sky, and the resulting blast surged forward like the collapse of a universe, consuming everything in its path and tearing apart the very fabric of reality.

Nito did not have the time to evade.

The Curse Eater immediately summoned the full power of the Samsara Wheel before him, causing the six realms to rotate at a speed that distorted space itself as they merged into a colossal barrier. Even so, the moment the blast collided with the wheel, the entire battlefield trembled violently.

Space cracked apart, continents shook, and the sky seemed on the verge of collapse as the two overwhelming powers collided.

For several moments, Nito managed to hold his ground, but the force behind Tyranus Gungnir continued to rise, devouring layer after layer of Samsara energy until the barrier could no longer endure, blasting through.

The remaining power crashed into the Curse Eater directly, tearing apart his defenses and sending him flying across the sky while trails of blood followed behind him.

Yet even as his body tumbled through the air, Nito’s eyes remained fierce. It was clear that no matter the damage, no matter the pain, he would not give up. The Curse Eater would continue to fight.

Pushing his body and soul to the limit, he managed to regain control of his figure very quickly, his consciousness connecting with another presence on the battlefield.

The Storm of the Root moved.

The gigantic abomination had been let free after Tyranus Gungnir returned toward Cain and had already charged toward the Scarlet King. The moment Nito’s command arrived, it froze for a second before surging toward the warriors of the Alliance.

Endless masses of corrupted flesh rolled across the sky while colossal tendrils erupted from its body. Countless mouths opened simultaneously, releasing shrieks, roars, and cries of agony that assaulted both body and soul.

The faces of fallen High Lords and Champions screamed with more and more power, making the creature seem less like a living being and more like a catastrophe given form.

The warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance immediately understood the danger.

Even Alpha Omega Overgods felt their hearts tighten.

The Storm of the Root possessed vitality approaching the Fourth Realm, making it nearly impossible for anyone other than Cain to inflict meaningful damage upon it. And while its killing power was inferior, it was still enough to break anything below the Limit of the Third Realm.

If it reached the Alliance lines, the resulting slaughter would be catastrophic.

Cain saw the danger instantly.

His grip tightened around Tyranus Gungnir as he understood the immense danger that his people faced, but before he could take a single step, Nito had already returned.

The Curse Eater appeared before him once more, his damaged body repairing itself under the influence of the Samsara Eye while increasingly terrifying waves of Samsara Force leaked from the crack in his forehead.

Nito attacked like a crazy beast. Every strike he unleashed carried the weight of reincarnation itself, forcing Cain to remain fully focused if he wished to survive.

A devastating exchange erupted between the two once more.

The clash of spear and palm generated shockwaves that shattered mountains and ripped apart the space around them. Every collision released enough power to annihilate armies, forcing Cain to devote all his attention to Nito while the Storm of the Root continued its advance.

Due to the power up granted by Tyranous Gungnir, Cain had the upper hand and was able to wound Nito’s soul, yet there was a limit to his advantage.

A grim realization appeared in his mind.

If he turned away to save the Alliance, Nito would kill him.

If he remained focused on Nito, the Storm of the Root would massacre his people.

Nito had recognized the situation perfectly.

Victory no longer required defeating the Scarlet King.

The destruction of the Alliance would be enough. After all, once the warriors of the Six Sacred Races were no longer a problem, the rest of the Curse Eaters could help him defeat the Scarlet King.

The enormous flesh storm descended from the sky like a living apocalypse. Countless tendrils surged forward while oceans of corruption spread in every direction. Its mere presence generated a powerful psychological attack, eroding the mind and will of the warriors.

Even powerful Alpha Omega Overgods prepare themselves for a desperate battle. The Storm of the Root was an enemy they could not defeat, especially not while fightnignt he forces of the Tenth Empyrean World.

Just as despair threatened to spread across the battlefield, a brilliant beam of seven-colored light suddenly erupted before the Storm of the Root.
