Nito’s fury and disbelief turned to genuine fear as Cain wielded an unstable blade. Nito’s Samsara Eye began to open, accelerating his regeneration and surging power. Cain’s Primordial Body endured immense strain from the unstable weapon, but both fighters pushed each other to their limits. As the battle intensified, Nito’s hidden eye partially revealed itself, leaking the power of the Fourth Realm. Both warriors knew the fight was nearing its end.

Cain and Nito clashed again, and this time neither attempted to preserve even the smallest fragment of strength. The Scarlet King wielded the unstable blade with both hands, channeling the fused might of Entropy, Nihility, and Quietus through every movement, while the Curse Eater drove the Samsara Eye further open, allowing more of that transcendent force to flood his body, soul, and Primordial Essence.

Their collision tore the sky apart.

Nito’s palm came down in a curved arc, his fingers spread like claws as the power of life and death twisted around them. The strike was not merely aimed at Cain’s body; it carried the intent to seize his vitality, reverse it into death essence, and then crush the remnants of his soul beneath the weight of reincarnation.

Cain responded by stepping to the side with flawless precision, his feet barely shifting across the shattered air as his blade rose from below, cutting through the path of Nito’s wrist before the attack could reach its full momentum.

The blade did not simply wound.

It erased.

A portion of Nito’s forearm vanished in an instant, turning into gray dust that scattered across the battlefield, yet the Curse Eater did not retreat. He twisted his shoulder, allowed the missing section of his limb to regenerate through the Samsara Eye, and drove his knee toward Cain’s ribs with enough force to cave in a world’s crust.

The two separated for less than a heartbeat before surging toward each other again.

Cain spun the blade in a vicious half-circle, his movement sharp and efficient, aiming not for Nito’s head but for the connection between his neck and shoulder. It was a cut meant to sever the flow of energy through the Curse Eater’s body, yet Nito leaned forward instead of pulling back, allowing the blade to graze his collarbone while his fist shot toward Cain’s stomach.

The strike landed, and the Scarlet King felt his internal organs rupture as Samsara Force invaded his flesh.

Rather than resist directly, Cain used the Flow to scatter the invading force across his body, preventing it from concentrating in one place, while his own willpower burned like a sun and forced his wounded organs to remain functional. His response came immediately as he grabbed Nito’s wrist with one hand and slashed with the other, carving a line across the Curse Eater’s chest that extended all the way to his abdomen.

Nito’s blood sprayed across the sky, only to freeze halfway through the air as the Quietus-laced power within the slash devoured the concept of movement itself.

The Curse Eater’s eyes narrowed, but there was no fear in them, only cold calculation and growing fury. His martial skill was monstrous, refined through countless battles across eras, and every time Cain revealed a new angle of attack, Nito adapted. He no longer attempted to block the blade directly unless he had no other choice.

Instead, the Curse Eater used circular movements, redirection, sudden changes in rhythm, and the ghostly intangibility of the Empty Spirits Realm to let the most lethal portions of the strike pass through him while counterattacking at angles that forced Cain to either endure damage or interrupt his own movement.

Cain understood the strategy instantly.

Nito was not merely trying to win the exchange.

He was forcing Cain to swing.

Every slash carried enough power to wound or even kill the Curse Eater, yet every slash also tore apart Cain’s own body from the inside. His muscles were splitting, his bones were developing fractures faster than the Samsara Runic Set could safely mend them, and his Primordial Essence trembled beneath the burden of channeling a force that surpassed the limits of his body.

Still, Cain did not stop.

If Nito wanted to test who would collapse first, then the Scarlet King would answer with even greater ferocity.

The two warriors became streaks of destruction moving across the heavens, their exchanges so fast and refined that most Alpha Omega Overgods could only perceive the shockwaves left behind. Nito struck with palm, fist, elbow, knee, and claw, each motion carrying the profound rhythm of Samsara, while Cain met him with cuts, reversals, feints, and thrusts, transforming the unstable blade into a weapon of absolute endings.

A palm strike shattered Cain’s shoulder and sent fragments of bone piercing through his skin, but Cain used the momentum to spin and cut off half of Nito’s face.

Nito regenerated with a roar and drove his fingers into Cain’s abdomen, tearing out a chunk of flesh and flooding the wound with death essence.

Cain coughed blood, clenched his teeth, and brought the blade down across the surface of Nito’s spine, severing the energy pathways that connected his lower body to the Samsara Wheel for a fraction of a second.

That fraction was almost enough.

Cain advanced, his eyes burning with scarlet-golden light, and unleashed three consecutive slashes that formed a triangle around Nito’s body. The first erased the Curse Eater’s left leg below the knee, the second opened a wound across his chest deep enough to reveal his heart, and the third aimed directly for the scar on his forehead.

For the first time, Nito was forced to sacrifice flesh deliberately.

He tilted his head and allowed the blade to carve through the side of his skull instead of touching the Samsara Eye. A portion of his brain vanished, but the eye pulsed with power, restoring his mind before the damage could become fatal.

The sight made Cain’s expression grow even colder.

The Samsara Eye was becoming more powerful with each passing moment.

The fissure on Nito’s forehead widened further, and the power leaking from it grew denser, more complete, more terrifying. It was no longer just healing him. It was empowering every action, making every blow carry deeper authority over the cycle of existence.

Cain could feel it clearly.

If this continued, Nito would eventually surpass him.

The next exchange reached the zenith of their battle.

Nito descended from above with both hands clasped together, the Samsara Wheel behind him spinning so fast that all six realms blurred into a single disk of white-gold light. Cain raised the blade in response, channeling everything he could into one upward slash. The two attacks collided and locked in place, neither able to fully overcome the other.

The world around them distorted.

The ground split open.

The sky folded inward.

Their powers devoured each other in a storm of annihilation and rebirth, death and nothingness, ending and reincarnation.

Cain’s arms trembled as blood poured from his eyes, nose, and mouth, while Nito’s body cracked beneath the pressure of keeping the Samsara Eye open. For a single instant, they were equal, two monsters standing at the edge of their limits, each waiting for the other to break first.

Then Cain’s eyes flashed.

"Tyranus Gungnir."
