Jason continues to decimate the monsters in the Sea of Monsters, gaining numerous subordinates and powerful artifacts like the Orb of Hypnotism and Green Scale Armor. His subordinates handle lesser threats while he personally defeats formidable beasts, including a shark-like creature, a mermaid, and a giant alligator. Meanwhile, Valeria feasts on mana stones, nearing a breakthrough in her power.

Jason was watching as his Lightning Dragon released a blast of pure lightning on a colony of giant Piranhas that tried to attack them, and it didn’t look like Jason was interested in the mana stones at all.

’I’m sure Jason doesn’t need it. He’s already strong, so what good will it do...?’

Valeria almost decided it wasn’t necessary to give Jason any stones, but after some thought, she stopped in her tracks as a strange feeling rose from deep inside her. It was a strange feeling that Valeria hadn’t experienced in a long time, and it didn’t take long for her to recognise it as guilt. Valeria actually blinked in shock when she realised this. She felt guilty for eating the stones alone? Valeria had never felt this way before, not towards any of her siblings or even her former mercenary partners. What the hell was wrong with her?

Valeria turned to Jason with a frown, like she was blaming him for making her feel this way, but in the end, Valeria took one of the larger stones and held it out for Jason. Jason turned to the stone and raised a brow at it. Valeria wasn’t looking at Jason, but it was obvious she wanted him to take it.

’Is she shy about sharing? That’s cute.’

Jason chuckled internally before he just took the stone with a smile. Jason put it between his teeth and bit down.

CRACK!

The sound of the stone breaking echoed through the boat and Jason narrowed his eyes as he turned his focus back to the battle while chewing calmly.

Jason looked over at his system tab as he killed another low level PRIMORDIAL and Jason was a little disappointed when he saw that he was barely getting more than three percent Essence from them. But Jason knew that he shouldn’t be surprised. The monsters in this world might be strong by normal standards, but Jason was one of the strongest beings in the entire world. Jason’s Essence Quantity and Purity were already close to eighty percent each, so there was no way he would be able to get a large boost to his Essence by killing these low-level grunts. Jason needed a big fish.

’And we’re almost there.’

Jason narrowed his eyes at the distance and Jason could feel his heart rate picking up as he felt the presence of a fellow PRIMORDIAL reaching out to him. Although Jason had been fighting PRIMORDIALS all this time, Jason hadn’t really felt any significant threats from them because all of them had been extremely weak, but at this moment, Jason actually felt like he was about to face off against a beast that could kill him if he wasn’t careful. Jason felt a grin stretching on his face once he realised that this had to be the boss. Jason could finally get a proper boost to his fucking Essence.

"That’s a scary look on your face. I’m guessing we’re close to the monster."

Valeria spoke up from beside Jason when she saw the way he was looking out into the horizon. Jason blinked a few times to get himself back under control before he turned to Valeria and nodded. Valeria was a TITAN, so she couldn’t feel the mana of the PRIMORDIAL that they were approaching. In fact, none of the pirates on board could tell that they had already begun entering the territory of the PRIMORDIAL beast, but the PRIMORDIAL Ranked subordinates in Jason’s Legion were getting more agitated, since they could recognise that there was an enemy.

"We’re about to enter the middle of the Ocean! We’ll be in the Kraken’s territory soon! Are you sure you still want to do this!? This is our last chance to turn back!"

The loud voice of Captain Ronna echoed through the ship as she spoke to Jason, and although she tried to make it sound like she was giving Jason a warning of what was to come, Jason knew that she was only saying all this because she wanted to get out of here as quickly as possible. If Ronna had a chance, she would turn this boat around and escape immediately, but Ronna knew that there was a higher chance of her dying at Jason’s hands if she dared to run now than her dying at the Kraken’s hands if she stayed and fought with Jason.

It was a crazy thing to think, but although the Kraken was hailed as one of the most deadly creatures you could ever encounter in the ocean, Ronna had a feeling somewhere in her heart that this man might just be able to pull this off. From what Ronna had seen so far, Jason was not ordinary, and he had the means to secure victory against almost any beast. It wasn’t crazy to hope that Jason would pull off some insane miracle in this battle.

Jason raised his left hand and pointed it forward, and that was the only signal Ronna needed. They were moving forward, and their fates were sealed!

As the ship sailed over the vast ocean, it almost felt like they were the only people left in the world. The ship crew moved towards the magic blasters positioned at the side of the ship and they all held their breaths in fear as the ocean suddenly became very, very silent. There was no sound, no movements, and no signs of any monsters. It seemed like this region had been designated a no-entry zone by every sea monster that lived close by because they knew exactly what was living here.

Valeria’s hands went to the hilt of her sword, and she held the final magic stone between her teeth as she looked around suspiciously. Since Valeria couldn’t feel PRIMORDIAL mana, she could only depend on her other senses to determine where the monster could possibly be.

Jason let out a calm breath, and he told the large sea snake Jormunga to dive down and find the kraken. Jason activated [Eye of the King] as the serpent began to dive, and Jason watched calmly as the serpent dived for about two hundred meters before it finally reached the sea floor -

’Wait... there’s no way the ocean is that shallow.’

A sudden realisation came over Jason, and the next moment, the entire world moved. A massive black eye opened and turned in the direction of the sea snake, and Jason felt his heart skip a beat as he saw the creature looking straight at him. Now, this is a fucking monster!

The water churned and bulged as the Kraken began to rise up quickly, and all the pirates cried out in fear as the ship was lifted off the water and into the air as the Kraken finally showed itself. The monster was a black abomination that looked like it belonged in the depths of hell. Its body was similar to a squid with a pointed head and one large eye in the middle that seemed to look right through you. It had eight long tentacles that wiggled and swung around erratically, and at the end of each tentacle was a massive mouth filled with jagged teeth that looked like it could tear through the entire ship in one bite.

"OH GODS HELP US!"

The pirates on the ship shouted in fear as they tried desperately to hold on for dear life. Now that the beast had shown itself, they could finally sense the intense pressure that the Kraken was letting off, and it honestly felt like they were going to get crushed from the pressure alone. The ship was slowly being lifted into the air by one of the Kraken’s long tentacles, and the pirates all screamed as another long tentacle began to head towards them, with the mouth at the end of the tentacle opening up to swallow them whole.
