Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 1088: Into The Belly of The Beast

There was no way Jason could even begin to describe just how impossibly vast this Celestial was! Its body stretched across the entire landscape from horizon to horizon, and as it moved, the land beneath it was slowly darkening as the very life was pulled out of the trees and plants!

Agiel tightened her hold on Jason’s hand, and Jason turned to see her staring at the dark cloud with wide, disbelieving eyes! Even the confident Agiel felt a sudden surge of fear pass through her when she stood in front of a creature of this size! Although neither Jason nor Agiel could feel the Celestial’s mana, they could still sense the sheer pressure coming off that black cloud, and it was easy for them to tell that this was the most powerful creature they would ever come across.

"This will work, right?"

For the first time since they formed their Soul Bond, Jason felt some doubt creeping into Agiel’s voice as she asked this question. Agiel was still staring at the Celestial with a wide-eyed gaze, and Jason hummed as he squeezed her hand back.

"Yeah, it’ll work. Just trust me."

Only those words were enough to boost Agiel’s confidence again, and Agiel’s fear immediately began to go down as she nodded in acceptance! But although Agiel thought Jason was just trying to boost her morale, Jason was actually telling the truth! Jason knew without a doubt that this would work!

Jason glanced to the side, and he saw the notification tab that opened there.

Due to a high level of understanding, the user is capable of negating the inherent Celestial power [Instant Death] while the skill [Erasure of Origin] is active. But the system is not capable of analysing the effectiveness of [Erasure of Origin] against the Celestial of Death’s true body. The user must get much closer to the Celestial’s true body in order to carry out further analysis.

The user must remember that he is doing battle against a Celestial. As one of the highest forms of existence in the Primordial Expanse, they cannot be killed by normal means. Even the skill [Erasure of Origin] is incapable of fully killing a Celestial.

Jason frowned when he heard this, and he asked the system what it meant by this. If they couldn’t kill the Celestial with [Erasure of Origin], then what would [Erasure of Origin] do against a Celestial? The system brought up a new tab immediately:

As a power that transcends the laws of magic, [Erasure of Origin] is capable of bypassing the magical defences held by a Celestial. This will allow the user to effectively banish a Celestial away from the mortal plane and force them to ascend into the Celestial Plane.

Jason’s brow raised in shock when he read this! Jason remembered the system telling him about the Celestial Plane before! It was basically a dimension outside of the Primordial Expanse where Celestials were meant to live. If a Celestial was banished up there, was it possible for them to come back down to the world of mortals? Jason asked this to the system, and the system brought up another tab.

It is technically possible for the Celestial to reappear within the world of mortals, but for that to happen, the Celestial will need to recreate a new body and consume an enormous volume of Celestial Mana to open the Veil leading into the Primordial Expanse. This can take multiple centuries to complete.

Jason immediately grinned once he saw this message! This was perfect! This meant that it was easy for Jason to send the Celestial up there, but it was nearly impossible for them to come back down! There was still a possibility that the Celestial could return, but Jason knew that before the Celestial ever came back, Jason would’ve already become strong enough to face it head-on! This was perfect!

Jason let out a long breath, and he glanced towards the [Level of Understanding] tabs again. Although Jason’s understanding of death was very high, the only thing it could help him do was to negate the instant death effect that would happen whenever you were covered by the dark cloud. If Jason wanted to actually attack death itself, then he would need to go into the belly of the beast and learn more about the Celestial of Death! Jason felt a plan coming together in his head, but Jason knew deep in his heart that this was all a gamble. If Jason went into the Celestial and he didn’t gain enough of an understanding of the Celestial of Death quickly enough, then there was nothing [Erasure of Origin] would be able to do!

But Jason was willing to take that risk! Jason was not a superstitious person, and Jason knew deep in his heart that he would not die here.

’Good luck, babe.’

Gina’s voice came through their mental link, and Jason smiled when he heard her. Gina had been sending Jason messages all this time, telling him to be careful, and Jason kept telling Gina that he would be fine.

’I’ll deal with this quickly and get back immediately. I promise.’

Gina smiled when she heard this from Jason, and she wished him luck again before closing down their mental link. Once the call ended, Jason narrowed his eyes at the celestial and spoke to Agiel.

"We need to reach the center of the cloud."

Agiel turned to look at Jason in surprise, and for a moment she wondered if Jason was pulling her leg! All this time, Agiel never thought that they would enter the cloud! Agiel hoped they could just activate the skill from a distance like they did with the Mind Corruption! But when she saw the serious expression on Jason’s face, Agiel realised that he wasn’t joking! Agiel turned and watched the multiple plants and trees that were shriveling up and dying once they came in contact with the cloud, and Agiel could feel a little nervousness rising through her at the thought of going in there.

Once Jason felt this nervousness through their link, Jason squeezed Agiel’s hand in support and gave her a confident look, and Agiel felt all her nervousness vanishing. Just that one look from Jason was enough to give Agiel enough confidence to do anything! Agiel nodded and told Jason that she was ready, and Jason smiled! The two partners walked forward through the valley, and they headed towards the cloud while activating their innate skill!

[Erasure of Origin]!

There was no outward reaction to show that the skill had activated, but both Jason and Agiel could feel their magic swirling around them in a protective cocoon, and they both knew that they could no longer be harmed by the innate magic of the Celestial Cloud.

The cloud approached like a storm, and it slowly blocked out the sun and cast the world around them in eternal darkness! As it approached, the pressure in the region grew until it was nearly unbearable for Agiel to withstand! Jason released some of his Primordial mana and used it as a shield to make sure Agiel didn’t face the full celestial mana, and although it didn’t do much, it was enough for Agiel to move freely, and they both continued forward as they were eventually consumed by the dark cloud.
