The Crown Princess contacts Ethan and Rina, requesting help to escape the Imperial Capital with her son, Prince Charles. The capital is under the control of aristocratic families, making any escape attempt dangerous. Ethan considers the request, weighing the risks and his past grievances with the Royal Family against the plight of the innocent Crown Princess and Prince.

Mira was sitting in the garden with her two children, watching them play on the soft grass. Her daughter, Elia, was the elder of the two, while her younger daughter, Nia, was still small enough to stumble whenever she tried to run too quickly. Mira kept a close eye on both of them, smiling whenever they came close to her.

"Slow down, Nia. Don't run so fast."

Nia stopped for a moment and looked back at her mother before giving a small nod. She then carefully walked toward the flowerbed, while Elia followed behind her.

Mira smiled and reached out to fix Elia's messy hair.

"Your hair is getting messy again."

Elia giggled and tried to fix it herself, but only made it worse.

Mira could not help but laugh softly. She pulled her daughter closer and gently arranged her hair before wiping a little dirt from her cheek.

"You two really know how to keep me busy."

The children happily continued playing while Mira watched them. Now and then, she would give them some fruit, wipe their hands, or stop Nia from putting something she found on the ground into her mouth. Her expression remained gentle as she cared for them.

For Mira, these peaceful moments were precious.

After everything that had happened outside, being able to sit here with her children without worrying about danger was enough to make her happy.

Then suddenly, she felt a presence.

Mira's hand stopped in the middle of reaching toward Nia.

The air around them changed slightly.

Elia and Nia also stopped playing.

Both children turned toward the same direction.

A familiar figure slowly appeared at the edge of the garden.

For a moment, the children simply stared.

Then their eyes widened.

"Father!"

"Papap!"

The two children immediately forgot everything else.

They turned around and started running toward Ethan with all their strength.

Mira stood up with a surprised smile as she watched them.

"Wait, don't run too fast!"

But neither child listened.

Ethan smiled when he saw them coming toward him. He opened his arms and lowered himself slightly.

"Come here."

Elia reached him first and grabbed his leg.

"Father!"

Nia arrived a moment later and hugged his other leg.

"Papa!"

Ethan laughed softly and bent down.

He picked Elia up with one arm and Nia with the other. Both children immediately wrapped their small arms around his neck.

"Did you miss me?"

"Yes!"

Elia nodded quickly.

Nia also nodded while holding onto his shoulder.

Ethan lifted them higher, making the two children laugh happily.

Mira stood a short distance away and watched the scene with a warm smile. She could see the tiredness that still remained on Ethan's face, but the moment he saw his children, it seemed to disappear.

Ethan looked toward Mira while holding both children.

"Looks like you three were having fun without me."

Mira walked closer and gently touched Nia's hair.

"We were. But they have been asking about you every day."

Ethan looked at the two children.

"Really?"

Elia nodded seriously.

"Father was gone for too long."

Ethan's smile became softer.

"I'm sorry."

He kissed Elia on the forehead and then gently kissed Nia's head.

"I'm here now."

...…..

Ethan played with the two children for a while, letting them climb over him and pull at his clothes while he patiently followed their games. After some time, he gently handed them over to the maids.

"Take them outside for a while. Let them play in the garden."

The maids immediately nodded and took the children with them. Elia looked back at Ethan before leaving, while Nia waved her little hand.

"Bye, Father!"

Ethan smiled and waved back.

"Go and play."

Once the children disappeared from sight, Mira's expression slowly changed. The warmth on her face faded, and a trace of solemnity appeared in her eyes as she turned toward Ethan.

"Is there something serious?"

Ethan nodded.

"Yes."

He reached into his storage space and handed her the messages he had received.

Mira did not waste any time. She immediately took the documents and started reading. At first, her expression remained calm, but the more she read, the more her eyes changed. A faint light appeared in them, and her fingers tightened around the paper.

Ethan quietly watched her.

Looking at Mira like this reminded him of the time when she had first entered his life.

Back then, he had selected Mira and four other women from families that were willing to trade them away in exchange for benefits. But Mira had been different. She had actively searched for a way out of Halcrest.

Halcrest had taken several benefits from them in exchange for giving Mira away. She had grown up in a harsh environment and had been born to a concubine who had died when Mira was still young. Because of that, Mira had always carried a deep desire to get back at Halcrest.

When she had first come to him, she had even taken the initiative to seek him out. Unlike the other women, who had been timid and afraid of him at first, Mira had been much more direct.

She had wanted freedom.

She had wanted a chance to settle her past.

And now that chance has finally appeared."The chance for you to act upon is here."

Ethan folded his arms and gave her a meaningful gaze.

"The time has come. I want to know your opinion."

Mira stopped reading.

She lowered the documents and fell into deep thought.

The women in the Blank Estate had never been treated as mere shelter. They were given freedom, and everyone was allowed to take part in whatever they wanted to do. Mira had also become involved in the family's affairs and had learned enough about the current situation to understand the danger.

After a while, she slowly spoke.

"Even if we act and want to clear them, it won't be easy. There would always be remnants, and we don't have the means to identify them all."

She looked down at the documents again.

"People who might escape the net might harbor ill intentions toward us. They might not be able to harm us, but what about the kids?"
