Damon arrives in the Sky Continent with his daughter Ranar. After struggling to find suitable accommodations and realizing his shadow clone is gone, he attempts to return to Soltheon. Upon arriving in the capital city of Valtheron, Damon discovers it's celebrating Lord Ravenscroft's wedding to Emilia Highgon. He attends the ceremony, where he is revealed to be alive, much to everyone's surprise. When Ranar cries out, Damon deflects suspicion by claiming she belongs to Evangeline, a statement that catches Evangeline completely off guard.
