Routine naval patrols are disrupted when mysterious, armored figures emerge from Mist Valley and attack the Colombian warships. These formidable beings, resembling ancient Gatekeepers, effortlessly destroy drones and slice a super warship in half, demonstrating overwhelming power against the surprised navy.

These warships, possessing some of the most powerful technology on the planet, were no sturdier than paper in front of those long-tailed humanoid creatures.

The Black-and-White Armor commander led the Cyan Armor warriors, swiftly and devastatingly dismantling those warships.

There was no slaughter for sport, no playful cruelty. They had no interest whatsoever in anything aboard those ships. So after rapidly destroying the vessels and killing the soldiers, they flew back to report to the five Silver Armor.

The five Silver Armor exchanged glances, communicating briefly in a voice akin to whispers.

Then, they transformed into five streaks of silver light, flying off in different directions.

Behind them, the Black-and-White Armor and Cyan Armor followed closely.

Among them, a unit of nearly a hundred headed straight for the Colombia naval base.

The other units pointed directly toward the landmass in the northwest.

...

East China Sea Major Region.

The intelligence department received reports from the warships around the Mist Valley and immediately entered a state of alert, also notifying the high command.

However, at that moment, Supreme Commander Li Guangxiao was fast asleep.

When the message reached his quarters, the guard merely glanced at it and said, "Reports of changes around the Mist Valley should be forwarded to the other high-ranking officers first. The Commander just fell asleep. Don't disturb his rest."

Nothing was more important than the rest of a Major Region's supreme commander.

Besides, three years had passed since the apocalypse began. News from the Mist Valley on Star Island arrived at regular intervals, and they had long grown accustomed to it.

Most critically, Star Island was still a considerable distance away. Even if something went wrong, it wouldn't affect East Sea City anytime soon.

The intelligence officers were helpless. Even though they understood from the warships' transmissions that an extremely urgent situation was unfolding out there.

But in this place, being good at navigating office politics always mattered more than being good at your job. If they somehow annoyed the supreme commander, even a job well done wouldn't guarantee they wouldn't be punished later for stepping through the door with the wrong foot first.

So this urgent intelligence report circulated among the various high-ranking officers, with the night duty personnel handling it.

But at that time, the creatures from beneath the Mist Valley had struck too quickly. The warship had only managed to send a single, insufficiently detailed report, and they hadn't taken it too seriously.

By the time the matter had been passed around among the high command and finally caught the attention of a Navy Rear Admiral, a Silver Armor leading over a hundred subordinates had already descended upon the distant horizon.

East Sea City's military radar could detect any large vessel operating within a thousand-mile radius.

But for relatively small humanoid creatures like these, the radar couldn't achieve that level of precision.

In the dead of night, the Silver Armor Transcendent led his subordinates to East Sea City.

A large number of warships were docked in the sea, soldiers patrolled as usual during the night, and the city stood like an indestructible fortress, its walls forged from seven or eight meters of reinforced steel and concrete.

The Silver Armor hovered in mid-air, observing all of this like someone admiring a sandcastle built by children.

He flew forward very calmly, directly above East Sea City, his gaze sweeping across the entire metropolis.

Thanks to the new energy source, buildings in East Sea City remained brightly lit even at night.

The residential areas for ordinary people had long gone dark, settled into slumber.

But in the districts where the powerful and wealthy lived, the glow of revelry persisted.

The Silver Armor watched all of this, yet merely floated there silently in the sky. As if he had come only as a sightseer, not for any other purpose.

But he was too close, hovering just five hundred meters above East Sea City.

That distance was more than enough for the city's defense forces to spot him and his subordinates.

In an instant, the roar of gunfire and cannons erupted, streaks of fire shooting up from below, aimed directly at the Silver Armor and the troops behind him.

The Silver Armor glanced down. He made no move whatsoever, and a Cyan Armor warrior instantly blocked the front, spreading both hands to form an invisible barrier that absorbed all the incoming fire.

"Hmm..."

That sound came from the Silver Armor's throat, as if he were displeased at having his good mood disturbed.

He no longer bothered looking at the scenery of East Sea City. Instead, with a flash, he descended onto the towering city wall, dozens of meters high.

He let the munitions pound against his body, but they could only throw up a string of sparks, utterly failing to breach his defenses.

"BOOM!!"

He crashed onto the city wall like a cannonball. By now, a large number of defense troops were already rushing toward this location.

Though they didn't know who the intruder was, under the law, anyone approaching East Sea City without authorization was to be killed on sight!

Looking at those fully armed human soldiers, the Silver Armor slowly raised his right hand.

The next moment, the bodies of those human soldiers underwent a visible change, one by one swelling up like balloons.

"POP!" "POP!" "POP!" "POP!"

One human soldier after another exploded inside their combat suits, like watermelons bursting open after being scorched by the summer sun.

Blood slowly seeped out through the seams of their clothing. And those viscous, crimson fluids seemed to possess a life of their own, transforming into wispy threads of blood that flew toward the Silver Armor.

"Open fire, open fire!!"

A squad leader roared furiously, ordering every soldier to unleash everything they had. He knew he was facing a powerful Transcendent.

But so what? This was East Sea City, one of the strongest military regions in the Huaxu Nation!

Any Transcendent who dared to invade would face certain death!

He had already reported the situation to the high command, and soon, more powerful Transcendents would arrive as reinforcements.

Just as he was screaming and pulling the trigger, desperately wanting to empty every bullet into that Silver Armor Transcendent in a single instant.

"POP!"

His body exploded without any warning whatsoever!

Dull, muffled detonations rang out in rapid succession. Within just a few seconds, over a hundred soldiers on the wall had died in that bizarre fashion.

No warning, no sign. Just sudden, explosive death!

Then their blood turned into crimson threads that flew toward the Silver Armor Transcendent.

That blood gathered in the Silver Armor's palm, quickly condensing into a massive sphere of blood.

Meanwhile, the warriors behind him remained completely motionless, as if waiting for their commander to finish his performance.

To be fair, the soldiers of the East China Sea Major Region displayed remarkable military discipline. Even in the face of such a terrifying situation, not a single one retreated.

Soon, a group of Transcendents wearing deep blue combat suits arrived on the battlefield.

The Sea Dragon Corps!

The Transcendent unit exclusive to the East China Sea Major Region.

"Who dares to be so audacious, causing trouble in East Sea City! Today, all of you—"

An imposing Transcendent was just about to deliver his entrance speech, but before he could even finish his sentence, his body burst apart just like the ordinary soldiers before him!
