The members of Gregor Mansion react with shock and awe as their Master reveals his advancement to Magic Lord. While contemplating their own progress, Otto requests to train outside the mansion. The Master agrees, allowing members to leave and train in satellite cities after a trip to Crystal City, though their freedom is still bound by crimson chains. Meanwhile, the Master prepares to meet Elder Charlotte and a Forbidden Level Healer.

Magic City

The news about the Silver Tower began to spread across the Magic City territory like wildfire, especially since the wizard families and other wizard organizations have their own networks to gather intel.

They quickly received the news about the Silver Tower and learned that Forbidden Wizard Erwin had returned. Along with him was someone wearing a mask.

The masked man possessed the strength of a Magic Lord, but his identity remained unknown. The last person they knew who wore a mask to hide his face was none other than Supreme Wizard Vincent Carey.

They were aware that Supreme Wizard Vincent Carey was currently not in the city. He was presumably on a mission outside the Mage Union Territory.

They covertly sent more spies to the Wizard Tower Area, unable to act openly without angering the other wizard towers there.

Meanwhile, the news reached the ears of the higher-ups in the Black Tower. They were shocked; the revelation came as a thunderbolt to them.

They hadn’t expected Forbidden Wizard Erwin to return alive because they had inside information. The Forbidden Wizards and Elder-level higher-ups, in particular, knew about his disappearance.

They had thought that the enemy had trapped Forbidden Wizard Erwin in their territory. They were expecting the Silver Tower or the Mage Union to act.

They hadn’t received any news of the Silver Tower dispatching help, leaving them totally confused. They immediately sent their own spies to verify the reports.

Forbidden Wizard Erwin is one of the pillars of the Silver Tower. If anything bad happened to him, it would be a huge blow to the faction.

The Black Tower hated the Silver Tower and had been expecting bad news, especially since they had information about the Covenant Organization.

The enemy organization had already caused massive damage to the Mage Union, yet for some reason, the Union had not acted.

Just as they were expecting something bad to happen to Forbidden Wizard Erwin, this news came as a complete shock.

The Black Tower was not the only one paying attention to the matter; the Red Tower and other Elemental Towers were monitoring the situation as well.

The Silver Tower is the second strongest tower among the Wizard Towers. If the Silver Tower were to be weakened, another Wizard Tower might take its place.

The Red Tower is the strongest among them. It has fewer members, but all of them are powerful. A single Red Tower member can overwhelm a bottom-level Wizard Tower.

Yet, they respected Forbidden Wizard Erwin. Unlike the Black Tower, they harbored no ill intentions toward the Silver Tower.

Knowing that Forbidden Wizard Erwin had safely returned, they felt relieved and decided to send representatives to the family later.

The Mage Union was keeping a watch over everyone. When Forbidden Wizard Erwin and Magic Lord Vincent Carey entered the Magic City, they knew it immediately and were already aware of their identities.

Not only did Forbidden Wizard Erwin’s return shock them, but they were also equally stunned by the news of Vincent Carey’s breakthrough to become a Magic Lord.

They didn’t know how he had become a Magic Lord, though they knew about the mission he had taken up.

Elder Dana had already reported to them that the Mage Union was facing danger from the enemy Covenant Organization.

The higher-ups kept updated on the talented wizards under them. Vincent Carey had been a Supreme Wizard before he left for his mission.

Now that he had become a Magic Lord, he was an official member and could represent the Mage Union as well. They sent a summons to Elder Dana.

The news also reached the ears of the families connected to the Silver Tower, especially the Nicholson, Cox, and Park families.

The news brought them huge relief. Being connected to the Silver Tower, their families would have been directly affected if it had weakened.

...

Silver Tower

A white aircraft landed before the Silver Tower. The cabin door opened the next moment, and a middle-aged woman walked out.

The middle-aged woman was none other than Forbidden Wizard Charlotte. She had brought an old man to the Silver Tower with her.

The old man was a Forbidden Wizard-level Healer who had been to the Silver Tower before. Charlotte felt the presence of the spies near the tower.

She ignored them and brought the Healer inside the Silver Tower. As they entered the lobby, her gaze fell on Vincent Carey.

Charlotte felt the mana presence of a Magic Lord.

At the same time, I saw Elder Charlotte and the old man and stood up from the sofa.

Swoosh!

Elder Charlotte appeared in front of me, observing me from top to bottom. Her eyes widened in shock.

"You have become a Magic Lord for real," Charlotte said, her voice filled with surprise.

The old man standing nearby was shocked as well. He didn’t recognize the young man at first, but then recalled seeing him before.

Then, it struck him. He remembered the young man’s name was Vincent Carey. The last time he had seen him, the young man’s strength was only at the Supreme Wizard level.

Now that he had become a Magic Lord, the old man shared in the shock, realizing he had underestimated the young man’s talent.

"Yes, I got a breakthrough opportunity during the mission," I replied.

Charlotte said, "Good, you have become a Magic Lord at the right time. Your help might be needed in the coming battle."

"Battle?" I asked.

"I’ll tell you later," Charlotte said.

Charlotte then collected her thoughts and asked, "What happened to Forbidden Wizard Erwin?"

"He has hidden injuries. He is in his room right now," I replied.

"Okay, we will go and see him," Charlotte said.

She turned toward the old man, who nodded. Then, they headed toward Forbidden Wizard Erwin’s room.

By this time, Manager Lara had arrived. Seeing that Vincent Carey was sitting alone on the sofa, she asked him what had happened.

I told her that Forbidden Wizard Charlotte and the Healer had gone to Forbidden Wizard Erwin’s room.
