I kept looking at the 10th-order monsters. I could tell that the monster octopuses were frozen in fear.

"System, what’s going on?" I asked the system.

[Ding! The 11th-Order Monster Deterrence is working on the lower 10th-order monsters.]

I heard the system’s voice in my mind. My eyes flashed with understanding. No wonder I felt like I could deal with them without using a magic spell.

A flash of anger appeared in my eyes. It made the deterrence more powerful. The five 10th-order octopuses were even more scared now.

They had intelligence. The crisis of death had enveloped their hearts and minds.

Seeing that the Whale Deterrence was working, I took a pause from the spell model. The next second, the natural deterrence was turned off.

The 10th-order monsters broke free from the chokehold. They felt like they had been given a pardon. The next second, the giant octopuses fled from the place.

In the blink of an eye, they disappeared into the deep sea.

At the same time, the zero puppet had finished recording. It felt that it would be useful for future reference. On the other hand, the activity of the magic puppet didn’t go unnoticed by my eyes.

Hearing the system’s voice in my mind, I gained some clarity in my thoughts. Then, I decided to leave and head back to the surface.

Just then, my senses picked up a threat signal. I frowned and turned toward one direction. I saw something approaching.

I could see tentacle-like forearms around it. I recognized that it was another octopus monster. But the size of the monster was over 40 feet tall.

It was larger than the previous 10th-order monsters.

When the giant monster octopus got closer, I realized it was not a 10th-order monster, but an 11th-order monster. No wonder I felt a threat earlier.

Boom!

The giant monster attacked right away. One of its arms shot at me.

My mouth curved into an arc. I was wondering where to use the new magic spell model.

I cast the new magic spell. The whale outline of the spell model reacted. The mana flowed into the new magic route.

A big magic circle appeared above the giant 11th-order monster. The magic circle was dark gray in color.

The next second, a tremendous pressure fell on the giant octopus. The powerful gravitational force locked the body of the giant octopus.

The 11th-order monster was stuck. It could not move its forearms or its whole body. Its muscles and skin began to tear under the pressure.

Blood splattered across the ground. The blood of the giant monster was a dark purple fluid.

A long silence filled the area. No other monsters were nearby.

The 11th-order monster was not able to make any sound. It could feel that it was locked up by the spell attack of a human.

It wanted to break free from the lock. But it could not move an inch. The eight arms of the monster were frozen in the sea.

Its skin and flesh were torn apart. The organs of the monster were failing under the pressure.

On the other hand, I saw that the giant monster was completely locked. It was bleeding from all over its body.

The dark purple fluid was leaking from the wounds. It was the first time I was using the magic spell without any stacking against a Magic Lord.

As time went by, I saw the 11th-order monster being crushed and dying slowly. It didn’t take long for the whole monster to get squashed.

The mana crystal inside the 11th-order monster cracked. The crystal exploded under the pressure.

A deafening noise sounded. The explosion blasted the 11th-order monster into pieces. The bloody body parts scattered across the seabed.

Seeing that, I dismissed the magic spell. The dark gray magic circle above the monster disappeared.

I nodded my head in satisfaction. It was time to go back. So, I brought the zero puppet back to the mid-sized lake.

Swoosh!

We moved through the passage and appeared above the surface of the lake water. I stood in mid-air and began to experience the surroundings.

It was totally different from under the sea. I could feel the mana in the surroundings. It was multicolored. Not only that, but I also found the space layers.

A quick gleam appeared in my eyes. If I could use the space layers, then I could return to the magic city faster.

My heart filled with curiosity. It was time to use the space layers for travel. I had seen the Magic Lords and Forbidden Wizards using them before.

The next second, I tried to touch the space layer in the surroundings. I felt a sudden pull. I didn’t hesitate and let it happen.

My body went through the space layer.

The next second, I found myself in a different spot. I looked around and saw the sea down below.

It was an endless stretching sea. So, I spread my mental power to cover the place.

It didn’t take long for me to find other islands. I recognized those islands because they were resource points.

I remembered seeing them during my first journey. I recalled passing them at that time.

I began to analyze. It could be a couple of miles away from the previous island.

In order to confirm, I used the space layers once again. My body continued to go through one space layer after another.

A few minutes later,

I found myself near the land. The city belonged to the wave nation. If it were earlier, it would have taken me a couple of hours to get here.

After becoming a Magic Lord, I had returned to the seafaring nation in a few minutes. If I continued at the same pace, then I could get back to the Magic City in a few days.

After figuring this out, I didn’t stop. I resumed using the space layers for travel.

The magic lords in the wave nation felt the movements in the skies. They knew the space layers were being disturbed. They stopped their work and observed the skies.

When the feeling was gone, they resumed their work.
