Vincent briefs his team about the Black Mists Forbidden Land, a place unknown to even seasoned wizards. While Caitlin vaguely recalls the name, Vincent prepares for the mission by ordering supplies, including high-grade food for his magical beasts. Meanwhile, wizards from the Black and Elemental Towers, seeking revenge and information, dispatch spies to monitor Vincent.

Magic City

The cab was going towards the central plaza. I was looking through the window.

Right after, a few more cars followed us. They had probably left the Magic Tower area.

I narrowed my eyes. I didn’t want these people following me. I had plenty of ways to leave the Magic City.

But I needed to find out which group was targeting me. I had just gotten my revenge by targeting the Darkmoon City trafficking.

There was no problem against them now. But if they sent someone after me, then I would remember them.

Ten minutes later,

The cab driver dropped me at the location. After stepping out, I paid the fare to the driver before disappearing into the crowd.

Many cars stopped at the location. The spies exited the cars and entered the crowd to find Vincent Carey.

It didn’t take long for the news to reach the Four Supreme Wizards of the Black Tower.

Knowing that Vincent Carey had left the Silver Tower again, they were curious to know the details.

Then they learned that Vincent Carey had gone to the central plaza again. They were confused; they didn’t know Vincent Carey’s next plan.

Since he had come to the central plaza, they thought he might have other business. They didn’t take it too seriously. They told the spies to keep informing them.

A similar thing happened with the spies from other forces. They were told to keep monitoring him.

They could not target or take action against a Magic Tower member. It was not allowed.

For Black Tower Wizards, especially doing something here—it was too risky.

They could be punished by the Mage Union. Furthermore, they were doing this on their own without the knowledge of the Black Tower.

They had only the support of the families behind them.

Meanwhile,

I made my way out of the crowd and went to the airship station. I made sure that no one was following me. I had shielded my mana presence with the system.

They could not find me unless they saw me with their own eyes. After getting rid of the group, I didn’t go to the office directly.

I went to an isolated spot and brought the zero puppet outside first. I ordered the zero puppet to watch over the surroundings.

"If anyone comes looking for me, knock them out. But if you come across a Forbidden Wizard, return ASAP," I said.

"And you should report to me every ten minutes," I added.

The zero puppet obeyed the order.

It was in its red smoke form. Then, the red smoke left the place. I brought Otto outside next.

Otto appeared. Upon seeing me, he greeted me.

"Otto, go to the airship station and buy a ticket. If they ask for ID, bribe them or scare them. Do whatever it takes and get the ticket," I said to Otto.

Hearing that, Otto’s face changed dramatically.

"Master, what happened?" Otto asked.

"Is there any way I can help?" he added.

"I’m going to find some rats. Don’t overthink it," I replied.

"It’s the usual headache. Get the ticket first. It’s at the place next to the building," I added.

Otto received the order. I gave him a few mid-grade mana stones, which were enough for one ticket. Otto then left the place to buy the ticket.

I looked around and found a bench to sit down on. I leaned against the bench and began to wait for Otto to come back.

While waiting, I wondered who was taking action right now. Last time, Forbidden Wizard Remi took action all of a sudden.

Fortunately, I was in the Crystal City shop during that time. I knew what was going on around me.

Right now, I had come here not only to buy the airship ticket, but to find out whether any Forbidden Wizards or Magic Lords were after me.

Meanwhile, the zero puppet in its red smoke form was patrolling the area around its master.

It didn’t take long for the zero puppet to come across two strange people. They were not walking straight.

Instead, they were observing the building. The zero puppet slipped behind them without letting them know.

"What are we even doing here?"

"We should check the places around the plaza," the first person said.

"Someone saw the masked man going in this direction. We are here to verify the facts," the second person replied.

The zero puppet heard their conversation. It confirmed the fact that they were heading in the direction where its master was waiting.

Smack!

The next second, the zero puppet knocked them out one by one. Then, it dragged the bodies into the next alley.

The zero puppet then went through their belongings and collected everything. It then returned to continue monitoring.

Meanwhile,

Otto arrived at the office. He then spoke with the staff to buy a ticket. The staff quoted the price: fifty mid-grade mana stones for one ticket.

"When are you departing?" the staff asked.

"Is it possible to get on the next ship?" Otto asked.

"Let me check." After saying that, the staff began to check the database.

"Yes, we have an airship departing in ten minutes," the staff said.

"Then I want a ticket for that ship," Otto said.

"Give me your ID," the staff said.

"Well, it’s not for me. It’s for someone else," Otto told the staff.

He was worried that the staff might not agree, but he was wrong.

The staff said, "Then you have to pay fifty more."

Hearing that, Otto didn’t bargain and handed over the fifty mid-grade mana stones.

The staff smiled and accepted them. He then handed over the ticket.

"You have to hurry. The ship won’t wait for anyone," the staff said.

Otto took the ticket and nodded. He then left the place and rushed towards his master’s side.

A few minutes later,

Otto returned with the ticket. Seeing that, I smiled. He didn’t disappoint me.

"It went smoothly. The staff accepted the bribe," Otto replied.

After saying that, he said that there were only ten minutes left until departure.

"Good," I uttered.

Then, I put Otto back into the mansion.

Soon, the zero puppet came to report. It told me that two people were looking for me, and that it had knocked them out.
