After coming back to the room, I made a list of the items that I wanted and sent it to Manager Lara right away.

Then I appeared inside the mansion and summoned everyone. Everyone gathered and sat down in their seats.

I began to brief them about the mission. They needed to know about the mission; that way, if they needed anything, I could get it right away.

Otto, Patrick, Hank, and old man Rock were pondering. They were hearing of the Black Mists Forbidden Land for the first time.

They were old wizards, but they didn’t know about the forbidden area.

I saw through their thoughts; they didn’t know about the place. Then I turned toward Lady Caitlin. Lady Caitlin was a Magic Lord.

Maybe her contacts knew about the place.

Caitlin recalled having heard the name before, but she couldn’t recall exact details now.

She honestly said, "I have heard of this name from someone, but I can’t recall details now. If I recollect it, I will tell you."

Then I nodded my head. The meeting ended. I told them to go back to their rooms. Next, I went to the basement to check.

The Skycroc and Vine Monster were there. They were asleep, but they woke up upon sensing my presence.

"Roar!"

The Skycroc made a noise. The vine monster moved its vines as well. These two were magic monsters.

"I know you guys want food. I’m going to send it to you later." After saying that, I left the place.

Then I appeared back in the room. I texted Manager Lara to get monster pet food. I told her about the monster types and the grade of food that I needed.

I needed Grade-10 or above. I immediately got a reply back from her. She was shocked to read that I needed Grade-10 resources for the monster pets.

I texted back, saying to deduct it from my resources. I also texted her to buy more healing resources.

She then texted back, saying okay.

Fortunately, these two monsters were not rare. Their food could be found in the magic city. Next, I began to make other preparations.

Black Tower

The news about Vincent Carey didn’t die down. There were people in the Black Tower who were interested in the information gathered by Vincent Carey.

They were aware that Vincent Carey didn’t have a background, but they had the support of their families and the elders in the tower.

As long as they were able to find Supreme Wizard Vincent outside the territory of the Magic City, they could easily confront him to get information from him.

So they had sent spies to keep an eye on the Silver Tower. These people were the Supreme Wizards of the Black Tower. They were four in number.

They were working on the mission to investigate the Covenant, but they got nothing in return. Instead, they had lost the lives of their followers in the fight.

It also cost them resources. If they wanted to make up for it, they had to get the lead. They had tried other ways, but they failed.

However, they were able to get inside information from the Magic Lords. They knew who was doing well in this mission, including the people from the other towers.

So they got to know about Vincent Carey from them. The four of them discussed with their families back home to send wizards to the border.

If Vincent Carey left, they should be able to know.

Not only had the Black Tower wizards taken action, but the Elemental Tower wizards were also keeping an eye on the Silver Tower.

The Green Elemental Tower and the Flame Elemental Tower were the ones who held hatred toward Vincent Carey.

He had made them lose face more than once. They wanted revenge for that. Last time, Vincent Carey had left easily.

They weren’t able to do anything then.

Manager Lara purchased all the items mentioned on the list. After returning to the Silver Tower, she called Vincent Carey.

A few minutes later,

I left my room and went to the lobby. I met Manager Lara in the lobby. She took the items from her storage bracelet and placed them on the table.

One by one, all the important items appeared on the table, including the monster food.

My gaze swept past everything. I used the system to check whether everything was there. After getting the system’s confirmation, I put the items inside the system space.

"Here, these are your monthly resources." After saying that, she put out more than 20 mana pouches on the desk.

Seeing that, my eyes gleamed with a twinkle.

"Each of them contains 100,000 Super-grade mana stones," Manager Lara said.

Hearing that, I thanked Manager Lara before putting the mana pouches inside the system space. I thought it was okay now; it was time to leave.

I looked at Manager Lara and said, "I’m leaving right now."

Manager Lara’s expression shifted. She got serious and said, "Okay, be careful. Before coming here, I noticed the activity of spies outside. They might want to collect information on you."

I raised my eyebrows. I was not surprised by the information, because it always happened.

"I’ll take care of it." After saying that, I put a mask on my face.

"I wish I had a communication artifact. It wouldn’t be disturbed by the mana disruption," Lara said.

"If I find one, I’ll bring it to you. I do want to know what’s happening here," I replied.

Then I bid goodbye to her before leaving the Silver Tower. I came outside and didn’t use the raven aircraft.

Instead, I was curious to know who was targeting me. I recalled Lord Charlotte’s words. Manager Lara had said that the Black Tower could be targeting me.

I started walking on foot toward the main street. It didn’t take long for me to feel the piercing gazes on me.

There were people walking by. Upon seeing me, they started walking as well. I ignored them and arrived at the main street.

But I used the system to keep count.

Then I began to wait for a cab to come. It didn’t take long for the cab to stop. I hopped inside and told the driver to go to the Central Plaza.
