Lord Charlotte calmed her heart. She wanted to check Vincent Carey’s progress, because Elder Dana, Lord Erwin, and she were interested in his growth.
But Vincent’s growth left her speechless. She understood that all he needed were resources for Gravity Magic to develop his mana core.
She then stopped observing him and said, "Sit."
Hearing that, my eyebrows eased down, and I sat down on the sofa opposite her.
"I’m impressed with your rate of progress. Earlier, I was worried when I heard the news of Celeste and others becoming Magic Lords," she said.
"But I have changed my mind after seeing you. You are actually one step ahead of them. All you need are the gravity magic resources," she added.
She didn’t mention a word about Forbidden Magic, but she believed Vincent Carey understood the meaning.
At the same time, my heart was beating fast. I understood her words. She must have figured something out.
"System, what did you find?" I asked the system in my mind.
[Ding! The Forbidden Wizard probed the Gravity Rule in the mana core space and Mana Core. Finally, the Forbidden Runes in the host’s bones.]
I heard the answer. Then my eyes flickered with understanding. She knew my situation right now.
"Lord Charlotte, you are right. I need gravity magic resources. It’s been a long time since I consumed one. I have been managing the practice with Super-grade mana stones," I said to her.
"I understand now. Fortunately, Elder Dana and I were looking out for Gravity Magic Resources. We were each able to find something," she said to me.
A hint of surprise appeared in my eyes.
Charlotte saw through his thoughts.
She said, "It’s also the reward for the recent mission."
After saying that, she took out a storage container. It was a square blue box. It had less space than the storage bracelet.
She placed the blue box on the table.
"You can take it and store it in your bracelet. We have to discuss the mission now," she said to me.
I nodded to her before storing the blue box inside the bracelet.
Right then, Manager Lara entered. Charlotte had summoned her as well. Lara was the Manager of the Silver Tower. She needed to be aware of what was going on with the members.
Lara sat on the sofa. She nodded to both of us.
"You might have heard from her. Lord Erwin went to the Black Mists Forbidden Land for an investigation. The mission was given to him by Elder Dana," she said.
"Elder Dana suspects that place is connected to the Covenant. Lord Erwin went there to find evidence. But later he sent a request for help before going offline."
"We used other resources to gather information, but there has been no luck so far. We didn’t want to share the news with the other two factions for the time being."
"We have decided to use your help before that," Lord Charlotte said.
Hearing that, I digested the information. But I confirmed using the system that there was no one else listening to their conversation.
I didn’t know why we were discussing such an important matter out in the open in the lobby. I looked around.
Charlotte said, "Don’t bother about it. I have booked the lobby for the meeting, so no one is here right now."
Hearing that, I was stunned. I didn’t know we could do that.
Lara shook her head upon seeing Vincent Carey’s casual attitude.
"Lord, why not Forbidden Wizards? Even the Magic Lords could do the mission. They are stronger than me," I asked her.
Sigh!
Charlotte sighed and said, "I know you have doubts, but everyone else is posted for a different mission. The Mage Union is monitoring their movements."
"We can still order Supreme Wizards, Official Members, and Wizard seeds for other matters," she added.
"And you have experience. You have already done a long-term mission. You have survived the unknown dark territory, forbidden areas, seas, and chaotic territory in the distant land."
"I guess you have explored the remote regions in our Territory as well. Is there any place you haven’t visited, except for the places where access as a Magic Lord and Forbidden Level Wizard is needed?" she explained.
Lara smiled. She could tell that Vincent Carey was trying to say he was not experienced, but he had already gained plenty of experience.
On the other hand, I felt it was a compliment from Lord Charlotte. My mood was good. I decided to take the risk this time as well.
Lord Erwin had helped him before. He was also one of the faction elders of the White Silver Faction.
"I’m willing to do it, but I need complete information regarding the Black Mists Forbidden Land," I said to her.
Charlotte was relieved in her heart. Though it was risky to send a Supreme Wizard to that dangerous place, this young man had surprised them before.
Who knows? He could become a Magic Lord before returning.
"Good, I’m going to send it to you right now." After saying that, Charlotte took out her device and sent the information to Vincent’s device.
Buzz!
Vincent checked his device and saw many files. He nodded his head and said, "Alright."
"Okay, when are you going to depart?" Charlotte asked.
Hearing that, I said, "I’m going to leave after buying some necessities."
"If you need anything, tell her. News of your presence has already spread across the Magic City. I don’t want the Black Tower guys to cause any last-minute problems," Charlotte said.
"Okay," I replied.
"Then I’m leaving. I have already given your monthly Silver Tower resources to Lara. You can collect them from her." After saying that, Charlotte was about to exit.
But she paused. She turned around and said, "Supreme Wizard Vincent, if you find Lord Erwin, there is no need to take a risk. You can come back with the information as well."
I nodded to her. She then left through the door. But I had made up my mind to rescue Lord Erwin.
"So, tell me. What do you need?" Lara asked.
Hearing that, I turned towards her and said, "Most of the Forbidden Areas have the problem of corrupted mana. I need a magic potion to deal with it."
Lara nodded her head in understanding.
"Then I’ll collect a few other resources as well. I’ll deduct the cost from your mana stones," Lara said.
To that, I agreed. Then she returned to her office room. I made my way back to my room.
