‘I guess it’s time to use those skill-infused items from Shane…’

Asad reached into his storage equipment and pulled out a small oceansteel token shaped like a dog.

The token was cold against his fingers, and faint patterns resembling waves and storm clouds covered its surface.

It was one of the special items created by Shane or Shadow Strider.

Asad had received several of these skill-infused tokens from his Guild Leader, but he rarely had a reason to use them. Most of the time, his own abilities and undead army were more than enough to deal with the enemies he encountered.

This time, however, things were different.

The Sentinels were adapting far too quickly.

Their weapons were powerful enough to destroy his weaker undead almost instantly, and even his stronger summons were beginning to face increasing pressure.

Asad looked toward the battlefield.

The Bone Dragon was still fighting.

Its skeletal body was covered in cracks, while several of its bones had already been destroyed and regenerated multiple times. The Zombie King was barely holding back several Armored Sentinels, while the Lich continued firing spell after spell from the rear.

Even so, more machines continued emerging from deeper inside the facility.

“We’re going to need more help.”

Asad triggered the token in his hand.

The token immediately activated!

A shadow spread across the floor beneath Asad…. Then a large phantom hound emerged.

Its body was composed almost entirely of black shadows, but faint oceansteel patterns could be seen beneath its translucent form. Its blue eyes glowed brightly as it lowered its head and stared toward the Sentinels.

Asad pointed forward.

“Go.”

The Phantom Hound disappeared just like that…

There was no movement or any sound…

No sound.

Even the Sentinels seemed unable to detect it.

A moment later, the hound appeared behind one of the machines.

Its paw touched the floor.

BOOM!

Lightning exploded from beneath it.

The electrical current jumped from one Sentinel to another, causing several machines to convulse violently as their systems temporarily shut down.

Zzzzt!

The Bone Dragon immediately seized the opportunity.

It charged forward and smashed its claws into one of the disabled machines.

BOOM!

Just like that, the Sentinel was driven into the floor.

Before the other machines could react, the Phantom Hound disappeared again.

It reappeared behind another group…

Another step and another explosion of lightning came!

“So strong…”

Asad watched the creature carefully.

The token wasn’t simply summoning another combat creature.

It was creating openings!

Every time the Phantom Hound appeared, the Sentinels were forced to divide their attention, and the temporary paralysis gave his undead enough time to attack.

That was exactly what he needed.

“Keep moving.”

The Phantom Hound continued its assault.

It moved seven times in rapid succession, each step triggering another burst of chain lightning.

The corridor was filled with electrical flashes.

Several Sentinels were stunned simultaneously.

The Lich immediately followed up.

Hundreds of dark runes appeared around its body before countless black spears shot forward.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The weakened Sentinels were pierced one after another.

The notifications appeared one after another.

However, Asad didn’t celebrate.

Instead, his expression became more serious.

He could see the problem!

The Sentinels were already adapting to the Phantom Hound.

Several of them changed their targeting patterns and began firing at the areas where the hound had appeared previously. Others spread apart to reduce the effectiveness of the chain lightning.

“They’re learning again.”

Asad couldn’t help but sigh.

The machines were becoming more troublesome with every passing minute.

Then one of the Sentinels suddenly fired.

BOOM!

A plasma projectile struck the Zombie King directly.

The explosion tore through its chest and sent the undead creature crashing against the wall.

Before it could recover, three Sentinels simultaneously fired their lasers.

Zzzzt! Zzzzt! Zzzzt!

The Zombie King’s body was pierced repeatedly.

Its regeneration slowed.

Asad’s expression changed.

He had to intervene.

“I’ll deal with them myself.”

He reached into his storage equipment again.

This time, he pulled out a small token carved from enchanted Acacia wood.

The token was simple in appearance, but Asad knew exactly what was hidden inside it.

Another creation from Shadow Strider.

The Acacia’s Slayer Token.

Asad activated it.

Powerful energy immediately surged through Asad’s body.

His muscles tightened, and his senses sharpened.

The entire battlefield suddenly appeared much slower in his perception.

He could see every laser and every movement.

Every shift in the Sentinels’ weapons was laid bare in his eyes!

Asad’s eyes narrowed.

“This feeling is a bit too much… I can’t hold this for long.”

Asad then vanished.

One moment, he was standing behind the undead army.

The next, he was already beside an Armored Sentinel!

The machine barely had time to turn its head when Asad’s fist struck its chest.

BOOM!

The metal armor collapsed inward.

The Sentinel was thrown backward and crashed into the wall.

Asad didn’t stop either as his enhanced speed allowed him to cross the corridor almost instantly.

Another Sentinel raised its plasma weapon.

Asad moved before it could fire.

He appeared beside the machine and grabbed its arm.

Force Breaker activated.

Crack!

The mechanical arm was torn away. Asad immediately kicked the machine into the path of the Bone Dragon.

The Bone Dragon opened its jaws.

Dark flames engulfed the damaged Sentinel.

[ You have eliminated an Armored Sentinel Unit. ]

“Alright… Let’s end this.” Asad muttered, but as he thought that everything was under control, he noticed something approaching him from behind!
