Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle Chapter 1308: Different Requests

"C-can we really ask for anything?"
Aera carefully held the two potion vials in her hands as she looked at Asad. Even after everything they had just gone through, she still seemed unsure whether he was actually serious.
Asad looked at her for a moment before nodding.
"Yes. Anything within reason."
The six Priests immediately exchanged glances.
Asad already had a bad feeling about this.
They had just spent a considerable amount of time fighting a Demon Lord that could have killed them several times if it weren’t for his command. They had used Holy Water, blessed silver needles, purification techniques, barriers, and Divine Binding, yet they had still struggled to suppress it.
Now, all six of them were injured and exhausted.
Honestly, they deserved something.
Asad wasn’t particularly worried about the cost, either.
As a Necromancer and one of the wealthier survivors in Shane’s organization, he had access to far more resources than most people. His position as a high-ranking officer within the Clan also allowed him to travel freely between Shane’s shelters across different regions without any trouble.
He could request supplies, purchase equipment, exchange resources, and even make use of the organization’s network to acquire rare materials.
Compared to everything they had just endured, rewarding six capable Priests wasn’t exactly going to bankrupt him.
"Go ahead," Asad said. "Tell me what you want."
The six Priests remained silent for a few seconds.
Asad waited for a moment...
"What?"
Elysara exchanged a glance with Caedryn before finally looking at Asad.
"Are you certain?"
"Yes."
"You won’t regret it?"
Asad sighed.
"I’ll regret saying it if you keep asking me that."
Aera immediately covered her mouth to hide a laugh.
Elysara became silent for a moment before finally deciding to make her request.
"I want a better weapon."
Asad nodded.
"Fine. What kind?"
"A holy staff, please..."
"Done."
Asad reached into his storage space and pulled out a beautifully crafted staff with a white crystal embedded at its tip. He casually handed it to Elysara.
She stared at it in surprise before quickly checking its properties.
Her eyes widened. She didn’t expect that Asad had one ready!
"This is..."
"It’s a weapon I acquired a while ago," Asad explained. "I don’t need it anymore. I think it’s made by Hera or something from the Survivor’s Marketplace. Anyway... That’s that."
Elysara looked at the staff again. It was significantly better than the one she had been using.
"Thank you!"
Asad simply nodded.
"Next."
The others looked at one another.
Apparently, he really wasn’t joking.
Orwyn was the next to step forward. He had something specific in mind, but seeing how Asad produced something really better, he might as well become vague and have Asad decide the quality he was still to give.
Everyone understood this matter as well.
Orwyn cleared his throat.
"I would like a better shield."
"A shield?"
"Yes. Something stronger than the one I currently have."
Orwyn had always fought on the front lines. His defensive skills were among the strongest of the six, but his equipment had become increasingly outdated. Against ordinary Demons, it was still useful, but after fighting the Demon Lord, he had realized just how fragile his current shield was.
Asad nodded.
"Alright."
He opened his storage space and pulled out a heavy metal shield.
Orwyn’s eyes immediately lit up.
The shield was large enough to cover most of his body, and several faint holy runes had been engraved across its surface.
He had a lot of question in mind but it wasn’t the time right now.
"This should work."
Orwyn carefully accepted it.
The moment he checked its properties, his expression changed.
"This is much better than mine..."
"Then keep it."
"Thank you!"
Orwyn quickly stepped aside, clearly satisfied with his reward.
Asad looked toward the remaining Priests.
"Next."
Caedryn hesitated for a moment before raising his hand.
"I want more silver needles."
Caedryn pointed toward the pouch hanging from his waist.
"I’ve been using the same set for a long time. After today’s battle, several of them were damaged. I would like a new set, preferably something stronger."
Asad thought about it for a moment before nodding.
"Fine."
He took out a small wooden case and handed it to Caedryn.
Caedryn opened it and immediately saw dozens of thin silver needles arranged neatly inside.
He picked up one of them and examined it carefully.
"Blessed silver?"
"High-quality blessed silver. Well, they’re for Vampires... They should work just fine, right?"
Caedryn’s eyes brightened.
"How many are there? Of course! This is more than enough!"
"Enough."
Caedryn smiled.
For someone who specialized in fighting Demons with silver needles, that was probably the best possible answer.
"Thank you, Asad."
Asad smiled, then turned toward Miravel. He was lucky he didn’t have to order something more...
"What about you?"
Miravel looked down at the Holy Water hanging from her belt.
She had always carried several vials with her, but they were expensive and difficult to replace. After using so much of it during today’s battle, she knew she would need more.
"I would like more Holy Water. Ahem... I already spent all my money on my new set of weapons and this robe..."
Asad chuckled before he casually placed a large supply box in front of her. Once again, it was something he had prepared for himself in order to fight vampires and demons... They were quite expensive, but it wasn’t that big of a deal for him.
"Take it."
Miravel stared at the box for several seconds before carefully picking it up.
"Thank you..."
Vaelin finally turned... He had remained quiet throughout the entire exchange. He had clearly been thinking about his request.
"I want a better set of armor, Sir Asad..."
Asad looked him over.
Vaelin was the most lightly equipped among the six. His robes offered excellent freedom of movement, but they provided very little protection against physical attacks.
"Something that won’t interfere with your purification techniques?"
"Mhmm... Let’s see..."
Asad considered it for a moment before taking out a set of white and silver armor.
It was lighter than ordinary plate armor, with several holy symbols engraved along the chest and shoulders.
It was obtained from a legendary elf blacksmith, Zarion. He was one of Shane’s Legendary Recruit who had a level 10 Arcane Smithing Skill!
Vaelin immediately recognized that it was designed for a Priest.
"This is perfect."
He carefully examined the armor before looking at Asad.
"Are you sure I can have this?"
"You asked for it."
Vaelin smiled.
"Thank you."
"Don’t mention it."
Only Aera remained.
Everyone turned toward her.
Aera suddenly became nervous.
"Why are you all looking at me?"
"Because you’re the last one," Caedryn replied.
"I know that!"
Aera took a deep breath.
She had been thinking about her request the entire time, but now that everyone was waiting for her, she suddenly felt embarrassed.
Finally, she looked at Asad carefully before finally revealing her request.
"I want a pet..."
