Reese and the Supersoldiers learned about the Codebreakers Guild from Wallace, a fellow Demon Hunter. Wallace revealed that his guild originates from an A.I. Rebellion Apocalypse and possesses a space-time machine capable of traveling between different apocalyptic worlds. The guild uses this technology to explore, gather resources, and hunt creatures in other dimensions. Wallace explained that he is stranded in this world for six hours due to the portal's cooldown period after Reese's group had already cleared out the demons.

After their conversation, Reese and the Supersoldiers decided to bring Wallace back to Blue Haven Shelter.

Since the portal would not reopen for another six hours, there was no reason for Wallace to remain in the demon lair.

Besides, Reese had already become quite curious about the Codebreakers Guild, and he felt that bringing Wallace back would give them a chance to learn more about each other.

The group soon left the demon lair and returned to the surface before making their way toward Blue Haven Shelter.

After a swift check-up to confirm they weren’t corrupted or infected, they were finally allowed to enter.

Still, the moment Wallace arrived at the shelter, he couldn’t help but look around with interest.

The first thing that caught his attention was the pair of Warden Units standing at the entrance.

The androids stood motionless on both sides of the gate, their mechanical bodies equipped with weapons and various defensive systems.

Wallace couldn’t help but recall the Sentinels...

"Not bad..."

His eyes then moved toward the high-grade Automated Turrets positioned around the walls.

There were several of them, each one capable of automatically detecting and eliminating hostile targets.

Wallace continued looking around as they entered the shelter.

The buildings, defensive structures, energy systems, and various other advanced items made it obvious that Blue Haven Shelter was far more developed than an ordinary survivor settlement.

"This place is pretty impressive."

Reese smiled.

"You haven’t even seen everything yet."

Wallace chuckled.

"Then I guess I’ll have to take your word for it."

Although Wallace was genuinely impressed, he wasn’t completely overwhelmed.

The Codebreakers Guild had access to even more advanced technology, so he had already seen plenty of incredible equipment.

Still, he didn’t look down on Blue Haven at all.

From what Reese had told him, this wasn’t even the main headquarters of their organization.

It was merely one of the many shelters controlled by the Eclipse Revenant Clan.

"You said this place is only one of your clan’s shelters?" Wallace asked.

"That’s right," Reese replied.

Wallace nodded thoughtfully.

"Then your clan is quite powerful."

Reese didn’t answer immediately. He had only recently joined the Eclipse Revenant Clan, but after everything he had seen so far, he had no reason to doubt its strength.

As they continued walking, Reese soon realized that several familiar people were missing.

"Fiona isn’t here," he muttered.

He had expected the Rat Princess to be around, especially since she was always interested in unusual people and creatures.

Raze was also nowhere to be seen.

As for Mr. Wadsworth, he had already returned to Springriver Manor.

For the time being, the shelter was being managed by Mr. Wadsworth’s assistant.

Wallace didn’t seem particularly concerned about it.

Instead, he became more interested when they reached the harbor.

The sight before him immediately caught his attention.

Several ships were docked along the waterfront, with survivors moving around the harbor while others worked on the vessels.

Wallace stopped walking.

"Ships?"

His eyes lit up slightly as he looked over the harbor.

"They looked incredible..."

Reese smiled as he saw the man’s reaction...

Wallace immediately became more interested.

He had traveled through many apocalyptic regions with the Codebreakers Guild, but every shelter had its own unique development path.

A functioning harbor in an apocalypse was definitely something worth seeing.

As they walked farther into the harbor, Wallace noticed a man sitting beside one of the ships.

The man appeared to be taking a short break, with several tools scattered beside him.

There were signs that he had just finished repairing the vessel.

Reese pointed toward him.

"That’s Vasco."

"Vasco?"

"He’s the shipwright responsible for maintaining the ships here."

Wallace’s eyes immediately lit up.

"A shipwright?"

Without waiting for Reese to say anything else, Wallace walked toward him.

Vasco then looked up when he noticed the unfamiliar man approaching.

"Who are you?"

Wallace smiled.

"Wallace. I’m a Demon Hunter from the Codebreakers Guild."

Vasco paused as he had never heard of it... Well, he wasn’t interested to know about it either.

"You repaired this?" Wallace asked.

"Mhmm..." Vasco replied as he didn’t really like to talk much while on a break...

Nonetheless, Wallace’s interest immediately increased.

He crouched down beside the vessel and began examining its hull.

"Interesting..."

Vasco looked at him curiously.

"You know about ships?"

"A little."

Wallace smiled.

"I’ve seen quite a few during my travels."

Vasco seemed to become interested as well.

The two quickly began discussing the ship, its engines, and the difficulties involved in maintaining vessels during the apocalypse.

Reese and the Supersoldiers exchanged glances.

They had expected Wallace to be interested in the shelter’s defenses.

They hadn’t expected him to become this interested in Vasco.

After all, Wallace had only been here for a short time.

Yet somehow, he had already found something that caught his attention.

"So, what’s the biggest problem you’re having with these ships?" Wallace suddenly asked.

Vasco thought for a moment.

"Mhmm... Maybe power."

"Power?" Wallace was confused, as he could tell that the ship was emitting a powerful energy inside.

"Yeah."

Vasco pointed toward the ship.

"The Spirit Stones and Mana Crystals we have are too powerful. The energy they produce is difficult to regulate, and the valves and wires can’t handle the output for long. We have elves to help but they’re getting lazy these days. I need something that human workers can easily handle..."

Wallace blinked.

"Wait... you’re saying the problem isn’t a lack of energy?"

Vasco shook his head.

"We have plenty of energy sources. We just don’t have stable ones."

Wallace’s expression slowly changed.

"A stable power core..."

He muttered to himself before reaching into his storage equipment.

Vasco glanced at him curiously...

Wallace then looked at the ship again before smiling.

"How many do you need?"

"Why?"

Wallace grinned.

"Because I might be able to help."

Reese immediately became curious.

Wallace seemed to be quite excited as he thought about the large number of stable power cores he had accumulated through the Codebreakers Guild.

He had originally considered them ordinary supplies.

But now...

It seemed he had finally found someone who actually needed them.

"Maybe we can make a trade."
