The Warden Unit standing in front of them was not enough to stop the Silver Crest Clan.

However, the moment they saw the metallic humanoid blocking the street, they immediately knew that they were surrounded.

Indeed, seeing one Warden Unit means that the others were already here!

Because of that, they had to move quickly!

"Break through!"

The two members supporting Rain immediately released him and rushed forward.

One of them raised both hands, and the ground beneath the Warden Unit suddenly cracked apart. A powerful burst of earth surged upward, striking the android beneath its feet and throwing its body backward.

At almost the same moment, another Survivor fired several enchanted projectiles toward the surrounding buildings.

The projectiles didn’t target the Warden Unit.

Instead, they exploded against the walls, sending chunks of concrete and dust crashing into the street.

The sudden obstruction bought them a few precious seconds.

"Keep moving!"

Rain followed the others without looking back.

However, the moment they turned into the next street, several blue flashes suddenly appeared through the dust.

More of the Warden Units caught up, and furthermore, several other Survivors were already using their skills in hopes of capturing these troublemakers!

They had no idea who they were, but seeing how they were being apprehended by the Warden Units was already more than enough to move them.

Still, they let the Warden Units be the vanguard...

More than ten of these figures emerged from the surrounding streets...

Their blue eyes locked onto the fleeing Survivors, and the weapons mounted along their arms immediately activated.

"Incoming!"

A member of the Silver Crest Clan shouted.

The street was soon filled with the sound of gunfire.

Rain instinctively ducked as several rounds tore through the air above his head. The bullets struck the buildings behind them, sending sparks and fragments of stone flying in every direction.

"Barrier!"

A Survivor immediately stepped forward and created a translucent defensive wall using his skill...

The first wave of bullets slammed into the barrier with enough force to make its surface tremble violently.

"How many are there?!"

"Too many!"

Another member glanced backward and immediately cursed.

More Warden Units were arriving from the surrounding streets.

Seeing one of them had indeed meant that the others were already nearby.

The Silver Crest Clan had underestimated the speed at which the Eclipse Domain could respond to intruders.

"Don’t fight them!" Rain shouted. "Just break through! Move to areas filled with people..."

They had never intended to fight the shelter’s forces in the first place.

Their objective had already been accomplished.

Rain had successfully used the Legendary Talent Swap Scroll.

Now, all they needed to do was escape.

Several Survivors immediately began using movement spells.

A gust of wind swept through the street, pushing the members of the Silver Crest Clan forward with tremendous force. Another Survivor activated a Shadow Movement skill, causing his body to briefly blur before reappearing several meters ahead.

Rain followed closely behind while two clan members protected his sides.

Then something massive descended from above...

A Super Soldier landed directly in their path.

Booom!

The impact cracked the street beneath his feet.

The armored figure immediately swung his fist toward one of the fleeing Survivors and they barely managed to raise their weapon in time.

Thud!

The impact sent him flying backward.

"He’s blocking the road!"

Rain’s expression darkened as another Super Soldier landed behind them.

The Eclipse Domain had begun mobilizing its forces.

"Split!"

Rain shouted.

The clan members immediately separated into several groups.

Some rushed toward the left while others moved right, forcing the pursuing Super Soldiers and Warden Units to divide their attention.

If not for the civilians or residents, they were already shot down by their defenses... Thankfully, they knew where most people gathered and used them as shields or at least to stop Wardens and Super Soldiers from overly relying on guns and other projectiles.

Rain then stayed in the center with the strongest members of his group.

A Mage suddenly slammed his staff into the ground.

"Frost Prison!"

Ice spread across the street, freezing the legs of several Warden Units.

It didn’t stop them for long, but it was enough.

Another Survivor immediately threw a small metallic sphere into the path of the pursuing Super Soldiers.

The sphere exploded.

A wave of intense light flooded the street, temporarily interfering with their vision.

"Now!"

Rain’s group accelerated.

They were getting closer to the outer wall.

The escape route they had prepared had been carefully selected several days earlier. It was located in an area where several buildings stood close to the shelter’s perimeter, giving them a place to conceal themselves from the main streets.

Unfortunately, the barrier surrounding the Eclipse Domain remained the biggest obstacle.

The moment they reached the wall, a translucent energy barrier appeared before them.

Rain immediately shouted.

"The disruptor!"

One of his men pulled out the device they had prepared specifically for this moment.

It was a small cylindrical object covered in complicated runes and mechanical components.

He placed it directly against the barrier.

"Give me ten seconds!"

"You have five!"

The man gritted his teeth.

"Then I only need five!"

He activated the device.

A low vibration spread through the surrounding area and the barrier immediately began wavering...

Behind them, the sounds of pursuit were getting closer.

The Warden Units had broken through the ice.

The Super Soldiers were already approaching.

"Four seconds!"

The barrier wobbled again... Soon, a thin crack appeared across its surface.

"Three!"

Another pulse of energy struck the barrier, and finally, the crack widened.

"Two!"

A small opening finally appeared.

It wasn’t large enough for several people to pass through at once.

But it was enough.

"Go!"

The Silver Crest Clan members rushed toward the opening.

One after another, they slipped through the gap before the barrier could recover.

Then, the moment the first few members escaped through the opening to confirm that it was safe, the barrier began closing.

Those who remained behind desperately tried to follow, but the Warden Units had already caught up.

Several metallic figures raised their weapons and opened fire.

One of the members of the Clan was struck before he could reach the gap, his body collapsed onto the ground. Another one attempted to release a defensive skill, but a Super Soldier smashed through his barrier and sent him crashing into the wall.

"Go! Don’t wait for us!"

More members were cut down as they fought desperately to hold back the pursuing forces.

Within seconds, the opening became too small for anyone else to pass through.

Rain’s expression changed.

Only a handful of his people had passed through the barrier, but they weren’t even able to completely escape yet!
