Adam, having expended much of his energy and shattered his wings, confirmed his victory over two Lords, Raoha and Luaxa. He ensured his opponents were dealt with before Breydar could potentially escape, demonstrating his strategic focus on eliminating threats efficiently. Raoha and Luaxa, wounded and desperate, realized their only hope was to unleash their Constellations against Adam.

Drip. Drip. Drip.

Drops of blood, one after another, fell from the blue tip, plummeting down toward the dark waters of the Gray Sea.

As if impaled, Raoha hung from Adam’s long needle, which, in that form, looked more like a battle spire.

She hadn’t known he was capable of this and had been too focused on activating her Constellation.

If she’d remained cautious, she might well have managed to react to this attack and even counterattack, but now it was pointless.

Raoha was dead, and very soon it would all be over for Luaxa, too.

What chance did he have against a K4-Phantom who had just killed a Viscount? She realized that even if she activated her Constellation, it wouldn’t be enough.

’Raoha...?’ Luaxa blinked, looking at her senior. ’Did this really happen? Is she dead...?’

Whoooosh!

Adam’s needle returned to its original form, and Raoha’s body collapsed to the ground. In a few seconds, she would vanish into the endless waters of the Gray Sea, and soon the same would happen to Luaxa.

’I have to use my Constellation! This is my last chance to win!’ Luaxa cried out inwardly.

Step.

Adam stepped forward, slowly approaching her. If he could kill her without using his abilities, he would try to do so to conserve his strength.

Now that Raoha was dead, he knew for certain that Breydar would be his main opponent.

"Damn it! How is this going to help me?" Luaxa shouted to herself. "He defeated Midgar. He killed Raoha right in front of me! I have to run... I have to run!"

In a way, it was the right decision. If Raoha hadn’t managed to activate her Constellation, then Luaxa’s chances were even slimmer.

But... Running away was hardly the best option in her situation.

Whoooosh!

Luaxa sprinted forward at full speed, casting one last glance at Raoha as she approached the calm waves of the Gray Sea.

Tremble!

With a tremor, Adam’s frame appeared before her.

"W-WHAT!?!"

At the last moment, Luaxa managed to stop herself from crashing into him.

’How can he be so fast?’ Luaxa thought, clenching her fists tightly. ’I didn’t even notice a thing! Damn it!’

Adam gave her a long look.

"Come on. Don’t you want to avenge her? I’m sure you and she spent quite a bit of time at your clan."

A sharp glint flashed across her eyes, full of hatred and cruelty.

"Of course I want that! I want to kill you, but I’m not a complete idiot! I realize I don’t have the strength to do it!"

Adam tilted his head.

"That’s strange."

"Ah?" Luaxa frowned, waving her hand. "What’s so strange about that? It’s basic logic, you moron!"

In response, Adam shrugged.

"Well, you know you can’t beat me, but at the same time you think you can run away from me? That’s not just naive - it’s stupid."

Luaxa’s teeth ground together in anger.

"You are—"

She stopped when Adam pointed his needle at her.

’No!’

A chill ran down her spine as she jerked sharply to the side. She’d seen what had happened to Raoha, she couldn’t let the same thing happen to her! She didn’t want to die like that!

But...

Nothing happened.

"Ah?" Luaxa blinked, at a loss.

Adam’s needle remained in the same form.

"You have good reflexes, but that’s not enough."

Step.

With her next step, Adam appeared right in front of her.

Acting on instinct, Luaxa hurried to put up a block as her energy surged toward her arms.

SLASH!

Adam’s needle effortlessly severed her wrists and sliced through her neck, decapitating her.

Luaxa didn’t have time to say anything - it was death in a single, precise stroke.

All that was left for Adam to do was watch her wrists and head fall toward the Gray Sea, along with her body.

A few moments later, Adam nodded and turned toward Island A215.

He didn’t feel the same sense of pleasure and triumph from defeating them as he had against Midgar.

Perhaps because they were opponents on the same level, or perhaps because they were actually much weaker than Midgar.

However, Adam soon found another answer to that question.

"No."

He shook his head.

"Midgar... He wanted to win. He was ready to do anything to bring my head to the Befallen Crown and receive his well-deserved reward. He used everything he had. But they weren’t prepared for the fact that there would be someone else on this island besides Breydar."

Adam’s blue eyes grew deeper as he gazed at the trembling gray dome covering the central part of Island A215.

"At first, they thought they had a chance against me, but it didn’t take me long to prove them wrong."

Raoha and Luaxa’s bodies were already in the Gray Sea, slowly sinking to the bottom. But several energy flows belonging to them still lingered in the air. In just a few minutes, the wind currents would carry them away and mix them with many others.

"After that, they had no chance of winning. Besides, their skills are actually inferior to Midgar’s. That’s important, too."

Then, he narrowed his eyes, watching closely as several auras battled on the island.

"What about you, Breydar? Are your opponents as weak as mine, or are they stronger? Maybe you’re too weak and can’t defeat them?"

Adam had many questions, but he wanted to know the answer to only one of them: Would Breydar be able to win?

He wanted to know who he would have to fight - Breydar or the remaining members of the clan squad?

Tremble!

Suddenly, a tremor ran through the entire island.

For some reason, Adam felt a chill as his eyes turned toward the crystal pillars.

One by one, the crystal pillars began to glow brightly, much brighter than when Breydar had used them to fire energy rays at Raoha and the others.

"He..."

Adam’s eyes widened as he realized what Breydar was about to do.

"FUCK!"

His needle shattered into a multitude of blue threads that rushed to protect him.

At the same moment, hundreds of bright flashes engulfed Island A215, erupting in a powerful explosion that would soon shake dozens of nearby islands and the Gray Sea.
