Dragon Monarch System Chapter 1277:- Death of One of the National Treasures

Andris thought as he finally understood the entire situation.
For a few moments, he remained completely silent. Then, surprisingly, the horror in his eyes slowly disappeared.
"I... see..." Andris whispered.
A small smile gradually appeared on his blood-covered face. Although he had lost the battle, he no longer seemed angry or unwilling to accept the result. Instead, there was a strange sense of satisfaction in his expression.
He had entered this battle believing that he would easily defeat the former Crown Prince. However, Aditya had managed to overcome the enormous difference in their physical strength through careful planning, patience, and a willingness to take risks.
Andris could not deny that he had been completely outsmarted.
"Your Royal Highness..." Andris slowly spoke. His voice had become even weaker, and he could feel his remaining vitality rapidly disappearing.
"Although... I never officially became your teacher... I can say with certainty... that you have surpassed me."
Aditya remained silent as he listened.
Andris slowly closed his eyes for a moment before opening them again. "Not just in strength... but in the way you fight... and the way you think."
Another small amount of blood escaped from his mouth. "The future... belongs to you... and the younger generation."
A faint smile remained on his face as he finished speaking.
Aditya did not say anything in response. He simply continued holding Raiketsu firmly inside Andris’s body. At the same time, Aditya began channelling his Crimson Flames into the weapon.
The temperature of Raiketsu immediately started increasing. Within seconds, the blade had become so hot that the flesh surrounding it began burning from the inside. Andris immediately felt the terrifying heat spreading through his chest. His heart had already been pierced, and now the weapon passing through it was burning the surrounding flesh.
The heat was so intense that even his powerful Seventh Order physique could not completely resist it. His internal organs were being burned, and the damage was spreading rapidly.
At this point, Andris had already lost too much blood and vitality. His heart had suffered a fatal injury, and his remaining strength was disappearing with every passing second. With the addition of Aditya’s Crimson Flames, there was no longer any possibility of him surviving.
However, Aditya had no intention of taking any chances. He knew that Seventh Order cultivators possessed extremely powerful bodies and unusual methods of survival. Even with such serious injuries, he did not want to assume that Andris was dead until he was completely certain.
Because of this, Aditya did not pull Raiketsu backwards. Instead, he tightened his grip around the weapon and began moving it horizontally toward Andris’s right side.
The extremely sharp blade, which was still burning with Crimson Flames, cut through Andris’s chest from the inside. Starting from the wound in his heart, Raiketsu sliced through the surrounding flesh, muscles, ribs, and internal organs as Aditya pulled the blade toward the right.
The weapon continued cutting until it finally emerged from the right side of Andris’s body. As a result, an enormous horizontal wound was left across his chest.
The cut was so deep that it had almost separated his upper body from his lower body. His heart, which had already been pierced, was also partially cut apart during the final movement.
The terrifying heat from the Crimson Flames burned the flesh along the wound, making the injury even more devastating. Andris’s body trembled slightly. He no longer had enough strength to resist.
The small smile on his face slowly disappeared as the last of his vitality faded away.
His eyes closed forever. Andris, one of the Thirteen National Treasures of the Celestial Dragon Empire, had finally reached the end of his life.
With his heart destroyed and his chest almost completely cut apart, there was no possibility of survival. The moment Aditya withdrew Raiketsu from his body, Andris lost the last bit of support keeping him upright.
His lifeless body slowly tilted forward before falling from the sky. Andris did not move again. His eyes remained closed as his body fell toward the ground, never to open again.
Aditya silently looked down at the massive crater below him. Andris’s lifeless body was lying at the bottom of the very same crater where Aditya himself had been lying just a few moments earlier. The man who had almost killed him was now lying motionless on the broken ground, with a large wound across his chest.
Looking at Andris’s body, Aditya could not help but feel a little emotional. Although they had fought against each other with the intention of killing one another, Aditya had never personally hated Andris.
In fact, he had always respected the man for his overwhelming physical strength and his achievements as one of the Thirteen National Treasures of the Celestial Dragon Empire.
However, they had chosen to stand on opposite sides of this war. Andris had remained loyal to Ren, while Aditya was fighting to take back everything that rightfully belonged to him. Under such circumstances, there was no way for them to avoid fighting each other.
After staring at Andris’s body for a few seconds, Aditya slowly raised his head and looked toward the other battles taking place in the distance.
His grandfather, Malakor Harrington, was still fighting against one of the Seventh Order cultivators from the Emperor Faction. Meanwhile, Lou Han was fighting another Seventh Order cultivator, while the third Seventh Order cultivator from Aditya’s side was dealing with the remaining enemy.
Although all three battles were still continuing, Aditya could clearly see that the situation was gradually turning in their favour.
Malakor was already beginning to push his opponent back. His attacks were becoming increasingly difficult for the enemy to defend against, and the difference in their strength was slowly becoming more obvious.
Lou Han was also gaining the upper hand in his battle. Although his opponent was doing everything possible to resist, Lou Han’s attacks were forcing him to retreat repeatedly.
As for the third battle, Aditya’s subordinate had also managed to gain an advantage over his opponent. Although the enemy cultivator was still fighting back, it was clear that he was beginning to struggle.
After observing the three battles for a short while, Aditya was able to roughly understand how things would end.
Aditya was confident in their abilities. After all, these were not ordinary cultivators. Each of them had reached the Seventh Order and possessed enough strength to fight against some of the strongest individuals in the Celestial Dragon Empire.
Furthermore, their opponents were already beginning to show signs of exhaustion. Unless something unexpected happened, Aditya believed that all three of them would be able to defeat their opponents without requiring his assistance.
Aditya lowered his head and looked at his own body. His clothes were badly damaged, his face was covered in blood, and almost every bone in his body had suffered some form of injury. Even now, he could feel intense pain spreading through his chest whenever he breathed.
Although he had managed to defeat Andris, the battle had left him in a terrible condition. At this moment, all Aditya wanted was to find somewhere peaceful where he could lie down and rest.
He had no desire to continue fighting. However, just as he was about to move, a familiar figure suddenly rushed toward him.
Before Aditya could even properly react, Athena appeared directly in front of him and immediately wrapped her arms around his body.
"You stupid idiot! You scared me to death!" Athena shouted while hugging him tightly.
Although she sounded angry, her voice was filled with worry. Athena had been watching the entire battle from a distance. When she saw Aditya being sent crashing into the ground after Andris’s seven consecutive attacks, she had already become extremely worried.
However, what frightened her the most was the moment Andris rushed toward the crater to deliver his final attack. At that time, Aditya had been lying helplessly on the ground, covered in blood and suffering from serious injuries.
Athena had genuinely believed that she was about to lose him. Even though Aditya had managed to turn the situation around and defeat Andris, the fear she had experienced during those few seconds had not completely disappeared.
"You...!" Athena gritted her teeth as she looked at him.
For a moment, she genuinely wanted to hit him for being so reckless. However, when she saw the terrible condition of his body, she immediately stopped herself. His face was covered in blood, his clothes were torn, and she could clearly sense that he had suffered serious injuries throughout his body.
Even hugging him too tightly might cause him more pain. Realising this, Athena immediately loosened her embrace.
"Look at yourself! Just look at the condition you’re in!" Athena said angrily.
Aditya could only give her a helpless smile. Despite the pain spreading through his body, he slowly raised his right arm and gently hugged her back. His left arm was still hurting too badly for him to move it comfortably, so he could only use one hand to return her embrace.
"Well, I did win, though." Aditya replied with a small smile.
