Luna awakens in an alley after a night of non-consensual encounters, feeling humiliated and vowing revenge. Marcus also wakes up in a compromising situation, only to be met by a swarm of reporters exposing his secrets. Yuan, observing the chaos he orchestrated from afar, feels satisfied with Marcus's downfall but notes Luna's escape. He then visits Patricia, who is shocked by the news about Marcus.

Patricia proceeded to tell Yuan everything the reporters had uncovered, explaining how they had received an anonymous tip and rushed to the scene to capture the incident on camera.

"That’s unbelievable! How could someone from such a prestigious family end up in a scandal like that? And he actually spent the night with a group of muscular men?" Yuan exclaimed, pretending to be utterly shocked.

"I know, right? I did some digging of my own and confirmed that he really did spend the night with a group of men. It was shocking, especially considering that he already has a beautiful girlfriend," Patricia replied, nodding at Yuan’s reaction.

She had been just as astonished when she first heard the news. She could hardly believe that Marcus had become embroiled in such a scandal.

"Indeed. After all, we saw him trying to flirt with you at the gala, only to fail miserably." Yuan added with a teasing smile, causing Patricia’s cheeks to turn slightly rosy.

However, she quickly composed herself, regained her usual confident demeanor, and leaned back against the sofa, crossing her legs.

"I have absolutely no interest in a monkey like him. He only acts so arrogant because his father has money. Without his father’s backing, he would be nothing."

She scoffed before continuing, "I find men like that disgusting. They rely on their family’s influence to look down on others. I prefer someone capable, someone who genuinely cares about me, and someone I can rely on."

Patricia had no qualms about openly expressing her preferences in a man. However, throughout her explanation, her gaze remained fixed on Yuan.

Selvariel immediately noticed it.

She was beginning to suspect that Patricia was slowly developing feelings for Yuan, although it was still too early to draw any definite conclusions.

"You certainly have high standards, Patricia," Yuan remarked with a soft chuckle.

"Of course I do! I’m the founder and president of the VELoura Group. I can’t afford to have low standards."

She then changed the subject.

"By the way, several people have already contacted me asking about the jewelry sets. I told them I would get back to them once everything was arranged."

"Tell them to meet you at your office this afternoon. I’ll prepare the jewelry sets in the meantime," Yuan replied with a smile, secretly delighted by the news.

Customers meant money. Considering the rarity and enormous size of the gemstones embedded in his jewelry, he could potentially earn tens of millions of dollars from the sales.

To Yuan, however, these jewelry sets held little practical value. He possessed so many of them that thousands of sets were gathering dust inside his system storage, almost like worthless trinkets.

Yet, on Earth, such treasures were practically priceless. Wealthy collectors would gladly spend a fortune acquiring them, both for their beauty and to show off their extraordinary wealth.

Yuan certainly wasn’t going to let such an opportunity slip through his fingers.

Unlike the world he had reincarnated from, money held enormous power here.

Money could buy almost anything in this world.

Almost anything except life itself.

"Are you sure you want to sell those jewelry sets? Aren’t they precious family heirlooms?" Patricia asked, looking slightly concerned.

"They aren’t particularly important to me. Even if I sold hundreds of sets, I would still have thousands more at my disposal," Yuan replied with a gentle smile.

"..."

Patricia stared at him in stunned silence for several moments, struggling to process what she had just heard.

"T-Thousands of jewelry sets like these?! Don’t tell me you robbed a bank! Hell, even a bank might not have treasures this precious!" she exclaimed.

"You don’t need to worry. I haven’t robbed any banks," Yuan replied with an amused chuckle.

He then casually moved his hand behind his back. A moment later, ten exquisite jewelry sets appeared in his palm as if by magic.

He placed them carefully on the table in front of Patricia.

"Here are the jewelry sets. Contact me once you’ve sold them, and you can keep ten percent of the proceeds as your commission," Yuan said with a smile.

After handing the jewelry sets over to Patricia, Yuan and Selvariel returned to the villa and shared the good news with everyone.

Angela was surprised to learn that so many people were already interested in purchasing the jewelry, even though news of the collection had only spread the previous day.

She wasn’t the only one who felt that way. Many of Yuan’s other women were equally astonished.

"We could earn millions of dollars from these sales alone. I’ve already given Patricia ten jewelry sets, and she’ll receive a ten percent commission on every piece she sells," Yuan explained.

"Wonderful! Since we’re relying on her connections to make money, she deserves that commission," Anna Grace said with a smile, readily agreeing with his decision.

"Indeed. She certainly deserves it," Angela added with a gentle nod.

Some time later, Yuan received a phone call from Patricia.

She informed him that the jewelry had undergone preliminary testing, and the results confirmed that the diamonds were genuine natural diamonds despite their extraordinary size.

[Are you absolutely sure you want to sell them?! A single set could be worth several hundred million dollars!] Patricia’s voice came through the phone’s speaker, her tone unusually serious.

"Sell them. You have my approval, and I’ve already made my decision," Yuan replied firmly.

[All right. If you’re absolutely certain, I’ll arrange the sales for you.]

"Good. Contact me once you’ve sold them."

[I will. Anyway, I’m running late for the office, so I’ll hang up now.]

"Be careful on the road," Yuan reminded her.

[I will. Bye.]

Beep! Beep!

The call ended, and Yuan let out a soft sigh as he leaned back against the sofa.

"I’ve already told her that I have hundreds of similar jewelry sets, yet she’s still so concerned about me. She’s a rather interesting girl," Yuan muttered, gazing at the ceiling with a faint smile.

"She’s a very sweet girl," Anna Grace remarked with a soft chuckle, already guessing what was going through his mind.

She had begun to suspect that Patricia was developing feelings for her beloved son.

The only question was how long it would take for that budding attraction to turn into genuine affection, and for those feelings to eventually blossom into love.

Knowing Yuan’s personality, Anna Grace and the others were almost certain that he wouldn’t reject Patricia if she eventually confessed her feelings.

Meanwhile, Marcus arrived at his mansion, only to sense the tense atmosphere the moment he stepped inside.

His father, Matthew Lane, was sitting on the sofa, his face flushed with anger as he watched the news playing on the enormous television.

’Shit! Father is absolutely furious with me! I’m dead! I’m definitely dead today!’ Marcus screamed inwardly as he took in his father’s terrifying expression.

The news of his humiliating incident at the bar was being broadcast on television. The footage showed him leaving the establishment while reporters pursued him, along with images from inside the room.

Seeing the coverage, Marcus felt the blood drain from his face.

’I’m screwed...’

Matthew turned toward his son after hearing him gasp. The moment Marcus met his father’s icy gaze, his face grew even paler.

"MARCUS! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!" Matthew roared, his voice thundering throughout the mansion.

"Eek!" Marcus flinched, feeling as though a blade were pressed against his throat.

"Get over here and explain everything! I want to know every last detail!"

"Yes, Father..." Marcus murmured.

He walked over and stood in front of his father with his head lowered, not daring to meet his furious gaze.

"Are you going to open your mouth and explain yourself, or are you just going to stand there like an idiot?!" Matthew bellowed.

Every fiber of his being urged him to teach his utterly disappointing son a lesson.

"I-I don’t know exactly what happened after I passed out..." Marcus began, his voice trembling.

"I was on the road with my girlfriend when everything went dark. The next thing I remember, I woke up in a room full of large, naked men. I was on a bed with them, and I had no idea how I’d ended up there..."

As he recounted the events, his voice grew increasingly unsteady. The horrifying memories of the previous night were still fresh in his mind, and even recalling them made him shudder.

Matthew listened to his son’s unbelievable explanation about a mysterious man who had seemingly fallen from the sky, destroyed his car, knocked him unconscious, and somehow left him in a room full of muscular men.

Throughout his explanation, Marcus repeatedly insisted that he wasn’t attracted to men and that he preferred women. He claimed that everything had been orchestrated by a man named Yuan and that he had been deliberately framed.

However, Matthew Lane was a strict and calculating man who never took anyone’s words at face value. He preferred evidence over excuses.

"Let’s assume that this so-called Yuan really did arrange everything. But tell me, why would he go to such lengths if you hadn’t done anything to provoke him? Did he do all this just for fun?" Matthew asked mockingly, letting out a cold snort.

"I-I don’t know... I met him at the gala. I’d never encountered him before that night," Marcus replied, his voice trembling as Yuan’s face resurfaced in his memories.

"Go to your room and clean yourself up. I’ll investigate this matter thoroughly." Matthew paused, his expression hardening. "Until I get to the bottom of this, you’re not allowed to leave the house."

"Your reckless behavior has already damaged the family’s reputation. You’re forbidden from stepping outside until I say otherwise!"

"I-I understand, Father..." Marcus nodded hurriedly before retreating to his room.

The moment Marcus was gone, Matthew took out his phone and made a call. He instructed one of his trusted associates to investigate the mysterious man named Yuan, demanding every available detail about his background, activities, and connections.

"Yuan... I don’t know who you are or what you’re capable of, but you’ve destroyed the reputation I’ve spent thirty years building." His expression grew cold as he ended the call.

"You’ve just dug your own grave."

A few minutes later, an email containing a report on Yuan arrived.

Matthew immediately opened the attached file and began reading.

"So, he disappeared two years ago and suddenly returned to the city, where he purchased Villa Number Two in the VIP District..."

He continued scrolling through the report, his eyebrows gradually drawing together.

"Other than the fact that he was still in high school when he disappeared, there’s barely any information about him."

Matthew leaned back against his chair, a thoughtful expression crossing his face.

"Interesting. At least now I know the identity of the man who ruined my reputation."

He had expected to uncover a wealth of information about Yuan, but the report contained surprisingly little. Rather than satisfying his curiosity, it only made him more intrigued.

Who exactly was this young man, and what had happened during those two missing years?

For the first time since hearing Marcus’s explanation, Matthew began to wonder whether his son had stumbled into something far more complicated than an ordinary feud.
