Elizabeth playfully threatened to eat food placed on Fisher's body as punishment. Fisher attempted to dissuade her, suggesting a bath together to keep things clean, which only made Elizabeth's intentions more bizarre. When Fisher directly refused, Elizabeth argued that punishment wasn't real if he didn't accept it. Realizing his attempts were futile, Fisher unexpectedly kissed Elizabeth, reminding her of a past encounter at the Royal College.

But even so, when their lips parted, Elizabeth couldn’t help but breathe a little heavier, her gaze somewhat blurry as she looked at Fisher before her.

At this moment, when Fisher spoke again,

"Elizabeth, let’s be normal, okay? Let’s eat first..."

"...Alright."

Poor Elizabeth was already struck dumb by the confusion from over ten years ago, played into submission by the wicked Fisher, who silently rescinded the penalty she had just mentioned.

But obviously, neither of them felt that way because now, Elizabeth only had him in her eyes; she just wanted to possess him, regardless of the circumstances.

She took a breath, reluctantly rubbing her flushed face, then waved her hand, a certain signal to the Cardinal emanated from her fingernails.

Embedded on her fingertips were one or two red base, gold-decorated manicures, which not only for appearance but also provided Elizabeth with a hidden means of controlling the Cardinal.

After shaking her fingers, she pressed one hand onto Fisher’s chest, and suddenly a tremendous force compelled him to step back.

"I’ve already asked Dianne to bring food over soon..."

Elizabeth gasped, pushing Fisher step by step towards her boudoir, then promptly shoved him onto the soft bed, pinning him underneath.

She licked her red lips, pressing Fisher beneath her with her right hand, while her left hand deftly undid the complex knot of hair behind her head, and the next moment, her smooth golden hair flowed down like a waterfall, gently brushing against her back with its weight, like the descent of a goddess.

"As for now, obediently let me consume you, Fisher."

"Can’t we eat first? You wouldn’t want Dianne to walk in on us later, would you? I wouldn’t mind, she can’t see me anyway. But wouldn’t she find it strange if you alone were making odd noises and start imagining things?"

Elizabeth’s golden eyes flickered dangerously, she coldly sneered and said,

"Dianne is a smart woman, she knows what not to see and hear, because if she does, I might just gouge her eyes out."

"That’s too cruel..."

"You don’t like it?"

"I don’t like it."

"..."

Elizabeth squinted at Fisher, then smiled and complied,

"Alright, as you wish, I’ll change."

"Then after we eat..."

"No."

"I’m currently in a normal state, I can’t function without food, no strength. You can’t just make the ox plow the field without letting it eat grass, can you?"

This was a lie.

To do such a thing, Fisher didn’t need to eat to maintain his energy, it would never be a case of "can’t plow without grass."

It’s just that Dianne’s situation is special, he couldn’t simply treat her like Elizabeth’s unquestioning servant, some caution was warranted.

Besides, Fisher indeed had some words he wanted to say to Elizabeth, better now than waiting for the sage-time afterward.

Luckily, Elizabeth trusted Fisher, more so with the irrefutable reason he presented.

So, after a moment of hesitation, she sighed gently and released her hand from pressing Fisher’s chest, moved off him, and lay beside him.

Her golden hair spread out, she gently covered her face with one hand, leaving only one golden eye exposed, still saying,

"After eating, it’s final notice, can’t delay anymore...or is it, Fisher, you simply don’t want to?"

By the end, Elizabeth’s voice oddly became calm, the more calm it was, the more dangerous it seemed.

Lying beside her, Fisher turned to look at her, smiling,

"How could that be? Frankly, I’ve thought about this more than once since I was eighteen."

"...Then why were you like a chick back then? I remember I hinted at you more than once, or did you simply not understand my hints?"

"No, I understood."

"Then..."

Fisher looked at the lights on the ceiling, his gaze deep,

"I just felt at the time, I wasn’t capable of being responsible for you, hindsight does attest to this. When problems arose, my first thought was avoidance, to choose distancing rather than facing—like the Prince in ’Revenge.’

"’Revenge’?"

"Ah..." Fisher laughed and said, "That Prince, to avoid the risk of assassinating an enemy nation, found so many reasons and excuses that even he couldn’t see it was inner compensation. But thinking about it, back then wasn’t I just like that? Subconsciously trying to avoid confronting your family’s strong opposition to us being together, when that event occurred, I more like suddenly found a reason to run away and turned to leave..."

Elizabeth blinked and yet halted his guilt, as she was always in sync with Fisher, knowing well his thoughts at the time, which wasn’t his primary reason for escaping.

She knew, at that time, he was indeed scared by her.

Yet, bringing up this topic summoned numerous grievances wanting to pour out.

"Fisher, I knew you were frightened by me... After all, it wasn’t hard to imagine. A once so kind, so gentle elder princess before you, at her birthday party, a girl seeming tortured to the brink of collapse, in a trembling manner, discarding her dignity to plead with you, promising never to approach you, only begging that princess not to torture her anymore. Surely you’d doubt if you saw the wrong person, especially when you questioned me and I silently admitted..."
