Alicia attends the funeral of Helson, her grandfather. During the ceremony, Empress Elizabeth arrives and questions Alicia about a book, hinting at a past connection with Fisher. Meanwhile, Fisher, hiding outside, overhears Valentina planning to create a fake letter to provoke him, seemingly out of jealousy over Fisher and Elizabeth.

"Valen... Tina?"

Looking at the figure in front of the carriage, Fisher couldn’t help but call out to the girl who was whispering, and as Fisher’s voice sounded, Valentina’s body trembled slightly, and she turned around in disbelief.

What met her eyes was the man who seemed to melt into the air yet appeared only to him.

She was stunned for a second, then her eyes instinctively turned red. She quickly stood up and ran towards Fisher,

"Fisher! Are you really here?!"

"Thud!"

Fisher instinctively opened his arms, but although Valentina’s form had changed from a phoenix to a human, her rank was still the solid Fourteenth Rank. At this moment, he had returned to a normal human level, and surprisingly couldn’t withstand Valentina’s impact, being pressed down onto the ground, gasping in pain.

"Fisher! Are you... are you okay? I didn’t mean to!"

"Fisher? What Fisher? What are you talking about, trivial?"

Seeing that she had knocked Fisher down, Valentina hastily apologized in a panic, but simultaneously, the incredulous voice of Master Tao suddenly echoed in her mind.

Valentina was slightly stunned and began to explain,

"Hey, Fisher is right..."

"Idiot trivial, speak with me in your mind, don’t say it out loud!"

"Oh..." Valentina quickly used her mind to converse with Master Tao, making their conversation extremely rapid, much like an internal dialogue, "Fisher is right in front of me, I accidentally knocked him down."

"...Are you so desperately longing for your dead husband that you’ve gone insane? I see nothing."

"Huh? How... how is that possible?!"

Valentina blushed slightly, quickly leaned down to touch Fisher’s body. The suddenly fallen Fisher hadn’t yet reacted but felt Valentina’s invading cold little hand, and he hastily pressed down on her hand, questioning,

"Wait a minute, Valentina... what are you doing?"

"Eh? I..." Valentina blushed upon hearing this, looking down at her hand that had overstepped into Fisher’s clothing to verify his reality, suddenly feeling like a rogue, she became embarrassed, "I... I was just checking if you really appeared in front of me..."

Fisher smiled slightly, then reached into his arms and took out the Demi-human Girls Completion Manual, invisible to her. He took out the necklace of Valentina’s mother, which he was previously entrusted to keep. When the necklace appeared in his hand, Valentina further confirmed that the person in front of her was indeed Fisher.

"Now do you believe me?"

"..."

Valentina just looked at Fisher below her, and a second later, she pouted, then smiled at Fisher again,

"...It’s so good to see you again, Fisher."

"Me too, Valentina."

Fisher lay on the ground, but seeing Valentina in human form, he always felt there was a familiar scent on her that he couldn’t identify due to his dulled senses after the blessing’s restoration.

Hence, he could only ask his full-hearted questions directly,

"Valentina, weren’t you supposed to turn back into... a phoenix after you awoke? Why are you still in human form? And earlier, what were you whispering about here..."

"Hey hey, that..."

Valentina stood up a bit embarrassedly, but after hesitating for a moment, she shook her skirt in front of Fisher, explaining,

"I am indeed a phoenix now, it’s just that I was worried Fisher might not be used to or like my phoenix form, so I..."

But her words came to an abrupt halt at the end, she blinked her eyes, as if she were conversing with someone in her mind, causing her external actions to stall.

"...Valentina?"

"Ah... Ah, I’m here, Fisher!"

"What’s wrong with you, what were you going to say just now?"

"Uh, actually, there’s a legacy of an elf named ’Tao’ in the roots of the World Tree. While I was sleeping, I mastered some of her powers, and now I can do some simple manipulation of my flesh..."

Valentina blinked, saying somewhat reluctantly.

"Tao? How could that bad-tempered, petty, and disgusting elf have a legacy in the roots of the World Tree in the Northern Realm..."

Fisher frowned, worriedly saying this. After all, any power related to Master Tao was chaotic for life, and he hoped Valentina would not get involved with anything related to chaos, especially since Valentina was originally linked to the Doomsday Prophecy.

But Valentina just blinked, looking at Fisher blankly with a puzzled face, saying nothing, as if a storm of noise in her mind distracted her,

"..."

"So have you used that power often during this time? Have you had any auditory hallucinations in your mind, like the phantom of Master Tao speaking to you, urging you to do something?"

"Hey hey, no, I’m all good. Even though I just woke up, everything is back on track, and the Wutong Tree doesn’t need much of my worry either. But more importantly..."
