The next day swiftly arrived. The news about the death of Viscount Raymond and his son spread through the Nobles, but no one was surprised when they learned they had both died from drug overdoses.

A few Nobles couldn’t help but find it funny. A Voidstar Life Ranker dying from a drug overdose was pure insanity. Imagine having that kind of power just to die like a pig, but alas, none of them truly mourned him, he was a pathetic man after all.

The daughter buried her father the same day and also held an inauguration, cementing her position as quickly as possible, as she didn’t display a shred of sorrow for her brother and father.

As for Asher, he was already awake and within his room, simply waiting for the day to pass. After all, he would be going back with Teo Swig, as the boy had no other means to return.

As it was 1 p.m. in the afternoon, Teo Swig entered Asher’s room with a calm demeanor, as it was now time to leave. Although they could spend the entire day, Teo Swig had suggested that they leave during the afternoon just in case any instructions came from the Instructors and the likes, as he wouldn’t want to miss them.

Although Asher knew that William and the rest could just text him if such a thing happened... although they wouldn’t have information relating to the final years if it was exclusively announced to just them.

Teo Swig’s parents wanted to meet Asher. They wanted to thank him for saving them and apologize for their attitude yesterday, but Asher declined. Although he didn’t say it, he didn’t always know what to say whenever someone said things like "thank you." He always preferred to avoid it if he could.

There was no way he would stand and listen to Teo Swig’s parents thank him. He would feel awkward, as he wouldn’t exactly know what to say.

Seeing Teo Swig enter, Asher spoke to Lyra, who was stationed at the door.

"Lyra, don’t take any mission for the time being and remain with Teo’s family until he is back and ready to leave with them," he instructed, although he knew Lyra wouldn’t leave.

Lyra simply nodded her head.

Seeing Lyra nod, Asher turned his attention towards Teo Swig, then nodded at him. Teo nodded back, and with that, Asher placed his hand on his shoulder, and together they vanished, appearing directly in Asher’s room.

"I will take my leave now, Tenth Sun," Teo Swig stated with a slight bow of his head.

"See you at the graduation ceremony," Asher said as he headed towards the door and opened it for Teo Swig.

As he opened the door and Teo Swig was about to step out, Asher saw William walk by as the boy was heading to Finch’s room. Seeing Teo Swig come out of Asher’s room, William tilted his head in confusion, as he could never have expected these two to be in the same room.

Teo Swig glanced at William. He said nothing, didn’t acknowledge him with a nod or anything of the sort, and simply walked past him as though he wasn’t there.

Seeing William walk towards his room, Asher simply sighed as he shook his head.

"Why was that guy here?" William asked as his gaze turned towards Teo Swig, who was already on the stairs.

Asher sighed as he replied, "None of your business. You’re gossiping too much for a man."

"What is wrong with a man who gossips?" William fired back.

Asher stared at him for a moment, then replied, "Whatever," his tone indifferent as he moved to close the door.

William immediately put his foot in the door as he spoke, "Why are you being so secretive... do you have a woman in there that you are hiding? Which year is she from?"

Asher didn’t reply as he simply took out Virelass and moved to slash off William’s foot. The boy could always get a new leg from the Healing Department.

William, seeing Asher’s rapier, immediately removed his leg. He gave a helpless smile as he spoke, "I only wanted to tell you that we have a written exam tomorrow."

Hearing William’s words, Asher arched an eyebrow, as the Academy never actually taught anything that required a written exam... well, at least for the classes Asher had registered for.

Seeing Asher’s confusion, William continued while standing at the doorway, "According to the Instructor who announced it, it’s said to be General Knowledge about the Empire and such, nothing one can’t find at the Library."

"So you’re heading to the Library?" Asher asked.

William nodded as he replied, "Yeah, I’m heading there with Finch, so I was just walking to his room when I saw you."

Asher stayed silent for a moment. Although he had flipped through every history book relating to the world and Empire as a whole that was within the Wargrave Library, it was still possible there were things he didn’t know. Besides, he never forgot whatever he had read or seen; any book he had read could be recalled.

"Let’s go then... I’ve never actually been to the Star Academy Library," he spoke as he stepped out of his room, the door closing behind him.

William nodded, and together they jumped over the staircase railing. They pushed off the air the moment they got to the fifth floor and landed within the hallway of the fifth floor, as Finch was within the top 50.

Knocking, Finch opened the door and simply stepped out as though expecting them. Although he didn’t know Asher was joining them, he wasn’t really surprised. As for Vaelric and Ryaen, they had their own individual plans. After all, although they were friends, it didn’t mean they necessarily had to study together.

Arriving at the Library, Asher had sort of expected something cool, but no, it was just a regular Library. Other first-year students were already at the Library. They only stared at Asher for a moment before their attention returned to their books, as they dared not whisper too much.

If they failed the General Knowledge exam, they only had one more shot, or they would be expelled. There was no time to sit around admiring the Tenth Sun.

Asher simply found a random seat and sat, waiting for Finch and William to pick out books they would read. They brought over twenty thick books. Asher simply sorted through them for the ones he had never seen at the Wargrave Library. Seeing only two unfamiliar ones, he took them both and started reading.

William was naturally a smart guy. His memory retention was also pretty good, so it was a bit easy for him to read, understand, and remember the things he read. As for Finch, he felt like he was reading a bunch of jargon and gibberish.

Seeing William and Asher have it easy, he could only sigh. The only thing Finch understood were numbers. He was an innate mathematician because of his love of money and numbers.

But alas... while he might have linked Ryaen’s talent to his soul, it didn’t mean her brain was transferred to him.

William and Asher simply held their laughter as they watched the boy struggle.
