Damon leads the children out of the Anarchy Mountains, only for their camp to be destroyed by a sudden pillar of light. Meanwhile, Eva worries about Damon and Ranar, reflecting on her maternal role. Her thoughts are interrupted by the arrival of Lord Aetherus, who claims to be Damon's brother and seeks him out.

Lilith noticed the sly smile on Aetherus’s face.

"He left, so he’s not here. Please leave. We ladies are trying to enjoy some privacy. You wouldn’t want to interfere, would you?"

"Of course not, but how can anything be private when this whole world is my body? No place is private from me, as I am God."

"Be that as it may, I still request that you leave," Renata said with a frown.

"I will not." He answered calmly before glancing toward the tent.

"You children lie to me. I sense my brother within that tent, and since you have no intention of letting me see him, you will simply have no choice but to let me take him away with me."

As soon as he said this, Evangeline’s body was covered by armor. Her Ascendant Armor glittered with golden light as her magic filled it, and a sword appeared in her hand.

She tightened her grip around the hilt and glared at him.

"Once again, I’ll repeat myself. Please leave."

"Or else what?" Aetherus asked, taking a step forward.

"So this is one of the Ascendant Armors I’ve heard so much about. Armor made from knowledge stolen from that vile God. Heretic armor that taints the name of my creator, the Goddess of Doom."

He took another step forward.

"You are no different from those vile outsider worms that aim to feast on my divine flesh."

"This world has forgotten my might. Many things have happened during my slumber. Your mortals have forgotten their place. You are less than worms. All you know how to do is pray, scream, and die."

He took another step forward.

Lilith and Renata’s auras surged as they prepared to face him, but Aetherus didn’t stop moving.

"My brother has really caused a lot of trouble by removing me all these years, and look at where it led. This is what happens when you let mortals have their way. The world is now at the brink of collapse."

A pillar of light began to form in the heavens, slowly descending toward them.

"Mortals only exist to bow. Your purpose is to worship Gods and nothing else. Allow me to correct your failings. After all, man shouldn’t be the ruler of any world."

The beam descended.

It crashed down upon the camp, engulfing everything in blinding light.

It should have been over.

But a barrier of light suddenly formed and stopped the attack from destroying the camp.

"Are you blind, or can’t you see?" Lilith said as she walked toward him, her red hair flowing in the wind and her green eyes glowing.

"None of us here is a man."

A sharp sound shook the very world.

A void was cut open, and space collapsed inward.

"No respect for the laws of the world. Your power harms the very fabric of reality. What a cursed attribute." He said softly, waving his hand and brushing aside the attack of Lilith Astranova.

Lilith was only the beginning.

Renata raised her hand and unleashed a chain of attacks that surrounded Aetherus from every direction. However, before she could react, he vanished.

The world seemed to slow down.

Renata’s eyes widened as she turned around, only to find him standing right beside her, his palm already outstretched toward her.

"Bang!"

The sound of glass breaking echoed through the camp as a barrier made from countless zeros shattered beneath his palm. Renata was sent sliding backward before her body smashed through several trees, leaving a long trail of destruction across the land.

Evangeline immediately turned toward the Brightwater troops.

"Retreat! Take Damon’s body with you!"

Lana nodded and quickly grabbed several makeshift coffins. Along with several knights, she carried Damon’s real body away from the central tent.

Aetherus glanced toward them, his eyes settling on one of the coffins Lana was carrying.

"Interesting diversion. However, pointless."

He smiled faintly.

"My brother and I were born from the same source. We can sense each other."

Evangeline shot toward him in a violent streak of golden light. Her sword descended, creating deafening streaks of destructive energy and sparks that exploded in every direction.

Aetherus moved backward, his feet sliding across the ground and leaving deep impressions beneath them. Before Evangeline could follow up, he suddenly reached forward, caught her, and flung her away.

A scythe made entirely of void magic slammed into him.

The weapon pressed toward his chest as Lilith Astranova appeared behind it, both hands gripping the shaft. Her face was filled with murderous intent as she pushed down with all her strength.

Aetherus felt death coming from the scythe.

It was as if the very void itself had taken the form of death.

’What kind of mad entity would allow someone like her to possess such power without even knowing what she is holding?’

He reached out and grabbed the blade with both hands.

Cracks immediately spread around his fingers as the void scythe pushed against him.

"You do realize that if you actually manage to kill me, the whole world dies with me." Aetherus said calmly. "I am this world’s God. This world is me."

Lilith pressed down harder.

Evangeline recovered in midair, twisted her body, and kicked the scythe downward with all her strength.

Aetherus scoffed.

His body began to release an overwhelming divine pressure.

However, before he could exert his full power, Renata suddenly appeared behind him.

Her arms wrapped around his neck.

"Zero."

Aetherus’s expression changed.

Renata’s body began to radiate her unique magic as countless skills erupted from her at once. His power began to fall.

His divine energy.

His magic.

His physical strength.

Everything that made him powerful began to approach zero.

"Your power works on a god..." Aetherus said, genuine shock flashing across his face.

Renata gritted her teeth.

"Well, too bad."

Aetherus twisted his body violently and escaped her grasp. He grabbed Renata and slammed her into Lilith and Evangeline, sending all three of them crashing together.

At the same time, he pushed the void scythe away.

He lowered his gaze toward his hands.

Several wounds had appeared across his palms.

Somewhere on the Demon Continent, a small portion of the land suddenly began to crumble.

It was only a small part of the continent.

But the result was obvious.

They had actually hurt him.

Aetherus’s expression darkened.

Now he was angry.

"Fine."

His divine aura erupted.

"I will take him over your corpses."

He vanished.

When he reappeared, he was already beside Evangeline.

His foot slammed into her abdomen.

The impact sent her flying, but before she could recover, Aetherus raised his hand and unleashed a blast of divine power.

Evangeline immediately formed a barrier in front of herself.

The divine energy struck.

Her barrier shattered.

Her entire body was thrown backward as countless wounds opened across her flesh.

A divine glow filled Aetherus’s eyes.

Now he was seriously angry.
