Justin reveals his father received intel about a demon summoning ritual planned by the Vergas Empire during a festival. Leon already knew this information and questioned Justin about his father's planned response. Justin explained the economic ramifications of disrupting trade with the Vergas Empire, suggesting no action would be taken. Later, Leon summoned Elis and headed to the thirteenth floor to find Dreulis, who was struggling to find a suitable being for a contract, relying on information gathered from fairies.

"Fairies ? You mean the fairies of the forest ?" Leon asked with a confused expression.

"Yes, Yes." Dreulis replied as he started crossing names off of the circles.

"How do the fairies know what’s happening in between gods and angels ?"

"Well, it’s not like angels fall every day, master. It happens barely in 400-500 years and when a angle falls down from their position, he or she is thrown down here, in this world so they can die like a pathetic mortal.

I mean taking immortality from an angel and throwing him in between the mortals is a pretty big punishment in itself. They have to work, earn and feed in order to stay alive. Most start praying immediately in hopes of getting accepted back but some start plotting revenge against the gods who threw them out.

These are the angels that we choose in order to make contract with, as they will do anything to increase their powers and followers." Dreulis explained.

"I see. What about the Demi-Gods ? Why do they sign contract with you ?" Leon asked with a neutral expression as he pointed towards the Demi-God’s names.

"Because they are Demi-Gods. Most of the Demi-Gods were once from this world, Elfs, Goblins, Demons or humans.

Once a being achieves significant powers they become Demi-God and these Gods don’t interfere in the mortal world anymore because they know that their power is just too much for the world to handle.

So, in order to keep themselves entertained Demi-Gods make contracts with the likes of us but that contract is based on competition most of the times." Dreulis explained as he crossed off the names of Demi-Gods from the circle as well.

"What kind of competition ?" Leon asked.

"Well, they get their amusement from getting their own contracted beings to fight each other. Sometimes it’s the same Demi-God’s contracted beings and sometimes two different Demi-Gods get their contracted beings to fight for them so they can decide who will rule that area or realm. Just like the black market.

A Demi-God rules that place but his contracted being keeps an eye on it for him. Demi-Gods are kind of sadistic bastards if you ask me." Dreulis spoke in a neutral tone.

"Demons ? Well, you already had contract with one of those." Leon replied with a neutral expression.

"I did and he died for some reason and so did my contract. Fucking hell, why do demons have to die ? I signed the contract with a demon just because they are the most coward ones and mostly survive everything. Such a dissapoinment." Dreulis replied in a dissapointed tone.

"What was your demon’s demand when you signed the contract ? I mean since the contract doesn’t stand anymore, you can disclose the details right ?" Leon asked with a neutral expression.

"Haa, fine. I was a professor at a second grade academy teaching magic to students who were passionate and respected me very much.

But, one day I fell in love with this other teacher who always smiled at me and we decided to get married. After our marriage I figured out that I wasn’t the only one she smiled at and she only married me because of my money.

I was okay with it, since we were already married and everything, I begged her to stop meeting other guys behind my back, begging might be a small word as I literally grabbed her legs and cried out my eyes in front of her, but she wouldn’t listen to me.

I died everyday when I saw her talking to other guys. You don’t have any idea what it feels to see your woman with another man, it fucking burns." Dreulis spoke in an angry voice as the flames in his eyes glowed brightly blue.

"Well, why didn’t you just divorced her ?" Leon asked with a neutral expression.

"What’s a ’Divorce’ ?" Dreulis asked with a confused expression.

’Ah right, they don’t have the concept of divorce over here.’ Leon thought in his mind.

"I mean, why didn’t you just left her and married another girl ?" He replied with a neutral expression.

"I can’t leave her like that. She is my wife. A husband and wife can’t live separately like that or my reputation would’ve been completely tarnished." Dreulis replied immediately.

"Okay, so what happened next ?" Leon asked with a curious expression.

"One day, when I was eating my dinner I noticed that there was something odd about the food, I just couldn’t figure it out.

But turns out it was a paralysis drug that she had slipped into my food. After paralysing me, she placed a mana restraining collar on my neck and invited her lover, they dragged me to the bedroom and started removing their clothes, they started mating right in front of my eyes.

I felt that torture for the next seven minutes and after mating with each other, she walked upto me and on her lover’s demand she stabbed me in the heart with my own dagger.

As I was dying, the urge to take revenge on that bitch burned brighter than the sun in the sky. That’s when I met that demon, Azul-Ermer.

He offered me a deal that was too good to be true, immortality and revenge on those who wronged me. I took it immediately without even knowing what he wanted in return and that was my biggest mistake.

I came back to life as a Lich and what happened after that isn’t something that I am proud of." Dreulis spoke.

"For some reason, I think I am going to be very proud of you in the next part of your story. Spill it out." Leon replied with a smile.

"I woke up from the dead. My emotions and morales were at the bottom except one, revenge. Walked out of my grave and went straight back to my house.

I didn’t kill them simply, no, no, no, a simple death was too merciful. I tortured them, pulled out every single nerve from their bodies using magic. I healed them slowly and repeatedly tortured them till morning, they screamed and screamed until both of them died from heart attacks.

After killing them, I understood that there was no one else to blame for the anger that I was still feeling and killing them only made it worse, but my worst nightmare was still to come, as the demon came back to collect his debt." Rees spoke as his tone started to get heavier.
