Wen Hanyu and Shang Xixi questioned the Phantom Team's plan to leave Turtle Island amid assurances of a secret method. Over breakfast, they explained mutations stem from parasites, not supplies, and shared intel on the destroyed Red Cliff Base and Silver Guards. When Shang Xixi spotted a facility nano-weapon in a photo and attacked Mo Junjie with lightning, Du Beiye swiftly subdued her with a dagger, forcing an apology.

Following the brief incident, members of the Phantom Team kept chatting about the weapon.

"Junjie, why didn't you mention you could craft nano weapons?" Jiao Lizhi questioned.

"The materials cost way too much. It's not worth it at all. Plus, my blueprint relies on uranium as the primary fuel, which leads to serious health issues over time."

"I warned my teacher back then that the design had major flaws and wasn't practical. Never thought he'd push ahead with it anyway," Mo Junjie clarified.

With the nano weapons now revealed, the puzzle piece they'd been missing finally clicked into place.

"That explains their hunt for the black crystal. They're swapping it in for the uranium," Yuan Ruiyue murmured.

At those words, Jiao Lizhi shared a look with Du Beiye.

They both realized the Organization's pursuit of the Sthanam crystal ran deeper than anyone suspected. Yet, for now, they held back from spilling it, opting instead to let the group accept this theory.

Once breakfast wrapped up, Jin Xuyan announced, "I'll take them back first. You all stay put and wait for me."

"Got it."

As they prepared to depart, the mutants rose to their feet, one piping up, "Brother, could you drop us off too? We can't stand being here anymore."

Lacking Pei Yixie, they had no way to scan for malicious intent in these folks. Still, escorting them to Lin'an City Base posed zero issues. With Xun Che and Wen Hanli on site, a bunch of mutants wouldn't stir up much trouble.

"Come along," Jin Xuyan agreed with a nod.

The mutants grabbed their stuff in a flash and trailed them to the rear chamber. Positioned in the center of the barren space, they eyed him puzzled.

"Link hands," Jin Xuyan instructed.

All obeyed promptly. In the blink of an eye, their sight spun wildly, nausea surging through them. Only when they collapsed onto the unyielding, chilly floor did they register the shift.

A few minutes passed before they regained their bearings. Lifting their gazes, a towering wall loomed far off.

"Hop in the vehicle."

They spun around at the command, spotting a bus parked roadside. Eager not to lag, they dragged themselves forward and climbed aboard.

With the group settled inside, Jin Xuyan took the wheel as Jiao Lizhi dialed out.

"Vice Commander, we'll hit the base in ten minutes." She paused briefly, then continued, "Yes, your brother's here with us. He's got his girlfriend too. Mm-hmm. Got it."

Ending the call, she informed them, "Your brother's coming to greet you himself."

"Thanks," Wen Hanyu replied with a nod.

Silence hung over the trip from there. Upon arriving at the fourth wall gate, Wen Hanli waited alongside his guard squad.

The moment his eyes landed on his sibling, he charged forward, wrapping him in a tight embrace.

"Brother, you're squeezing too hard," Wen Hanyu gasped, tapping his brother's back.

Wen Hanli released him then, scanning head to toe. "You hurt anywhere?"

"Nope, Brother. I'm good."

"Vice Commander, our team's holding for us, so we won't join you," Jiao Lizhi stated.

Wen Hanli faced her and declared, "Comrade Jiao, Captain Jin, thanks for rescuing my brother."

"Just send over the points," Jin Xuyan dismissed with a wave.

"Sure thing."

Task complete, Jin Xuyan and Jiao Lizhi headed back to the Second Colony. Meanwhile, Wen Hanli directed his guards to process the delivered mutants per protocol.

Reuniting with Yuan Ruiyue and company, they activated the space portal for an instant shift to the Red Cliff Base site.

Materializing there, they found Zhang Yuan and the crew inspecting gear. Xiao Qi's face brightened at the sight. "Captain, you've made it at last."

"Trouble brewing?" Jin Xuyan arched a brow.

Pei Yixie scanned the group and queried, "Brother, didn't you link up with Cheng Rui, Cheng Yue, and Brother Fuyun?"

"They're not tagging along?" Jin Xuyan blurted, stunned.

"Nope, they hung back at the mountain for potential support."

Jin Xuyan nearly smacked his forehead at that. Leaning toward his fiancée, he whispered, "Ah Zhi, mind lending a hand?"

Jiao Lizhi laughed softly. "Onward."

Another spatial leap fetched the overlooked teammates. Upon full assembly, Cheng Rui shot them a hurt look, griping, "Captain, how could you leave me behind?"

Jin Xuyan shoved him aside. "Quit your bellyaching. Grab some food, rest up. Meeting in two hours."

Cheng Rui bit back his grumble, dipping his head. "Alright, fine."

Two hours on, the team assembled in a circle within the cavern. With Jiao Lizhi and Du Beiye present, they at last secured a full, precise map of the region.

Using the map supplied by Krayan, Du Beiye sketched a precise layout of the Red Cliff Base and the Sthanam crystal mine. She highlighted the zones that lay in ruins and destruction as well.

Once she finished, Qin Luzi stepped in to share details on the populations of commoners and mutants across every section of the base.

An hour had passed by the time they completed the map. Phantom Team members studied it closely and hashed out their strategies for another thirty minutes.

Finally, they settled on infiltrating the base to carve out a chance for Jiao Lizhi to snatch the crystals.

"Captain, here's the crystal we retrieved from that cave. We've tested it already, and it carries intense radiation," Xiao Qi stated while offering a small chunk of black crystal.

After a short hesitation, he questioned, "Sister-in-law, picking up this risky item—won't it endanger you?"

Jiao Lizhi stretched out her hand for the crystal and responded, "It's okay."

In the instant that followed, Gaia's voice rang out inside her head. "Warning! The Sthanam crystal has been tainted by mysterious substances. Extended direct handling will inflict harm on the Host's body."
