The Phantom Team uncovered the Organization's use of Sthanam crystals as a uranium substitute in nano weapons. Jin Xuyan teleported the rescued mutants and Wen Hanyu to Lin'an City Base, securing their reward before regrouping at Red Cliff Base. After fetching overlooked backup and finalizing a detailed map, they planned to sneak in and enable Jiao Lizhi to extract the crystals, though a sample proved dangerously contaminated.

Upon receiving Gaia's alert, Jiao Lizhi tucked the crystal away into her Space and watched it closely. Moments after it landed on her grassland, the radiation started to fade. She lingered for several minutes until every trace of radiation had vanished completely.

"Gaia, what contaminated the crystal?"

"Scan data indicates that the substance exists solely on the Tarakam Civilization's 18th star, known as the Death Star."

This revelation stunned Jiao Lizhi. The Tarakam Civilization wouldn't emerge until 1 million years after Blue Planet's end.

Though the Matkuna Race hailed from another world and accessed this planet via a space portal, they couldn't possibly carry future materials. Unless… they originated from the identical timeline as the Tarakam Civilization.

As this realization hit her, Jiao Lizhi's heart plummeted.

Unlike the fledgling Matkuna Race, their fully developed civilization proved far more formidable. Despite the Tarakam Civilization's cutting-edge technology, even they failed to wipe out the bugs entirely.

Should the Matkuna Race invading Blue Planet share the same timeline as her and her sister, their odds of victory dwindled to nearly nothing.

Spotting her ashen face, Jin Xuyan grasped her hand and inquired, "Ah Zhi, what's the matter?"

Snapping back, Jiao Lizhi shook her head and murmured flatly, "Nothing at all."

Noting her reluctance to share, Jin Xuyan furrowed his brow yet stayed silent. As the team refined their strategies, Du Beiye got the identical intel from Krayan.

More level-headed than her sister, she merely shot a quick glance at Jiao Lizhi before returning her focus to the team discussion.

Right after wrapping up the meeting, the sunlight abruptly dulled.

Noticing the change, Jiao Lizhi hurried to the cave mouth, sensing the chill plunge sharply. She extended her palm and detected the rising wind intensity. Looking up, she spotted massive dark clouds looming overhead.

"Brother Yan, a snowstorm seems to be approaching."

In response, Qin Luzi channeled his energy to probe the surrounding air. Moments later, he chimed in, "Captain, this could turn into a full blizzard."

Jin Xuyan immediately declared, "We'll hold off on the plan until the blizzard subsides."

"Understood," the team members agreed together.

Dark clouds thickened relentlessly, prompting Jin Xuyan to announce, "Ah Zhi and I will hole up in the small cave. You all stay put here and stay warm."

The group voiced no protests. No one wanted to play third wheel to their Captain and Sister-in-law.

After issuing final orders, Jin Xuyan wrapped an arm around his fiancée's waist and headed to the smaller cave. Once they departed, Chen Wenwu unleashed his ability, encasing the entrance in a heavy ice barrier with just a tiny vent hole.

With idle time on their hands, the members gathered by the campfire for chatter. Feng Yun pulled out a hefty sack of coffee, cream, sugar, and milk from his Space, as Xiao Qi produced a large pot.

They heated up a pot of water and prepared coffee for the group. Sipping hot coffee alongside snacks, everyone savored the relaxed moment.

In the smaller cave, meanwhile, Jiao Lizhi ushered her fiancée into her space. To kill time, they headed to the kitchen for some cooking.

As she sliced vegetables, she proposed, "Brother Yan, why not slip into the crystal mine amid the blizzard and grab those crystals?"

"The storm will force those folks to halt mining, or they'd freeze solid. Perfect chance for us."

Jin Xuyan agreed with a nod, saying, "I've thought the same. But not yet—we need to wait until the blizzard rages stronger."

Her eyes sparkled at his words, and Jiao Lizhi nodded eagerly. "Got it!"

She sensed that gathering more Sthanam crystals might propel her to Level 7. A fragile barrier in her mind felt like it was weakening, ready to shatter anytime.

Having aligned their thoughts, they pressed on with preparing extra dishes.

Meanwhile, at Lin'an City Base, doctors and Fu Zhengde finally cleared Mo Lingshen for discharge. Guards and Shang Yuanling accompanied her out of the facility.

Shortly after entering the vehicle, a megaphone broadcast rang out.

"All Lin'an City Base residents, note: A blizzard approaches in two hours. Remain indoors.

"It could persist several days—stockpile essentials. Seek aid at the closest guard post if needed. Thanks for your cooperation."

Upon catching the announcement, Shang Yuanling faced Mo Lingshen and questioned, "Lingshen, your brother's away on a mission right now. Are you alright staying by yourself at his place?"

Shang Yuanling had visited her nearly every day while she was stuck in the quarantine room, building a strong bond between them.

As the wind began to intensify, Mo Lingshen gave a nod. "My brother stocked plenty of food, water, and medicine for me before he departed. He's also set aside clothes and various supplies at his home just for me."

Shang Yuanling gazed at her briefly before nodding. Her petite frame often made Shang Yuanling see her as a little kid and fuss over her safety. However, even with that youthful appearance, the woman next to her was fully grown and capable of handling things on her own.

Once they reached the apartment complex, she let her out at the entrance. Just before driving off, she passed over a slip of paper and instructed, "Lingshen, if anything comes up, reach me via the base's communication channel. Your brother set one up in the house."

Mo Lingshen took the phone number with a nod and said, "Thank you, Sister Shang."

"Get inside now."
