Qin Luzi detected the first target on the map as the Phantom Team sliced mutant meat thinly to lure more. Bryan Roosevelt's Angelus Lux Team arrived, proposing a crystal core trade for the meat, which provoked tension with a young member. Kelly, revealed as Huaxia's Rong Qiaohui eager to return home, diffused the standoff, prompting both teams to sit down together.

Once all had settled into their seats, Jin Xuyan at last faced Kelly and stated, "It’s not impossible to bring you with us when we return to Huaxia. But we are on a mission and won’t leave until we complete it."

Upon hearing this, Kelly questioned, "Comrade, is there anything I can help you with? I’ve lived in this place for more than 3 years. I can be your guide."

"We want to go to the Red Cliff Base. Do you know where it is?" Xiao Qi inquired.

Right after he spoke, Kelly nodded and responded, "Of course, I know. Red Cliff Base is our base. I’ve lived there since the 2nd month of the apocalypse. My team is also going back. If you want, we can travel together."

The team members grinned inwardly,

The whole discussion occurred in the Thirteen Colonies language, allowing the Angelus Lux Team members to follow along easily.

Noticing Kelly deciding for the entire team on her own, Jane felt displeased. "Kelly, you are not even a core member. The Captain hasn’t even said a word. Who gave you the right to make the decision?"

Her words had barely landed when Li Qixuan sneered and retorted, "And who the hell are you? Just an old and ugly monkey, yet you act as if you are a big shot."

Phantom Team members shot him a glance but stayed silent. This fellow seldom opened his mouth, but his words could kill like poison. That tongue of his was lethally sharp!

Rage flushed Jane’s face bright red. At just 21, she brimmed with youthful collagen. She outshone Kelly in both beauty and strength.

She jabbed a finger at him and yelled, "Are you blind?!"

Her shout unfinished, her body went rigid, and she toppled over, eyes rolling back.

"Jane!"

Her teammates jolted in shock at her abrupt collapse and hurried to examine her.

Seated nearby, Mo Junjie muttered, "Noisy."

With a casual finger snap, a wisp of dark mist emerged from Jane’s skin and flowed back to him. Bryan’s eyes narrowed sharply as he demanded coldly, "What did you do to her?"

"She is just sleeping, not dead," Mo Junjie answered offhandedly.

Before Bryan could press for details, Jin Xuyan cut in. "My team needs a guide to the Red Cliff Base. We can give you some supplies as payment."

Hearing that, Bryan reined in his fury and replied, "How much supplies can we get if we lead you to the Red Cliff Base?"

Moments later, Jiao Lizhi gestured, pulling out the remaining meat from the mutant wolf leader stored in her space.

In addition, she produced 200 kilograms of flour, 100 kilograms of quinoa, baskets of mutant chicken eggs, mutant vegetables, mutant fruits, mutant fish, and barrels of fresh milk from mutant cows.

"Are these enough?" she queried.

Though the quantity seemed modest, every item was mutant produce and meat, worth far more than regular goods—several times over.

Shock and astonishment lit up Bryan and his teammates’ faces at the sight of those supplies. With such rewards at stake, they swallowed their dislike for these outsiders and curbed their irritation.

After brief consideration, he agreed. "It’s a deal."

"We will give you one-third of the supplies as a down payment. Another one-third will be given to you when we are halfway on the journey. The rest will be given to you when we arrive at the Red Cliff Base."

"Okay."

With the deal sealed, Bryan announced, "I need 2 days to arrange my people. We will leave the day after tomorrow."

"No problem," Jin Xuyan agreed with a nod.

Strangers to the area, they too required time to collect intel and chart the surroundings.

As Bryan’s group departed carrying the supplies, Kelly called out, "Captain, I will wait for you here."

Bryan shot her a profound glance before replying, "Whatever."

Watching him storm off in anger, Kelly felt puzzled.

Though perplexed by her Captain’s foul mood, joy filled her at encountering fellow Huaxia people abroad. She pushed his attitude aside.

Once the Angelus Lux Team had gone, Jiao Lizhi and Du Beiye set out to survey the region. Their Systems made mapping effortless.

Meanwhile, the others tidied the building’s lobby for temporary lodging. Spotting pools of black goo, their gazes drifted toward Mo Junjie.

Xiao Qi gathered the crystal cores as the team collaborated to scrub the whole floor clean. Rong Qiaohui observed their teamwork from behind, eyes wide in awe.

Catching her look, Chen Qianfeng probed, "What’s with your expression?"

Snapping out of it, she wondered, "Comrade, may I ask what the average level of your team is?"

"Most of us are at level four, but some members are at level two. The stronger ones are at levels five and six."

Rong Qiaohui gasped sharply. She’d guessed their top fighter hit level five tops, not realizing even average members were this powerful.

"What about the Captain?" she pressed.

"I don’t know. Our Captain didn’t tell us, and no one can gauge his level either," Chen Qianfeng answered nonchalantly.

If no one could sense their Captain’s power, only two options existed. One: he was ordinary—impossible for a leader. Thus, he had to be at least two levels beyond them, his strength beyond their detection.
