Jiao Lizhi and Jiang Ziyi have successfully administered the RV-078 solution to a group of infected individuals, effectively suppressing the Matkuna parasites. However, the treatment requires a constant influx of energy to prevent the hosts from succumbing to the organisms. As the task of sustaining these people exceeds her own capacity, Jiao Lizhi prepares to teach her team the risky and unknown technique of energy transfer to save their lives.

Jiao Lizhi retrieved a pouch of Sthanam crystals from her space and announced, "I am going to demonstrate how to utilize your own bodies as conduits to facilitate the absorption of energy from these crystals."

Upon finishing her statement, she distributed the Sthanam crystals to everyone, adding, "Let us head inside. The area has been thoroughly sanitized and is free from any parasites."

Clutching the crystals, the members followed her into the building. They were visibly startled upon discovering a group of individuals sprawled on mattresses across the floor.

Their skin appeared unnaturally purple, reminiscent of a poisoning victim, yet their steady, rhythmic breathing suggested they were simply in a deep slumber.

Jiao Lizhi knelt beside a female doctor and took her hand. "To function as a medium, you must first absorb the crystal's energy as you normally would," she explained.

"Since everyone possesses different elemental affinities, the rate of energy transfer will fluctuate based on compatibility. For instance, if a metal-type mutant attempts to transfer energy to a fire-type, the process will be noticeably slower."

"Is that because fire suppresses metal?" inquired Su Ruanyi.

Jiao Lizhi nodded. "Precisely. When the recipients sense foreign energy entering their systems, they subconsciously trigger their own internal energy to repel it. This resistance significantly hinders the transfer speed."

"Water and wood are the most ideal elements for this, as their nature is inherently gentle and meets minimal resistance. Above all, however, the psychic-type is superior because it lacks a specific element and remains compatible with everything."

"Sister-in-law, what about dual-type mutants? I possess both psychic and wind types; does that make me more effective?" asked Qin Luzi.

"Even with your psychic ability, the wind type remains a distinct element. Your transfer speed will increase when dealing with fire and water types, but it will suffer if you encounter earth, metal, or wood types."

Lin Fei asked, "Since we cannot identify the elements of others, how should we proceed?"

Jiao Lizhi shook her head. "You cannot directly identify someone else's elemental affinity." Observing their disappointed expressions, she smiled. "However, it is possible to mask the element of your own energy."

The members were stunned. If one could alter their energy's elemental properties, did that not suggest they could harness different elements for combat purposes?

Seeming to read their minds, Jiao Lizhi clarified, "This technique is strictly for energy transfer. Your innate elemental abilities remain fixed by your natural talent."

Though a bit disappointed, the members found this logic sound.

For the next half-hour, Jiao Lizhi instructed them on how to accelerate the transfer process by utilizing the target's own energy.

"Upon contact, draw a sliver of the target's energy into your own body. As you absorb energy from the crystal, channel it directly to the point of contact. Use that focus to guide your energy back into the recipient," she instructed.

Following her guidance, the group practiced the method. While initially struggling to pull the energy from someone else, they eventually mastered the technique after repeated attempts.

Soon, they began pulsing the Sthanam energy toward their palms. The moment their energy touched the stagnant foreign energy within the targets, it began to be consumed ravenously.

Caught off guard, Xiao Qi muffled a pained groan, "Ugh!"

Jiao Lizhi warned, "Do not allow the energy to govern you. You must maintain control; otherwise, you will be completely drained, and the recipient could suffer an explosion of internal pressure due to the influx."

Terrified of becoming a dried-up husk, Xiao Qi quickly steadied his focus to regulate the flow.

Half an hour later, the members finally settled into a steady rhythm.

Noticing their improvement, Jiao Lizhi released the female doctor's hand, having already imparted enough energy to sustain the patient for a significant duration.

As a Level Two mutant, the doctor's body could not handle excessive energy at once, so the team's intervention provided her the necessary relief to recover safely.

To ensure they were well-supplied, Jiao Lizhi handed each of them an additional bag of Sthanam crystals before retreating to the corner to sit down.

Seeing her lean against the wall, clearly exhausted, Jin Xuyan crossed the room and sat beside her. He pulled her close and whispered, "My shoulder is much more comfortable than that hard wall."

Jiao Lizhi chuckled softly. "Brother Yan, I am truly drained."

"Mhmm, then rest. I am here watching over everything," Jin Xuyan promised, pressing a gentle kiss to her hair.

Wrapped in his strong embrace, Jiao Lizhi quickly succumbed to sleep.

Meanwhile, Wei Yunli had received word from Jin Xuyan confirming that Xie Zhou and the others were stable, though the building had to remain under strict lockdown.

She acknowledged the update and directed the Phantom Team to prioritize the safety of the Commander and the medical staff.

The process of purging the Matkuna eggs from the bodies of Xie Zhou and his companions continued for an entire week.

Upon the eighth day of the Phantom Team's presence, Wen Chang finally stirred at dawn.

Surging with a sharp, splitting headache, he groaned while rubbing his temples, "Ugh..."

The team turned in unison at the sound. Seeing their brother finally conscious, Wen Kai and Wen Mo hurried to his side to help him sit up.

"Brother, how do you feel?" Wen Kai asked anxiously.
